Dubai Private Layover Tour - 6 Hours (Small Group - Day & Night)

This experience with Sandy and Gomez was exceptional from beginning to end. Communication viia WhatsApp was excellent. (If he is meeting you at airport, take the QR code he sends you inside the Greet & Go. They will scan it, contact Sandy, and escort you out to where Sandy and his driver are parked and waiting.) By the way, if you are shopping around for a tour guide, I highly recommend choosing one that has a driver so you can make stops with the guide while the driver waits nearby with the A/C running! Also, parking can be impossible sometimes…especially in Old Town. We walked away feeling like we got a taste of exactly what Dubai is like: the palace, mosques, beach, The Palm, malls, the Burj Khalifa, dates/chocolate shop, gold souk, spices souk, fabrics souk, water taxi, and we bought him lunch at a lovely and authentic restaurant. We talked about government, taxes, royal families, UAE government structure, schools, expats, and more. Just can’t recommend Sandy more!

A perfect tour! Gomez and Sandy sent us prompt information at all times, and set us up with a precise booking in a matter of minutes. From that moment to the moment we met Sandy at the airport in Dubai we felt fully supported and informed. A flawless pre-tour process. Sandy immediately squeezed in a coffee stop for us when he realized how tired some of the 15 people in our group were. All the while he made sure that we see all the highlights at the perfect time - e.g. the Museum of The Future when it was still wonderfully lit up. No corners were ever cut - we saw all the highlights, and then some. Sandy provided interesting, fun, insighftul, and relevant commentary throughout. He answered all our questions wonderfully, and encouraged us to keep being curious and ask whatever comes to mind. Another big big highlight was the visit to the old town, with a splendid short boat ride included! We were so happy to experience the contrast between old and new Dubai. This is the type of short tour that motivates one to come back and dive in even deeper as soon as possible. I cannot recommend it enough.

We booked a tour with Sandy, accompanied by a driver. We had all day to experience "the best of Dubai" prior to our late-night flight. Sandy was excellent. He met us exactly on time as planned at the Dubai airport and was in touch with us vis WhatsApp. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and responsive to our preference for how we wanted to see Dubai and in finding a restaurant for lunch which we very much appreciated (our lunch was excellent). We hit the highlights of Dubai and were totally thrilled with Sandy. We feel that we left with a very good introduction of and appreciation for Dubai, its people, economy and culture/society. I’m writing this review in behalf of my parents. I booked this layover tour for them as they had about 8 hours of layover in Dubai Airport. They really enjoyed the tour of Dubai even though they only had a short time. They were able to see the historical and the must see places around the city. Sandy was their guide and they only have good words about him. He was very nice and lovely to be with which made their tour more enjoyable! Sandy even updated me when my parents were already with him and when they were dropped back to the airport again. I knew my parents were in safe hands during the tour. He also took great photos of my parents! They are planning to go back to Dubai for a longer period next time as they had such good experience with this tour!

I had a long overnight layover in Dubai on my way to Tanzania and decided to book a tour to see Dubai’s sights. Sandy and Gomez had excellent communication before, during and after the tour. The van was air conditioned with water, and it was great to stretch my legs after such a long flight. I was able to see SO much of Dubai in an efficient amount of time. Sandy and Gomez shared a lot of Dubai’s history, pointing out things and tidbits I never would have know otherwise. They took excellent photos of me, too! Essential as a solo traveler. They dropped me off at my hotel after the tour. I highly recommend Sandy and Gomez for any Dubai tour needs - if I ever cross through again, I will reach out to them!

Having an 8 hour layover with 3 children in the middle of the night in Dubai was made feel seamless and exciting with Sandy and team. They went out of their way to accommodate our time and met us at the terminal with a smile. We saw the town, drank new exciting tea and ate ice cream in between. Being in an air conditioned car we did not melt in the 40 degree heat and cold water was always on hand. Thank you again guys. You truly made the layover one to remember 🙂

