Great Staff were helpful and cute. Photos are not overpriced. Managed to get amazing memories with my baby Except for silly parents who brought a child afraid of insects. Everything was perfect. Butterflies were respected and well looked after. The photographers made sure beautiful moments were captured.
We added this trip onto the Miracle Gardens package and what an experience it was. I wasn't sure what to expect, are they all in cages, display cabinets, alive, dead??!! well we walked into a museum type room and took in all the beautiful pictures, collages and displays and a bit of education about the butterflies in general and what we'll be seeing on our visit, then we ventured into one of 4 x rooms as part of our tour. The minute we walked in we were amazed to see huge blue butterflies from Columbia all around us playing and showboating, thousands of them all eating, flying around all up close and personal, it was lovely, every room had different species of butterflies and there were many rooms where you could go into to let them sit on you, land on your fingers and arms etc, very surreal. Well worth a visit, sounds bizarre but 2/3 hours of lovely natural wildlife up close. Air Conditioned rooms, toilets, gift shops, tour guides etc on site.
Totally rubbish. Cannot understand the positive reviews. It is a mould park, not a butterfly park. There is mould and fungus everywhere. There are 4 domes. The 4th is the best. The first three stink mouldy. U can see the dark patches on the photos. Plastic parrots…. Really? Parts of the wall surfaces caved in. A handful of butterfly species at best and the same throughout all zones. Best if all: Exit Door.
Amazing experience the butterfly’s were so pretty and got great photos with their wings open, the favourite was the blue butterfly’s that are nocturnal and our friendly guide was a lovely Indian lady who stayed with us and gave us useful fun information the whole time
Amazing, so many flowers and flower sculptures. Better go early in the morning to avoid heat and crowds. It takes 2 hours to see it all and make some great photos
As stated in a previous review, 4 domes are accessible. The last one was rather nice, the rest looks a bit outdated. Time and money could be spent better at a different activity. Personally would not visit again.
The display is broken down into 4 zones which are interlinked. On entering the premises the reception area shows an excellent display of butterflies in frames. In the zones the butterflies fly round freely & some do land on you so if you are a person who doesn’t like this sort of display this is not for you. The staff were very pleasant & informative. Refreshments can be purchased on the way out.
This place is a miracle, I recommend it! The butterflies sit on you, its amazing! There are a lot of species flying arround
As Dubai is very hot we wanted to do something in doors and we love butterflies, this was a lovely experience well worth a visit if you want calm and time to just watch the butterflies around you. There are 4 different rooms all filled with beautiful butterflies and the staff were on hand to explain the process from egg to butterfly. It was only £12 to get in and we were there over an hour so good value for money . 10/10 visit
It was so clean and everyone was friendly and the butterflies were amazing. Well worth a visit and excellent value for money .
It’s a large facility with 4 sections. The experience was ok, nothing great I would not say this is must do if you are in Dubai. The staff was excellent.
A family of 6 attended Dubai butterfly garden. Plz Floor not kids friendly my 4 year son tripped from the stone type floor that was not structured probably broken at parts that got him tripped and cut badly on his knees, the funny part that they had no first aid in hand or a plaster. Very disappointed with my experience. And don’t recommend it if you have a young one. Specially that they are aware of the flooring that problem.
Amazing experience… the butterflies were very friendly and would easily come on your hand. Top tip: wear a white outfit to attract maximum butterflies!
Unique experience with all the butterflies up so close .So many were flying around us.I had a chance to have one my hand.So beutiful when flying showing the blue side of their wings
During your stay in Dubai you should invest about 2 hours to see this place. We very really astonished about what we could see. They have butterflies which are about 15 cenimeters in diameter and they can sit on your arms or fingers. Very knowleable guides do explain everything in detail to the visitors.
It’s very basic and limited butterfly, can be done in 45 min max. As usual once you leave any section there are face painting and other stuff to charge you more. Temperature is ok
The Garden was full of beautiful butterflies to see and many displays. The staff explained the exhibit and I was happy that was able to hold a beautiful in my hand. A must see
Medium sized exhibit . Completed in about an hour or so . A variety of butterfly kept In temperature controlled gardens . There is a small pond with a few Koi fish. Wish they would put up a few screens with some short videos on butterfly so we can learn more about . Watch your step, some butterfly tend to rest on the floor . Worth a one time visit , good experience for kids who are comfortable with insects
Was easy to do the booking and had no issue with the ticket at the butterfly park. Experience was amazing and had so much fun. NO STRESS AT ALONE TO QUEUE FOR TICKET. Highly recommend!
It was a decent experience but it would have been good if there were people to guide through the life cycles and types of butterflies we were looking at. Visitors were just left to roam around and play with butterflies on their own. Also I am not sure if this was due to time of the year or otherwise but I think there were more variety of (dead) butterflies used at the entrance corridor as decorations than what I found (live) inside the garden
Such a nice place to visit in Summer. I was just looking for a place to visit but something which is indoor and peaceful and I had an eye on this place on Internet while I was researching. This place is super amazing and filled with a pot of butterflies. If you love playing around butterflies you are going to love this place. Must visit with family.
