Evening Desert Safari Dubai With Camel Ride & Bbq Dinner

Sultan Raza was our guide plus driver. It was very hot and Sultan timed our tour perfectly so that we beat the heat and had all the time to enjoy every activity. Great communication from Sultan. Picked us up at the exact time. We drove about an hour out of Dubai for the desert safari. Sultan explained about all important sights on the way. He timed the activities perfectly, we got great sunset views. He carried a surf board, so we were able to surf in the sand. Some other drivers did not have a surf board. He seems to be an expert driver, particularly during dune bashing. It was a ton of fun but he was in full control. The tour was the best experience we had on this trip. We were greeted with Complimentary water, tea and coffee. Started with a camel ride followed by dune bashing. Perfect timing to catch sunset views with desert dunes background. Did sand surfing and returned to camp for a great dance show ending with a hair raising fire show. Dinner was served once the show was underway. All in all it was adrenaline filled, fun and great sunset views tour. I will highly recommend Sultan Raza as your tour guide plus driver.

I wrote a review 2 days ago and then deleted it . This review will give you the reason. First, let me say this is a very good excursion. It's located about 1 hour outside of Dubai and is a part of the Arabian Desert. Our driver was very good at communicating with us and picked us up from our hotel on time. His SUV was comfortable and clean. He was very safe as a driver and put us at ease. The excursion itself was great. There is a gift shop to get a scarf and the shopkeepers will even wrap it for you. It cost about 80-90AED but you can probably haggle with them if you want. There is a man with a falcon to take pictures and lots of cats around. There is also an opportunity to go ATV riding if you would like. The dune bashing was thrilling. Be prepared to be thrown from side to side in the SUV. If you suffer from car sickness or back problems this is not for you. Next up is the sand surfing. You can either sit down or stand up. There is also a man with a falcon who you can take pictures with in the desert. Just know he charges 30AED and the guy with the falcon in front of the concessions charges 10AED. Next up, you take a drive to the area where there is Camel riding and the BBQ. The free Camel Ride is a quick 2 minute ride in a circle. If you want to do a longer ride, it costs more. Next we have the BBQ buffet and dinner show. There are 2 sections. One is seated on pillows and the other is seated on couches. The one on couches cost an extra 50AED and comes with being able to eat first. If you choose the option to sit on the pillows, you won't eat until 8pm. Almost 2 hours later than the rest. Just know there will be so many merchants coming up to you to sell you things. From photos, sand bottles, jewelery, perfume, hookah, and more. The food is fantastic and bountiful. So much food and dessert. The desert show was amazing. So much talent in one show. The fire dancing portion is phenomenal. There is also henna painting for ladies, but know there is only 1 lady doing it. Be prepared for a line. I would have given this excursion 5 stars if it hadn't been for our driver. He came up to me in the middle of the excursion and demanded I review it before the excursion ended. He literally took my phone and put 5 stars and submitted it before I had a chance to review it. That was not very good of him and the company he represented. I honestly felt intimidated and not safe. I would absolutely do this excursion again, but I would definitely not want to hassled to leave a star review.

From start to finish our guide Kami was really hospitable, helpful and most importantly he was really friendly. He made our experience so exciting and fun. We all had a great time at the quad biking, the camel ride and the dune bashing and Kami was such a skilful driver which made us feel so comfortable.

We had a fantastic time with Sam as our guide! The car was clean and confortamble, Sam informed us on upcoming events, what to expect and generally looked after us very well to make sure we all got the best spots and we're comfortable. Highly recommend this trip! Myself and the whole family (including an 8yr old) had a highly enjoyable and memorable time!

This was a great excursion. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Dubai for a fun experience. The camel ride was the highlight for me & my sister. The driver was also great, picked us up from hotel and very responsive. He also was great at getting us to each stop on time.

