Itinerary
Day 1
1
Sample historic sites and the vibrant cosmopolitan life of Dubai on this tour starting in the popular Jumeirah district. Make a stop at the traditionally recreated Madinat Souk for stunning photos of the iconic Burj Al Arab Hotel then drive onto the man-made Palm Jumeirah island, an incredible architectural marvel for a closer look at another icon, the Atlantis Resort. Continue along Jumeirah Beach, the picturesque palace and residential area of Dubai to a photo-stop at the famed Jumeirah Mosque. Next, head to Al Bastakiya, the old part of Dubai. Pass the Al Fahidi Fort, the ruling family’s former residence and take an Abra (water taxi) to sail across Dubai Creek. Disembark at the Spice Souk where the fragrances of the orient come together then there is time to shop in one of the most visited sites of Dubai – the Gold Souk. Finally, your journey ends in the new heart of Downtown Dubai where you will see the magnificent Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
Day 2
2
Leave your central Dubai hotel in the afternoon by comfortable 4x4 and relax as you cruise into the surrounding desert. Observe a thrilling Falcon show to learn about the hunting skills of UAE’s national bird. On route, visit a camel farm. View these hardy herbivores in their natural environment, and learn why they make perfect desert transport. Then, if you wish, take a short camel ride around the enclosures. Continue to an area of high dunes and try some sandboarding — the hottest of desert sports. Get instructions from your guide, grab a provided sandboard, and feel your adrenaline race as you slide down the dunes and race your fellow travelers on the sandy slopes. With your sandboarding over, drive to a desert campsite for dinner. Sit down to a scrumptious barbecue meal as the sun sets and afterward, enjoy the traditional Emirati activities on offer. Watch a swirling tanoura folk dance and choose to get a henna tattoo and smoke a shisha (Arabian water pipe). Lastly, sit around the campfire and watch a colorful belly dancing show before your drive back to your Dubai hotel.

We had the most amazing time! Our tour guides Nimesh & Chamil were incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
The tour was great. Naser bhaijan, guided us properly. It was full of excitement and fun. Too many activities were there. We are very much satisfied with this tour.
We had to best of the best Tour Guide (Mehul) and Tour Bus Driver (Bahzor) for eight whole days. When I say they took great care of us, I can't even begin to give them all of the praise they deserve. Mehul knows Dubai. He gave us so much information about Dubai and Abu Dhabi. His knowledge is phenomenal and he has a great sense of humor. He was our Silver Fox. Bahzor got us to all of destinations safe and on time and always had a smile. He really knows how to maneuver that big bus. Awesome!
The city tour was very informative and included entrance into the Dubai museum which was great because I would not have gone on my own necessarily. The Dubai Creek crossing was great. I really enjoyed our tour guide for this portion. The next day our tour guide was Nowfar T.K and he was an excellent driver and accommodating tour provider. The tour itself was great from the pick-up at our hotel in the Palm Island to the desert sand dunes. There were plenty of photo ops in the desert and an opportunity to purchase time (only 15m-20m) on the 4x4 if you chose. The falcon show was short and sweet but very entertaining and educational. I do wish the camel ride was longer than just a walk a circle but I guess it made for a decent photo op. The food was tasty and the entertainment was plentiful. Based off of this experience I would definitely book my excursions in Dubai with Orient Tours on my next visit.

Excellent tour. They also accomodated us during Ramadon, as many places had different hours of operation. The Desert Safari is a must. We had the greatest time. So much fun and great memories. The buffet was very good, as was the snack. We were fortunate to have Bobby as our driver. He was very experienced and knowledgable. He even came by our hotel the next day to return my husbands glasses he left in the car. Thank you so much.

Prior to leaving Australia, I have been trying to contact Orient Tours to clarify some issues via international calls and WhatsApp without success. They simply not did not respond to my messages or did not reply to my queries when they did read my messages; or cut my line when I tried to call. Also they changed the pick up time of the Dessert Safari tour without informing us. When I called them in the morning to confirm the pick up time, their staff told me it was at 2.30pm but when they did not show up, I called their office again at 2.45pm and was told that the time was 3.15pm. They also said that that was the time, they have never changed it. However, when the driver showed me their order, the time was clearly marked being changed from 2.30p to 3.15p. I don't mind they had to delay due to various reasons, but they must inform the customers or at least admit that they have made a mistake when they failed to do that. Very disappointing customer services but the tours were good and of good value.

A great way to experience UAE and Dubai on a short visit.