Beautiful place to visit while in dubai , easy to reach and plenty of space to park . Many species of beautiful and friendly buterflies will land on your face , hand , clothes, etc . The employees are nice and friendly . We visited on the 25th morning as it is an air-conditioned garden , it wasn't busy . Our guide ( i guess miguel) was extremely nice ,helpful, and so knowledgeable. They do have as well some activities for kids, including face painting. Kimberly was very talented and transformed our daughter's face to a beautiful purple butterfly. The only downside and why 1 star was removed is that we could not see any caterpillars as sadly they do not have them on the garden ! Really Sad, as the experience will never be completed without caterpillars .
We spend an afternoon walking through this amazing place, enjoying the butterflies up close, and marveling at the beauty of it all. You can hold the butterflies and the staff helped us take pictures. I did wish there was more information on the lifecycle and all the different types of butterflies we saw.
Amazing worth seeing happiness around. Seeing butterfly around is magical . My daughter love it always. This is our 2nd time and every time is so spectacular
It might be nice for children to visit but they should know it’s not a petting zoo. It‘s a bit run down and much smaller as expected - I wouldn’t know how to spend more than 45 min there. And afterwards I felt I needed a kitsch detox, but of course this is very subjective. Go in early to be able to enjoy it best. It’s sad you see some butterflies with partly destroyed wings; some people do not respect living creatures. It was not informative beyond the level of elementary school which I personally found disappointing. I also wished they would create a more natural surrounding with more of the plants these butterflies actually feed on - they get fruit pieces to attract them, though. It would have been interesting to give at least one exemplary view of the total life cycle of one species, how they depend on a specific plant and how a sane environment is vital for their survival. There are some preserved exhibits of chrysalis but you can’t see any caterpillars in action; nor at least pictures of what they look like before they become butterflies. Bottom line: The whole place needs a total make-over, more in the vein of the sustainability pavilion on the expo site.
It was a nice place and have a beautiful flowers, I love the butterflies. But, the thing is the area is small.
Incredible and amazing place to visit while in Dubai. Everything is just spectacular and the most awesome experience ever. To have the butterflies fly around while you are in the same enclosed area is exceptional. So many different species of butterflies and colours. Just an incredible and exciting time we had.
Wonderful experience we had and it is an attraction everyone visiting Dubai must see. Thank you to all the people who are working there
very expensive for that, i stayed 15 minutes and paid for 4 peoples. very boring, i lost 250AED. i don’t recommend that to anybody
We took our Grandaughter age 11 and she loved it. So many butterflies that land on you and hold them. Lovely for children. Only a very small Starbucks with a few sandwiches if you want food.we walked round to the Miracle garden. Which too is worth a visit. Plenty of food there !
There should be stricter rules regarding the encounters with these wonderful creatures. First of all, entering the building was the first room, which was quite surprising at first sight. It was decorated with ummmm, 'the dead remains of butterflies organized to create a big portraits'. So yeah, the first room, part of a butterfly garden, was decorated with dead bodies of these creatures organized to make a painting. We were quite surprised and disgusted at the same time. And you might be saying, those may have been dead before they put them in the frame! But no, these butterflies were in quite good conditions considering they were dead. So there is a good chance these butterflies were killed purposefully just to be displayed here. I mean, dozens of butterflies were killed and sacrificed just for a picture of a ladybug. Absolutely Revolting. So that's one example of animal cruelty. But wait, there's more! Now, the actual gardens. The most concerning part of this review are the actual gardens. Now, this includes my opinion and other's. First of all, before entering the 3 giant domes, staff greet you and remind you not to pull or grab on the Butterflies' wings which I appreciate. But here's where things start to get a bit concerning. Inside of the domes, staff walk around to check on visitors, but there have been multiple cases of kids, children and even adults, grabbing the butterflies just for them to sit on them. The staff are meant to protect the butterflies, not walk around and stare! In some cases the butterflies were severely injured and harmed. A visitor said that one of the butterflies she had held wasn't flying, because it was missing 1/4 of it's wings and 3 out of 6 legs! In the third dome they tell you the butterflies will land on you because they are tired and lazy, but to me that seems like a good excuse to say, the butterflies are badly hurt and can't take-off. Out of all of the things I have ever seen in Dubai, this is probably the worst. 99% Do not visit.
The place is so besutiful and has a great atmosphere. I had an amazing time and recommend it to everyone! Truly a chill, fun and interesting activity, loved it so much.
Its a good place if you have kids. There are lots of butterflies in protected environment created under three covered structures. Too many to some times creep you out! I felt the visit was a bit expensive considering the whole structure can be visited in less than an hour. There is a small cinema at the corner where you can watch whatever is on display.
