Lovely stay at the Dean. Great vibe and atmosphere that made the whole experience feel special. Room was very comfortable, and the hotel had a fresh, contemporary feel. Location was great for enjoying everything Dublin has to offer, and overall, really enjoyed our stay. Our only small suggestion would be to improve the bathroom doors, as they didn’t close all the way, which makes bathroom visits less private if sharing the room! Aside from that, everything was wonderful! We’d happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stylish stay in Dublin.

Grace, Mike and Harcourt Street made arriving early, and heading out on foot, unusually easy. "Cosy" is a hotel word that usually needs translating. At The Dean Dublin, it means what it says: small. The hotel lists its Cosy room at 12 square meters, and no one will mistake it for a suite. That honesty is part of why I liked it. I stayed Oct. 3-5, 2026 and the room felt designed for its actual size rather than like a standard room that had lost a fight with a floor plan. Everything was close, but nothing I needed was missing. In a space this compact, flaws have nowhere to hide. A bad temperature becomes the whole room. An uncomfortable bed becomes the only furniture that matters. Mine was spotless. The temperature stayed right, the bed was comfortable, and the shower, towels, toiletries and Barry's Tea setup all worked as they should. So did the darkness, which made for good sleep. The Dean leans into a moody, low-lit look in its corridors and rooms, but it stops at just enough light. I never had to choose between atmosphere and finding my belongings. One light fixture in particular stayed with me, which is a ridiculous thing to remember about a hotel room and probably proof the room did its job. It had personality. Nothing felt pulled from the international-hotel warehouse marked "inoffensive." I arrived about seven hours before normal check-in. Mike, at the front desk, offered to hold my luggage so I could start exploring Dublin instead of waiting for a room. That would have been plenty. Later, my phone rang. It was Mike. My room was ready, there was no early check-in charge, and I could return whenever I liked. What stayed with me was not the early room but that he had remembered the guest who showed up absurdly early and closed the loop himself, rather than leaving me to wander back and ask. Grace was just as good. She patiently handled my very American questions about Tesco cards and taxi service, and when I called the desk to ask whether I should wear a hoodie, she treated it as a question worth answering. I left The Dean with Grace and Mike as the two names attached to the welcome I received. I live in Salem, Massachusetts, where walking is how I experience a place every day. So I notice the difference between a hotel that is technically central and one that lets you step outside and start. The Dean sits on Harcourt Street, just south of St. Stephen's Green (which I started each day with three to four loops). Iveagh Gardens are close, and Grafton Street, Trinity College and the older center of Dublin lie beyond the green. I spent about 95 percent of my stay on foot, and the geography kept working in my favor. I never felt I was commuting from my hotel to the city. I opened the door and Dublin was already there.
Place is spotless bed was soooo comfy and the pillows had best night sleep. It was quiet shower fab and the shower products smelt devine heated bathroom floor and towel rail aswell. There's a luas just near the hotel to get into city centre. We parked at St Stephen Green which isn't far from hotel. Staff are all very friendly. Never got chance check out Sophies or the gym or pool. Highly recommended tho
Daniel (or Danielle) was our server. He exceeded every expectation and could read our desired pace, and level of service without being told. A true professional. We came to this hotel for our honeymoon and tried to sneak in without a reservation. We didnt mention it was our honeymoon because we didn't want to put the restaurant in a tough spot, but the managers on duty still they found a way to get us sat and we had an absolutely fantastic dinner. The hotel receptionist also gave us some little gifts when she heard the occasion we were celebrating. Not only will we be back to the dean when we come back to ireland, but it will be one of our biggest motivations to get back out to this beautiful place. Stay at the dean, eat the wonderful food, and ask for Daniel as your server, you will not be disappointed.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a fantastic stay at The Dean Dublin. The hotel has a great atmosphere and a really stylish, modern feel. The room was comfortable, clean and beautifully presented, and everything was exactly what we needed for a great stay in the city. The staff were absolutely brilliant — friendly, welcoming, professional and very accommodating. They were always happy to help and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is also excellent for exploring Dublin, with plenty of restaurants, bars and attractions nearby. Overall, a fantastic experience and one I would happily recommend. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again! 😊
