It’s just okay so far. FYI the mattresses are super firm, moreso than most hotels. So keep that in mind if you prefer softer. Dinner was delicious in the lounge - oysters and seafood chowder were great. I’d say overall the service is so-so, the doormen do not say hello or make eye contact, actually everyone in the hotel has just been… blah. I’m a woman traveling solo in my 40’s, maybe that’s why.

The Fitzwilliam has become one of my favourite hotels for business trips to Dublin - to the point where staying anywhere else now feels like an unnecessary experiment. The location is brilliant, the rooms are extremely comfortable and I consistently get an amazing night’s sleep. In fact, the beds may be slightly too comfortable. Getting up for a morning meeting requires considerably more discipline than it should. But the real reason I keep coming back is the staff. The welcome is always warm, genuine and unmistakably Irish. Everyone is attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and you never get the impression that hospitality is something they’ve learned from a training manual. Alejandro, front of house, deserves a special mention. It is always a joy to be checked in by him. He remembers you, welcomes you back like an old friend and somehow manages to make arriving for a business trip feel like coming home. Frankly, I receive a warmer welcome from Alejandro and the team than I do from some members of my own family. The food is also excellent and breakfast is dangerously good. I’m normally a fairly sensible breakfast person, but the Fitzwilliam has repeatedly demonstrated that I apparently have no self-control when presented with a hotel buffet. The bar is another favourite - perfect for meeting friends for a drink before dinner and even better for returning afterwards for a “quick nightcap.” We all know there is no such thing as a quick nightcap in Dublin. Ultimately, there are plenty of beautiful hotels with comfortable rooms and good locations. What makes the Fitzwilliam stand out is that it has something much harder to manufacture: genuinely lovely people. Great rooms. Excellent food. Fantastic location. Brilliant staff. Wonderful atmosphere. One of my favourite hotels in Dublin and somewhere I genuinely look forward to returning to.
You could not get a better location right in the heart of Dublin. Superior service as soon as you step out if your transport at the front door. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Oversized bathtub for a luxurious soak after a day of travel or sightseeing. You are in close walking distance to tram, amazing high end shopping, Trinity College & St Stevens Green. Highly recommended
Excellent stay at The Fitzwilliam Hotel Dublin. The room is amazing, beautifully designed, comfortable, spacious, and very well maintained. The staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Dublin and within walking distance of everything you need. Despite the central location, the hotel still feels comfortable and relaxing. Overall, a great experience from start to finish. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin.
STYLE Modern decor compared to what you’d find in a traditional hotel so may not appeal to all tastes but I personally found it very nice. STAFF Warm and friendly. Very happy to help. LOCATION Very well situated close to the green and transport. OVERALL Quite an expensive option but you are paying for the quality and uniqueness. What highly recommend.