We had an incredible experience with Sandy as our guide. Everything was perfect, amazing communication beforehand and such a great night. The whole tour was much more than we were expecting. We felt like we saw so much in such a short period. We didn’t expect to be able to do as much as we did at midnight but we really got to see the best of Dubai. It included snacks and boat trips and stops for photos at lots of places. Amazing. If you have a layover I would definitely recommend a tour with these guys. Soooo fortunate to spend the day with Sandy and his driver touring Dubai. As a solo female traveler on a work trip layover, I wanted to feel safe and see and experience as much as possible in the 100+F degree heat. I am so so lucky that I was able to book with Sandy for back to back sightseeing and food tours. We spent the day visiting all the sights (from the Frame to the Souks to Ski Dubai, a mosque, an abra, and so much more!), and Sandy was able to customize the stops based on what I wanted to see and how much time I wanted to spend. As our first international trip to Dubai, we had the best experience because of our tour guide Sandy. I purchased the layover package for family of 4 to visit favorite destinations. We had a 1-day stopover in Dubai and booked a private tour with Sandy. He picked us up at the hotel and showed us the main highlights of Dubai. Our layover in transit was around 8 hours and they put together a custom tour of the highlights of Dubai that started at 8pm and went through to around 1am. Tons of things to see and we got some great photos. A terrific way to spend a layover with a really professional team. Highly recommended!

I flew into Dubai early in the morning and they fetched me at the airport. Until 16:30 we visited all those important places which are a must to see. They were extremely friendly and knew all the facts about the locations we went to. In the afternoon Sandy handed me over the ticket for Burj Khalifa that he bought as I had wished. I went up to 148th floor, afterwards saw the beautiful water-plays in front of it he had recommended and found easily a taxi to the airport at the nearby point he had told me. It was a perfect day that I will remember. Dubai is not a place where you would be happy finding your way on your own. The heat in July and the distances between the locations made it very enjoyable to get into the AC-cooled car after each visit.

We had a 10 hour overnight layover in Dubai and this tour made it all worthwhile. Sandy kept track of our flight and kept in constant contact - he was waiting to collect us from the airport upon arrival. We were driven around in a lovely clean, air conditioned car and visited every iconic and beautiful spot in the city. We were even treated to a short boat ride and a sample of the local street food. Sandy was so knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel very welcome. At the end of the 4 hour trip we were dropped back to the airport terminal. We would highly recommend this tour, especially if you want to see it all in a short time frame.

I had a wonderful day in Dubai thanks to Jose and Sandy. I saw New Dubai first with all its iconic sites then Old Dubai both of which gave me a deeper understanding of the city as a whole. Jose and Sandy have detailed knowledge of the city, its history and architecture. Sandy our tour guide and Savad our driver were both awesome! Sandy was so informative, friendly and accommodating. We were a group of four and he was on time and made all of the stops as promised. The 6 hour tour was full of sites and great places to visit. No wasted time parking and walking. With Savad dropping us off at the entrances and picking us up again when we were done allowed us to get to all the attractions with little down town. Sandy and Savad also toured us in Abu Dhabi and again an incredible experience! Lastly we last minute had Sandy coordinate hiring a 4 hour private yacht tour around the palms. This tour was a great way to end our time in the beautiful city of Dubai. We never thought this would be affordable for us, but Sandy found us a great deal on a 60ft yacht. Wonderful! I booked with Gomez and Sandy last minute on my layover as I wanted to see some highlights of Dubai. I booked at 4pm and my booking was confirmed within minutes, Sandy organised to pick me up from my hotel at 6pm. I was picked up in a comfortable, air conditioned van. When Sandy and I would get out to walk through an area or look at something, Gomez would be at the other end ready to pick us up and take us to the next place! I was able to see so much in such a short time frame, they really helped me make the most of my time in Dubai. The whole time I was with them I felt safe and comfortable. In the time I was with them I was able to see the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall (including the fountain show), the Frame, old Dubai, new Dubai, camels, the Spice and Gold Souks (we took an Abra across the creek) and so so much more. I ticked off all the items on my list and then some. Sandy is so knowledgeable and was able to tell me everything about each place we visited. We also had some delicious Chicken Shawarma’s. I would definitely recommend booking with Gomez and Sandy if you’re wanting to make the most out of your layover in Dubai!

We booked a tour with Sandy as we wanted to make the most of our experience in Dubai. Sandy showed up early to our hotel lobby, and spent the day with us showing us around the main attractions and the best photo sites. When we told him we were hungry he took us to a great lunch spot, and then we continued our sightseeing tour. Sandy was knowledgeable, patient, and very nice!

