Dubai Desert Safari - Sandboarding, Quad Bike & Bbq Options

It was a good experience, our guide Ayub was excellent. He was kind and polite. He also warned us of potential “scams” at each location.

Had a really great time on the Old Dubai walking tour. It was a nice way to see a different side of the city and learn a bit about its history. Seef was an awesome guide—super friendly, easy to talk to, and shared a lot of interesting insights without making it feel like a lecture. Definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Dubai!

The tour was amazing. Our guide Ayub was very kind, punctual and knowledgeable. We fit in lots of fun activities into the afternoon and it all ran very smoothly. Couldn’t recommend more!

There were some positives - the ATv, Dune Buggy ride, and the fire show entertainer, but also negatives: the driver seemed disinterested in making conversation (and in his job in general), the camel ride was more like a camel photo op, and the sand boarding was extremely disappointing… in fact - we had to ask about it to even get the opportunity to try it - they seemed to rush us through everything. They also tried to change our booking to group on a different day to accommodate them not us. It was just an ok experience

Ali is the best guide we could ever have! Professional driver, good humor, knows all the good spots for sandboarding. We enjoyed this wonderful experience so much! Will definitely go with him again our next time in Dubai. The desert is something outstanding in its beauty, highly recommend!

Our Dubai Desert Safari experience was both unique and memorable. We had an amazing time driving across the sand dunes and enjoyed the thrill of sandboarding in the desert. The evening was topped off with a wonderful BBQ dinner and entertaining live performances, which created a fantastic atmosphere. Everything was well organized. We had fun and highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Dubai.

Too long. Didn’t have to be 7 hr trip. Too many dull moments between activities and more than 2hr 30 min will be spend on road. First from hotel pickup - dune bashing. 45-50 min. Then from dune bashing to camp location - 50 min - 1hr. Then back to hotel another 50 min. This wasn’t listed in details so it was misleading and I deducted 2 points for this. For people who are not interested in quad biking the first stop should be avoided by tour operator. That stop should only be if someone wants to use bathrooms, This should be max 5 hr trip. Can camp not be done in Lahbab dessert where dune bashing was done?

Paid for shared pick up at hotel but received a cancellation call at last minute to offer a personal driver. Had to pay them an additional 500 AED. Food & entertainment was okay……..I would prefer another vendor. Staff was nice.

We’re a family of four, visiting Dubai for the first time. This trip exceeded our expectations. Everyone had an amazing time, thanks to our tour guide Anthony. A must do during your visit to Dubai.

Great time. Nice comfy car, lots of space. Explained well, lovely guide Anthony Erosh. Enough time in each activity and didn’t feel like we were hanging around. We went 9.30am which was a good time for this, not too busy.

The experience was great. Our driver Saleem Malik makes that experience amazing. He explained to us everything very well, he was always around us to make sure everything is okay. You need more people in your team like him.

We booked a short trip. We've done a quad bikes which was amazing and then really cool sand bashing and nice photo stop. But despite all we didn't have a camel ride and any sand boarding. Which our co-travellers asked the drivers about camel ride he said that it's not included in short ride. But the description says it should be included

Excellent would highly recommend. Sham our driver was excellent. Great vehicle pick up and he made sure we were ok at all times. We paid for the quad bike before we left which was fab. We had a taster sandboarding session and there were camels of your mates to go in them which was for a minute or so but that was what I was expecting and more than adequate. Quite. A long drive to the food and entertainment due to traffic but that’s juts Dubai and the vehicle was roomy and air conditioned so was fine. The food was great it was a serve yourself buffet type with salads past and hot food, very impressed with the food as I have done a few tours like this and they are juts “token” food but this was a full on meal and up for seconds if you had room. Definitely reclaimed this tour. Felt safe at all times and fully updated with what was next on the agenda.

Sham (the guide) was amazing. So accommodating, friendly, reassuring…and fun! Would definitely recommend. The camels in the desert resort shouldn’t be there - animals shouldn’t be possessions. Also, they looked miserable. But Sham happily let us skip camel riding. His driving in the dune bashing was skillful and exhilarating.

Highly Recommended Safari Adventure! Our safari adventure driver and tour guide, Khalid from City One Travel and Tours, was efficient, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. From the start, safety was clearly a top priority, which made the entire experience comfortable and stress-free. He constantly made sure we were having fun while also explaining everything clearly and professionally. He also took lovely photos of us which made it even more memorable! A thoughtful highlight was that he bought water to make sure we stayed hydrated in the desert, which truly showed his care and hospitality. Overall, it was an amazing experience with excellent service. Highly recommended!