We had a chance to embark on a journey with Mr Mehul, our tour guide. He was well-equipped with his knowledge, not only about Dubai, but also in other emirates like Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. He shared with us his insightful information in "less boring" talks and tries to cater to our age group's interests. Culture, landmarks, popular places, you name it, he knows it all. Mr Mehul was not only just a tour guide to us, but he became like a family to our study tour group. Thank you so much Mr Mehul & Orient Tours for this wonderful experience in Dubai.
Our 4x4 desert safari was very good....enjoyed it & worth every penny. Our Guide Mustafa was very amiable & drove very well so we felt safe & still had some thrills. The experience was very well organised....the visit to where the bedouins keep their camels, the falconry show which was interesting/insightful, the meal provided along with the entertainment made it a well rounded tour. Loved the performance by the fire eater & the men in their skirts spinning & twirling...dazzling. The City Tour did not do it for me or my husband. It took an hour by the time we picked up the rest of the group from their various hotels & the stops at the Burj Khalid, Mosque & Souks did not leave an impression on me....felt more like a wasted few hours. The souk especially was tiresome....the traders were very in your face, trying extremely hard to coax you into their shop, then there was the never ending suggestion to come & check out the fake stuff they have. Could not wait to get outa there but, as we had an hour to kill we had to endure. The variety of spices & the way they are displayed is good.

This was really enjoyable part of my trip. The tour operator was very good. We were picked from hotel in comfortable vehicle. Our driver Abdul Kader was very good. He drove safely. The sand dune bashing was best enjoyable part. Abdul was very skilled in dune bashing. Entertainment was good too.

It's an amazing trip, such a fun day! Highly recommended.

The 2 days tour are great.

It is well organised,on-time, professional guide and is recommended for 1 timer visit.

City tour - Excellent tour, the tour guide was funny, informative and a good person overall. The tour was not crowded and on time.

Would recommend this tour to everyone.

Desert safari - on time pickup, cars were in good condition, the desert camp was not crowded, the eagle show was nice, food decent, and activities well done.

I had taken Royal Arabian Tours earlier and this was tons better than that one.

5 stars :

The desert safari was amazing but very cold in Feb so dress warm! The city tour was ok bc it was on a large tour bus but it great to see the spice and gold markets.

Desert safari is a bit contrived, but still lots of fun. Getting a chance to ride a camel, sand surfing and dune busting meke this a pretty unforgettable day. Range of food choices at desert BBQ could be improved.

The tour was amazing, the guide person was excellent and very professional. The ride on the sand was thrilling, the barbeque dinner was super and the dancing acts was exciting. Thanks for a good organization and wonderfully time spend during the tour

best day ever. dune crashing, camel rides, sand boarding, henna, dinner all included. couldn't believe everything was included for the price. tip: definitely sit in the front seat for dune bashing.
city tour was fun too. wish we had more time in the markets but nice to get a taste of everything in a few hours.

A 2-day trip combining city sightseeing and dunes safari was a wonderful experience. This combined trip allows you plenty of time for yourself and also covers most important tourist spots.

A very good day out. Be careful though when you cross the river to see the Souq markets - the market owners try to do to anything to get you into their shops. The safari was great and a lot of fun.

very well organised super efficient grate guides! the all family really enjoyed the city tour and the desert 4x4 Safari with the evening meal and show would do it again and would use Viator again for sure

Both tours were fantastic / thank you Ali our driver for the great desert trip and exploring the sand dunes / two must do tours in Dubai

Went back in September and it was a trip highlight. The sand dunes are not for the faint of heart and I probably would have chickened out if I'd known how intense it is but it's now a top travel memory. This is a real bargain activity that I'd repeat.

I had a memorial experience in Desert Safari. I highly recommend the tour to Desert Safari.

great experience, a must do when in dubai. Orient tours are very professional and we had a great day.

The city tour was very interesting particularly the Bedouin museum, spice market was full of the wonderful aroma of the different spices. The desert safari and 4 wheel drive experience was truly incredible. Such skilled drivers, it was very exciting.

My husband and I were both happy to have taken this tour because we were able to get a glimpse of the must-see places in Dubai City and of course one cannot leave Dubai without having to experience the Dessert Safari Tour! and it was really a fun experience for both of us. I highly recommend this tour for people visiting Dubai for the first time . We enjoyed everything about this tour!

The safari is good value, deserving a 5 but not the city sightseeing, maybe there's really not much to see in Dubai! We were glad to have taken the combo and not 2 separate tours which cost more. Dubai was a stop over for us, we would not take a tour specifically to Dubai.

Had a taste of the highlights of the desert. Great guide and everything went well. Some people wanted a long ride on the camel, but really, why? I thought it was just fine, but if you want a long camel ride, do another tour. This gives you a quick sample of sand boarding, camel ride, with great dinner and show and good time riding the SUV's through the sand dunes.

The city tour was wonderful. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and able to speak to people in their language. He gave background info and general info as well as made it possible for a Mall of Dubai drop off at the end of the tour to see the fountain show. In the Spice Souk he took the time to take us to a store and explain what many of the spices were and did medicinally. We got to try the various dates and nuts. It was obvious there was a deal made between the store and tour company to bring the tourists there so that we would purchase from him but he gave good prices so it was ok. Just watch the attempts at swindling with the bad math.
To improve: more time in the spice souk needed. Less time in the gold souk needed to much harrassing
Desert Safari: a nice evening where Orient Tours gives personal attention where you are driven directly to the camp site unlike other tours where you are brought to the desert to have to switch cars with the 100s of others waiting by the side of the road. The dune bashing is 40 min. If you get car sick, I suggest you skip this and go straight to the camp site tell your driver. The 3 min drive to the site was enough dune bashing for me. The henna, shisha and falcon made for quick activities. The camel ride is in a brief circle for 2 min or so. Great sunset picture opportunities. The sand boarding was lame. Not at all like on snow. Very jarring many stop/starts. Not a smooth ride. But try it. The dinner was plentiful with choices of meats and sides with free pop and tea and sweets for dessert. Pick up by the driver was prompt and the ride back to the hotel was easy. A great price and value for the personalized experience.