Desert Safari in Dubai was an amazing experience. The afternoon was filled with activities from dune bashing and sandboarding at the sunset to evening entertainment with live performances and dinner at the camp. Our guide Kaami made sure everyone had a great time and his personal approach was very appreciated. We couldn't have asked for a better guide :). I can highly recommend! Would do it again!

Everything went beyond expectations! Ibraheem, our driver, was on time, very well organized and efficient, professional, patient, courteous, but more over an excellent driver on the road and off road! He made us feel very safe. The kids loved him. The planning went very smoothly, the fun was never over!

This was honestly one of the worst, most degrading experiences we’ve ever had. What was supposed to be a relaxing family outing became a stressful, filthy, and humiliating disaster. We were treated like we didn’t matter—despite paying extra for VIP, we were dumped in dirty seating, charged more on top without warning, and even had to deal with ants, cats eating our food, and staff that were downright rude. The so-called VIP area was disgusting—covered in ants, no proper cooling, and we had to be removed for “health and safety” because it was too unhygienic to even sit in. Staff ignored us, slammed drinks on our table, muttered under their breath, and acted like we were a burden. Water was brought late, hot, and only one bottle for a family of five. Completely unacceptable, let me add there was no show very silent and boring stage was empty most the time and crap music . We felt so uncomfortable we wanted to leave early. If it weren’t for our driver stepping in (even though it wasn’t his job), we would’ve walked out. The food was inedible—cold, old, and we literally had a cat eating off our plate. I also saw other families being refused food completely. Just shameful. I have photos of the cat taken on our digital camera no control at all…. This was an absolute disgrace from start to finish. I’m demanding a full refund, and I expect it to be processed immediately. No one should be paying for this kind of treatment.

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the appalling experience my family and I had at your desert camp. What was meant to be a memorable and relaxing outing turned into an incredibly stressful, unhygienic, and upsetting ordeal. I am demanding a full refund for this experience, as the service provided was far below any reasonable standard, let alone what was advertised or paid for. From the moment we arrived, the camp was disorganised, chaotic, and poorly managed. There was no clear communication, no welcoming atmosphere, and no guidance. Despite having booked VIP seating, we were shocked to find it dirty, poorly maintained, and nothing close to what was promised. To make matters worse, we were charged an additional 250 AED (£50), plus an extra card fee, on top of the initial booking cost. This was never mentioned beforehand and felt like a dishonest money grab. The VIP area itself was filthy and infested with ants. When we raised concerns, we were briefly moved to a VIP room, which was again dirty and so unhygienic that we were removed for health and safety reasons. We were forced to sit outside in the extreme heat, with no proper air conditioning or basic comfort. Even worse was the treatment we received from your staff. They were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the evening. Drinks were slammed on our table without a word, cold bottled water was brought late, and often only one was given despite us being a family of five. When we tried to ask for help, staff would mutter under their breath, walk away, or simply ignore us. We felt deeply unwelcome and uncomfortable, especially given that we had paid extra for a "VIP" experience. In the end, it was our driver—who was not even part of your staff—who stepped in to help us throughout the evening. His kindness was the only redeeming part of the night, and it’s telling that he had to take over the role of your own team. The food provided was another disaster: it was cold, tasted old, and a cat climbed onto our table and began eating from our plates. I was shocked at the complete lack of hygiene and control. Meanwhile, I also witnessed basic ticket holders not receiving any food at all—one family with a small child was outright denied food after waiting in long queues. This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a tourist attraction. It felt exploitative, unsanitary, and utterly careless in every aspect—from customer care to cleanliness to basic human decency. I am requesting a full refund for this unacceptable experience. Anything less would be an insult after the stress, discomfort, and disrespect we endured. Please confirm when I can expect to receive the refund.

I am absolutely thrilled with the tour. Khan did a great job and showed us the desert with all its beauties. He drove an off-road vehicle and did dune-bashing with us. It was exciting and a huge experience. Afterwards, Khan took us to a desert camp and there was good food and a dance show. I really liked the tour. Thank you very much Khan for this great day.
