We stayed at the Spencer hotel for 1 night. We asked to change rooms because o a very noisy neighbour and the hotel staff nicely obliged. We managed to enjoy the swimming pool as well as the bar restaurant, all very agreable. A special mention to Mayra who was particulary nice and accomodating.

We stayed here for 13 nights to attend an event. The room was clean and serviced properly daily. The service was excellent. The front desk receptionist, Hamid went above and beyond helped me sort out my kid's dental emergency situation. He took his time and helped me calling numerous dental offices and my travel insurance company. I felt so relieved when we finally got an appointment from a clinic which wasn't too far from the hotel same day. Highly recommend this place although the rates are a bit high. To be honest, you get what you pay for. Its a 4 star hotel, but I felt that we received 5 star service. So, its worth it.
Room was a good size with large bathroom, clean and the shower was amazing. Bar area quite noisy. Staff were very nice. You have to wear a swim cap in the pool which is annoying. No need to in the jacuzzi though which was good. Didn't try the food. Hotel a bit too far away from midday of the main attractions but walking distance to Trinity, plus it's right next door to Epic. Also a tram stop very close but it gets very busy at peak times. Felt very safe and the rooms were quiet with very comfy beds.
The rooms were so nice. The bathroom was very nice. The only thing I did not like was that my king bed was 2 twins pushed in together. I was not happy about this. The hotel is very clean and the star of the show was the amazing amenity center. The pool, gym, sauna, and hot tub were all state of the art. As an athlete and someone who love to workout while on holiday this was perfect for me. But the twin bed king situation was not pleasant for me.
The Spencer is a hotel only worth staying at if you have to be at the Convention Centre. There is no other good reason. There are plenty of better hotels around. The hotel lacks charm, personality and most importantly a service culture. It lacks basic hospitality principles. The F&B is atrocious, my room included breakfast - it resembled a school hostel. For the price they are charging they should be ashamed. If you do land up staying there, book a room only rate and go to Sprout or one of the many charming restaurants nearby. I ordered a chicken burger from room service, I signed it to my room, in the middle of my meal they knocked on the door to ask for cash payment as my room had no credit on it - this took me by surprise as I gave my credit card to the receptionist on check in. (for this purpose) I left some laundry in the hotel room, counted, signed and sealed in the bag. I returned that evening to find the room had been cleaned but the bag was still there. When I went down to reception they told me that I had to hand this in at reception - the slip doesnt state that... After two days the laundry had not been returned, when I enquired why they told me I first had to pay for it before they would return it???? Housekeeping start work at 8am, you can forget about sleeping in. They shout from one end to the other on the floors. This happened daily. I have plenty more examples... I was there for a week.
