I stayed at Aloft Dublin City for a few nights ahead of a work trip, and it was the perfect home base. The location in the Liberties is fantastic: I walked to Pearse Lyons Distillery, it was an easy hop to Jameson Bow Street across the river, and getting to the DART for a day trip out to Howth was simple. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable, and the bed and blackout curtains were exactly what I needed after an overnight flight from the US. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. I work in travel and would happily recommend Aloft to clients looking for a stylish, well-located stay in Dublin. I'll be back!

Great hotel in Dublin outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. We never had more than a 25 minute walk to any of the sites we visited. The service was also great; they gave us an early check-in and helped us get a taxi to the airport when we left. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in a quieter area but still close enough to walk to different locations in the city.
Extremely disappointed in the lack of care given to their guests and their experience. Attempted to stay here but had the unfortunate situation where my flight was cancelled and was unable to go on my trip. I reached out to the hotel immediately (before the duration of the stay) and they were completely unsympathetic during an extremely stressful situation. My full intention was to complete my stay and not be stranded in another country. I understand it was not on them that I couldn’t get there but the hotel was not sold out and the rooms still could have been resold. When I spoke with them they blamed it on the fact that I used Priceline to book the trip. Priceline reached out to them multiple times and told me they would have completely or even partially refunded the trip if the hotel was willing to make a one time exception due to the circumstances being completely out of my control. They also gave me a complete runaround and tried to say that I could plead my case to the reservations manager. They only provided me with an email address that I tried to reach out to 5 times and every single time my email was marked undeliverable. I have multiple family members in Director/management positions at different hotels. They’ve all told me that “policies” are 100% up to the hotel’s discretion and they would have had more sympathy and care for their guests in extreme circumstances like this. This has really soured my experience with Marriott as a whole. It is unlikely that I would choose to stay at this or any Marriott in the further because of the poor treatment we received.
The stay was nice, the hotel was pretty the rooms were great. The staff was nice. They had a nice restaurant on the top floor but they are not elevator fear friendly the stairs are alarmed and they didn’t have one of those special elevator keys common in America. The staff accommodated me which I very much appreciate as I had no where else to go and had taken stuff for the plane. If you are also from America and have this fear do a lot of research into your hotels before you go!
I didn't stay as a guest but I attended a party in the roof bar. Lovely bar and seating area. Space for entertainment and a dance floor as well as ample lounge seating. Can take quite a big group and you can see across the city from the huge windows. Staff were fantastic. Loved the food. One thing to note if you're booking is that, because of noise concerns, any entertainment has to cut off relatively early. So a lovely venue for a daytime or early evening party but maybe not ideal for a late party with a band or DJ playing past bedtime. We were still there until past midnight. It's just the DJ who had to finish earlier.