I had an extended layover in Dubai, and I had never been there before. Booked a private tour with Sandy. He contacted me the day before to confirm time and pick-up location. The day was tailored to my interests. We visited sites in both the old and new sections of the city, and Sandy was able to provide background and put things in perspective. I had this tour set up and on the day of, my flight was delayed 5 hours. Sandy was fantastic and flexible and even picked me up at the airport instead of my hotel so we wouldn’t lose any more time. Despite my late arrival, Sandy still made sure we saw as many sites as we could and he even took me to get some amazing shawarma and camels milk ice cream! He was very knowledgeable and the tour was seamless. If you have a long layover in Dubai, definitely do this tour! Good narration and coverage. However the tour has long walks which could get tiring specially after a long flight , I wish that could be made better

My family of 4 had a day-long stoppver in Dubai and we did a 6-hour tour with Sandy. He is punctual, very welcoming, friendly, flexible and has great insider knowledge of Dubai. He knows all the great spots for photos with iconic Dubai landmarks and gave us good tips on where to buy the spices we wanted at a local prices. The car we used was spacious and comfortable and the driver was very attentive. Sandy made us want to come back to Dubai again to explore more…we never knew there was so much to see and do! This tour is a fantastic intro to Dubai, especially for first timers. So even if you are staying in Dubai for a few days, take this half-day tour to get an idea of what to see and do. Highly recommended!

Hello. I Did the Dubai late night layover tour in september 22 and it was great. At first i was a little bit concerned, because of the time between flights, it was a layover of 8h, but sandy was very nice, explain me everything and both were open to adjust the programe if it's necessary. The tour was great, the City at night is very beautiful, and sandy was great with the spots to make the Best photos and with all the information he gave us about the City, costumes and People. I recommend!!

We had a layover of 12 hours at Dubai at night and we were finding ways on how to spend the night.We stumbled upon this great tour and it was such a great experience for us.The guides were very knowledgeable and took care of us in all aspects.In a span of 5 hours we got to see so much of Dubai and the experience was truly mesmerizing.If i come to Dubai again I would definitely choose them as my guide again.

They picked us up at the airport exit and took us to the most characteristic places in Dubai with a detailed explanation of each one of them. Then they dropped us back at the airport. He confirmed quickly the same day for a 2:30am overnight layover tour, picked us up promptly from the airport along with a driver and took us on a fun and informative tour of the city. I had a great tour with Jose Gomez. He and his driver picked me up and dropped me off at the airport which made everything super easy. The tour was late at night but he was willing to guide at any hour. You can choose how many hours to spend and that flexibility was nice so you can adjust it to your layover time. Communication in arranging the tour was great. I hit all the major sights in a short time - it was well planned out. I was a solo female traveller and I felt completely safe the whole time. He took great photos and sent them to me because my camera wasn't capturing pictures very well. He was friendly and knowledgable and I'm very glad I booked this tour! One reminder is to get cash for payment before the tour. I forgot to do this but they were nice enough to find an ATM for me to stop at. Would recommend!

As a city, Dubai is an amazing standout! But if possible, made amazingly better by out guide Jose Gomez!o Jose is overflowing with facts delivered in the most delightful & enthusiast way. With an extremely tight agenda, we made every stop with exacting time while Jose’s driver appeared & disappeared like a timely apparition! Let me be honest, after 33 hours of travel I was ready to simply throw in the towel but Jose’s sure fire delivery of cultural, art, architectural and geographic Super deliver history (peppered with his own personal humor), I was able to literally be inspired & have fun with this fantastic guide despite pretty significant fatigue on my part! Jose was timely, his vehicle spotless but his ability to quickly match our interests with ways & byways, history & humor of Dubai was ALL TOP NOTCH! I just wish we had more time with both the UAE & Jose Gomez!!

We had a 20 hour layover in Dubai, and Gomez did a fantastic job of showing us both the new and old Dubai. He is very knowledgeable about the entire city and Emirates. Best of all he is funny and professional. You cannot go wrong booking with Gomez. We had a private car, water, and he took us to eat some delicious food where only locals would go. My tour started with a pickup from DXB at 1am. Jose and his driver met me at arrivals and took me on a ‘middle of the night’ tour of Dubai. Jose was super knowledgeable and full of energy and information about UAE and Dubai itself. He’s been living here for 12 years. Excellent English and very comfortable ride. We stopped at all the top spots and got some great photos plus I learned so much about the city. Highly recommended. I was dropped off at the airport at around 5am so I could catch my connecting flight.

When you ask a tour guide if he is flexible in his itinerary and. he says absolutely, and he actually listens to your requests, you know he is a great tour guide! Licensed, professional, happy and kind, he was perfect for our 2 days in Dubai.

We booked a one day Dubai tour with Gomez. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made.
