We had to unfortunately cancel our stay due to a serious family emergency. The hotel staff were incredibly kind, understanding and helpful, and they kindly allowed us to cancel our reservation given the circumstances. We truly appreciated their compassion and professionalism. We hope to have the opportunity to stay at City Hotel in the future. Thank you very much!
The family room was correct but the single room very small. The buffet was correct but the supposed hot meals were cold ( 20 euros per people). The parking is 20 euros for 1 day. The location is very far from the town ( 50 min by foot, 30 euros for one way by taxi)Too much expansive for the quality and service
A genuinely wonderful hotel with exceptional service, comfortable rooms, and a fantastic breakfast, though it's a 20-minute walk from the Old Town that is easily managed with frequent buses and daily passes. While peak season crowds caused some morning hot water issues, the wonderful reception staff resolved it by providing free breakfast for our entire stay, making it a truly great hotel as long as you account for the distance and shower timing.
Our honeymoon night at City Hotel Dubrovnik was truly memorable. The hotel surprised us with a local Plavac Mali wine from the Pelješac region as a honeymoon gift — a thoughtful and well-chosen gesture. Dinner was equally impressive; although our tour group of around 27 was the only party that evening, the entire restaurant was opened and fully staffed for us without any compromise in service. The food was delicious and matched our taste perfectly. We felt genuinely taken care of throughout the stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special experience in Dubrovnik. Overall, a great hotel! The rooms are quite spacious and well-equipped with amenities. We arrived around noon and were luckily provided with an early check-in, which we really appreciated. The location is also super convenient, with a supermarket, bakery, and the airport bus stop right next door. The highlight of our stay in Croatia, however, was definitely the friendliness of the staff. A special shout-out to Martha. I had a late flight and had to wait in the lobby for a few hours, and she was incredibly kind. She helped me charge my phone and we had a lovely chat that made the time fly by. She was always smiling and attentive to all the guests. Wishing you all the best, Martha! Thank you for making our stay so memorable.