Had a great time in the desert. We loved our tour guide Bishi!! He made our day go so smoothly and enhanced our experience to have great memories here at Dubai Desert Safari. He droves us safely through the desert, took great photos of us on our day, and accommodated us well throughout the entire day. He was timely and great with getting us where we had to be early enough to avoid chaotic crowds. We rode atvs, camels, and had a great time at the camp immersing ourselves in the Dubai culture: eating food, getting henna done, and watching the shows!!!

Ayub was our guide during the tour. His professionalism and friendly attitude made all of us feel safe, welcome, and comfortable. He managed the desert drive with great skill, ensuring both excitement and safety at all times. He showed great patience and courtesy, answering all questions with enthusiasm and respect. Due to rains , the sand was not soft and hence there was no sand dunes though the ride was adventurous due to topsy turvy route. Go for red sand dunes which is near lehbab. Also we did ATV RIDE which was excellent but negotiate the price with your tour operator. After safari , we went for Desert camp , which was entertaining and included in the safari package. But inside camp , shisha is chargeable and they charge aed 50 per person for VIP sitting. The difference is premium sitting and food is served starting 5 pm whereas in general entry food is served after 7 pm only and the spread is also less. Always check with tour operator if there is sand dunes which may be affected due to rain.

Great experience. Food quality could have been little better. Children’s loved the desert ride. It was adventurous and refreshing.

We had an amazing day. ATV-riding was really fun for the entire family, but the most amazing time was when we went dune bashing with our fantastic guide Bishi! He was an amazing dune-driver, and made sure we had the appropriate mix of thriller and joy! We fullt recommend this experience!

Awais was the driver and the guide on our Red Dunes Dubai desert morning safari, and he was absolutely outstanding. His communication was excellent, he truly cared about his passengers, and his professionalism showed in every detail. The driving experience on the dunes was impressive, smooth, and safe, all in a very comfortable SUV. Highly recommended. Just amazing.

We had a fantastic desert safari and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Bishi was a really nice guy fun, friendly, and very informative throughout the trip. We only realised on the way that we hadn’t booked the quad bikes, but he went out of his way to take us anyway, which made the experience even better. We had a great time from start to finish and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a memorable desert safari.

When you get in the venues and a guy tells you you have to buy a dust desert scarf, cause it is madatory, and asks for 80 AED, say no. It would have been nice if our guide would have warned us, we can, but we don't have to buy that. The tour itself was great and our guide Rasheed is a very good driver.

His friendly and warm personality makes every interaction pleasant and comforting. My child felt very safe and happy around him, which means a lot to me. It is rare to meet someone who naturally creates such a positive and welcoming atmosphere. He was truly exceptional—friendly, patient, and always there to help us at every stop. From guiding us safely through the dunes to helping us get the best photos, he made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. I went to half day trip in the evening. Awais was our guide and he is very patient and helpful. He take great pictures and will not force you to do things you don't like.

I’ve done 6 desert safaris, and yes ‘this is cheaper but if I’m honest it was average. Food was poor, wasn’t as organised, overselling at every shop. It has potential but having done 6 there are much better ones.

Woow absolutely amazing would definitely recommend and the tour guide bishi is not only the best tour guide but one of the best and kindest people I have met through my trip to dubai. I came with my elderly mum and honestly he treated her like he would his own mum, he was always making sure she was okay and constantly asking her if the speed that he was driving at was fine. Everyone loved it. They also had camel rides buggys and quad bikes, camels were included but the buggys and quads were extra but still definitely worth it

I have been to Desert Safaris before, and they did proper justice of the experience. It's more value for the money than compared to other offers. Food was tasty and plenty, no need to rush yourself. Drinks are in abundance. And the show is extra ordinary. Two to four performers per show, with 5 shows.. the fire dance has 6 tricks definitely a showstopper. And the ride hope was smooth a relaxing. Our guide was Shahid Khan and he was excellent, made it so much fun, with Arabian music playing while sand blasting in the safari. He volunteered to take innumerable photos for our memories and I would give him a 5 star rating for this experience. Please check him out and you will definitely enjoy.

Good part of the package bought for our family of five was its pick up from our hotel sharp at 3 PM and after a drive of over one hour, reached huge desert with lots of vehicles moving around. Drive in the big heaps and lows was funny and enjoyable but needs securing the seat position with good belts. After an hour and half we sat on a big sand dune with an immediate slope suitable for sand boarding. Quad bikes and camel ride are also part of the package and all took another 2 hours time. Back to our hotel at around 830 PM after a wonderful experience.

From the pickup, the tour, the places, the staff and the experience, everything was perfect. I would like to mention that our guide and driver for this tour (Awais) was very friendly especially when my wife had stomach issue, he really dealt with the situation professionally and compassionatelly by changing the route to get her to the pharmacy. Great tour and I highly recommend it especially with the Quad bike.

Muhram Ali is a fantastic guide and (a big plus) a brilliant photographer! He made the whole experience so much fun. A definite must-do in Dubai!
