We booked this because it was a dog friendly hotel and there’s a €40 charge for pet. Room itself was quite spacious but there was no dog friendly items in the room, no dog bed, no bowls.. nothing. I wonder what that €40 charge was for then. We got the room very end of the hall, besides toilets. So overnight, we hear people using toilets, footsteps, talking. Soundproof needs to be improved…. It was very loud overall. Location of this hotel is good and comes with a free parking.

A charming stay in Dublin! 🇮🇪🏨 My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our three-night stay at Pembroke Townhouse! The location was perfect, just far enough outside the city center to experience a more authentic side of Dublin, surrounded by locals rather than tourists. We loved the hotel’s historic, old-fashioned charm. It gave the place a lot of character! Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the price was excellent for what we got. There were a few minor issues. We noticed some hairs on the bathroom floor when we first checked in. After housekeeping cleaned our room, they also left the window open, making the room a bit chilly. Unfortunately, our mini-fridge didn’t seem to work, even after trying the switch, and some snacks we purchased ended up spoiling. Despite these small inconveniences, we had a wonderful stay! Great value, plenty of character, and a lovely location for experiencing Dublin beyond the tourist areas. We would happily stay here again! 🇮🇪
I recently stayed here while attending an Erasmus training course for teachers. The hotel is beautiful, tastefully furnished in perfect Georgian style, and kept impeccably clean. Breakfast was generous and delicious, offering a great start to the day. A special thanks to the staff, who were consistently courteous and extremely helpful throughout my stay. The location is also excellent, with great transport connections to the city center. I would definitely stay here again! Azzurra Vescovo
Honestly, the rooms were fine. Small with high ceilings, no air and a window that only opened a bit. During our stay, the staff were polite and helpful. However, their Service Rating went into the toilet, when they refused to ship something to me that was left behind in my room. I even offered to pay for it and still they refused. I was even told by someone that, "We're not a courier service, you need to figure this out on your own". How nice. I reminded this person how much money we had spent over the course of 4 days, between the room and meals and drinks at the attached pub/restaurant, yet I was summarily dismissed. It's a fine place, just don't expect them to go out of there way to do anything that is not in their job description. Location was not great either. If you wanted to get into the main part of the city, it was a 40 minute walk or a 20 euro cab ride.
Good location for tourist visit if you need parking. Good sized room facing the street - a bit of road and plumbing noise. Excellent shower. Good breakfast including cooked options prepared to order. No kettle in room but can prepare tea/coffee in reception. Desk is staffed 24/7. Decor is good but a little maintenance needed here and there. Gated car park via a back alley gives easy access to hotel for luggage (no need to take cases up front steps).