I've visited the butterfly garden multiple times, it's a great place to take the kids! My daughter loved running around and seeing all the butterfly's and I also enjoyed the experience!
Wonderful, Beautiful, Delicate! There are several different butterfly areas. (Four, I think) In each area there is an arbor where there are numerous butterflies that one can Gently scoot one's hand under and have a beautiful creature resting there. There is bird song piped in which is quite nice, as they would't want actual birds and lots of plants. There were folks to answer questions and explain about the butterflies. At one point I thought I saw a bat out of the corner of my eye! However, it was a giant beautiful Moth! I asked where it's proboscis was (for eating). I learned these giant creatures live as adults for only 7 days!! And they don't eat! WOW! The colorful butterflies are constantly flittering all around, enveloping one. It is wonderful and beautiful. Almost feels like a fairy land.
We have visited ethical butterfly enclosures in the past (in different countries) and were hoping for a similar experience but unfortunately didn’t get that. The enclosure itself lacked the effort to replicate the true environment of butterflies - sparse plants, strange plastic animals/birds dotted around as decoration, flaking paint from the ceiling. It also had a very unpleasant smell. There were not very many butterfly species, and the species they did have were very large. Neither of these points is necessarily a criticism, but what felt uncomfortable was the amount of them in the enclosure. It felt like far too many butterflies were there compared to the amount of plants. Most of the butterflies were clinging to the ceiling or window as opposed to being amongst the plants. We also spotted several dead butterflies, again it is understandable that there may be some dead butterflies as the life span is short, but it felt like there was no effort that these were being moved from the enclosure. We also saw several injured butterflies walking along the paths, which is concerning as to how they became injured in an enclosure. We observed people touching and picking up the butterflies which was upsetting to see. The doors to the enclosure were also not secure therefore we noticed butterflies in the hallway. There was also an aviary at the back. It appeared cramped and over crowded and the birds looked sad. One was also on the outside of the cage.
Spectacular! Hundreds of butterflies inside a massive greenhouse filled with trees, flowers, mini gazebos and a café… I was surprised at how friendly the butterflies were. There are several zones you walk through with several different species… if you want to see butterflies this is the place to go.
Was fun for kids , they enjoyed playing with butterflies Face painting for the girls was soo cute,, It was a great adventure
Interesting place, there are butterflies of different species and also a good Corona concept - which unfortunately is poorly implemented/controlled by the staff. In small pavilions within the premises, only 3 people or a family are allowed in, often there were significantly more than 3 people inside, which also did not adhere to the total time allowed.
Several separate area full of beautiful flowers. Also info on the species. Our second visit to the place and shall probably visit again. Almost a magical moment when a butterfly lands on one's hand on sits there. The only negative thing was to see some children hold butterflies touching the wings despite the info signs on the wall (saying not to touch the wings).
Located right next to existing Dubai Miracle Garden, Dubai Butterfly Garden has ten custom built domes around 6,673 sq.m. Each dome is filled with thousands of beautifully winged creatures, featuring butterflies of around over 50 varieties of butterfly in different sizes and colors flying around the visitors. Dubai Butterfly Garden gives you the opportunity to see how butterflies evolve through each stage.
It was unforgeable experience with real butterflies. Altough i was wondering that how these butterflies lives in such environment. Its amazing.
This was super interesting and nice. It felt a little weird when the butterflies touch you but it’s super cool. Four zones, spent almost 2 hours there. They have a lot to see and a lot of information to share. Honestly an awesome place for friends and families.
A paradise for nature lovers, this covered garden is home to more than 15000 butterflies. And they are free to roam about the place and interact with humans. It is a wonderful feeling to walk among flying butterflies and have them come and sit on your hands or fingers or to just sit and relax and watch them go about their routine. The butterflies are of various sizes and multiple exotic colors. A must visit if you are interested in nature getaways. I do recommend to visit the nearby miracle garden first and then the butterfly garden to sit back relax and enjoy the place once you are done roaming about the miracle garden.
This garden is located beside Miracle Garden. We bought tickets online. You get inside and you will find many types of butterflies flying around and you can hold them and such.. For me it wasn't my cup of tea, as I didn't like the idea of butterflies flying all around me freely and standing on me.. my friends liked it though.
We have been to many butterfly gardens before. This is more or less the same. However kids enjoy it every time. If you are with children, I suggest you to go there eith them.
Great idea, and was expecting higher seems. However, ticket pricing is exaggerated. Facilities are old. Although butterflies are quantitatively high, but lacking variety. Needs improvement.
Nice experience with butterflies. They will sit on on your hands and will move here and there very near to you. I love to feel it.
Beautiful plant life but it is really not very big and it should not be too hot either! There is shade but a lot of sun. Very playful with figures and flowers