The city tour was more of a designated shopping trip with the occasional photo shot.
The safari was fine although the desert drive was very tame. The camp was good with plenty of activities. Food was good and plentyful.

The city tour was excellent. Saw interesting places and Ruben was very knowledgeable, patient, and we'll organized. The desert safari was in a class all by itself. We are experienced world travelers and we found this event to be absolutely fantastic. Yarif was superb as a guide and desert convoy driver. The up and down ride across the sand dunes was thrilling, the photo views of the landscapes and of us with camels and falcons exquisite, the shows at the desert camp entertaining, the camel rides weird in a good way and the evening meal in the open tents fantastic. For those interested there was also sand surfing, henna painting, and other things. We have lived in the Middle East and expected the day to be a little tame for us. IT WAS NOT!!

Racing around the sand dunes was amazing and scary at times. It was reassuring to have internal crash bars in the vehicles as we felt we were going to need them at times. Our driver new exactly how far he could go to make us scream but still keep safe. It was the family in the vehicle with me that were screaming - it wouldn't have been me!!
The BBQ in the desert was adequate and the entertainment with belly dancing and a whirling dervish was great.
It was the first time I have ridden a camel and yes it is as hard as it looks to stay on when the camel stands up and again when it sits down.

I thought the safari was very interesting and exciting for someone who has not seen the dessert before. It was perfect for us. The guides were all friendly and helpful and they helped take pictures too. Enjoyed the night show too. The entertainment and food were both very good. We enjoyed the city tour the next day. It gave us a feel on what we would like to see on our own time later.

This tour had it all. The thril, the entertainment and the food. We had a great time from having a blast with the dunes thrill ride, riding the camel, getting tattooed and eating great foods. Our driver was nice and very skilled. This tour is a must for all first timers to Dubai. City tour was informative and interesting. We enjoy the entire tour.

Absolute must for your visit to Dubai!!! I went with my mother and from beginning to end we had a blast! The desert safari was so thrilling! Our tour guides picked us up on time from our hotel and later transferred to SUVs that took us into the desert. This was one of the highlights as we sandsurfed the hills of the desert, dipping and weaving in between the other SUVs felt like an adventure movie! After, we driven to the campsite, where we rode camels and ate amazing traditional food very tasty! while watching the sun set! There was also a performance, henna tattoos, and hookah! It was an absolutely amazing! Must do!

The Desert Safari was outstandingly good 5 star and I thoroughly recommend it. The city tour - very poor indeed. Monotone delivery from the guide and poor quality sights. We must have been driven in the oldest coach in Dubai. The souks are entirely charmless rows of shops, the Jumeirah mosque wholly unimpressive and the rest not worth even mentioning.
I recommend booking the safari separately take the cheapest deal you can get as there were around 20 vehicles from multiple tour operators delivering exactly the same experience

The Desert Safari was awesome5 stars for desert safari but the city tour was average. For the city tour we had a very knowledgeable guide but the bus took almost 2 hours to pick everyone up and we were left with limited time to see the attractions the rest of the day. Other than that it was still a good experience . I would give 4 or 5 stars if the city tour was better organized by the tour operator.

So much value for money, we were literally waiting for something to catch us out but there never was. We had a guide called Martin taking us on a tour of the souks etc and he was full of so much information. We had a driver called Nofa called himself 'no fun' but far from it for the sand dunes who was very kind. He managed to get me out of the ride on the sand dunes, as this wasn't something I wanted to do, but the rest of my family had a fab time and got the best pictures. This honestly is such a once in a lifetime opportunity and was by far the best part of our holiday. My daughter has done a blog post on our trip which goes into further details so be sure to check it out and she's also created a short video.
Enjoy your adventure :

Very good value for money compared to the cost of buying the tours separately plus the tours were in a special offer when I bought them. Very impressed with the tours and we thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Recommended.

Very well arranged. Very skilled and polite drivers. All the events were entertaining and a food was good.

Great tour! Desert Safari was fun, but dinner wasn't that great. I also enjoyed the souks and the dubai museum during the city tour.

The desert experience was terrific and most memorable!

We went to Dubai for 4 days, so it was a quick trip. We were so glad that we chose this tour. The City Sightseeing gave us a good overview of the city, covering both old and new. We really enjoyed the spice market and gold market at the Souks. The Desert Safari was a blast. It was action packed with a drive through the Desert Dunes, camel ride, and topped off with a show and lavish meal.

Picked up from our hotel in a four wheel drive and driven out to the desert where we met up with 15 other vehicles, they took us over the sand dunes to a desert camp. You could go on camel rides, sand boarding, get a hemma, hold a falcon. A bbq dinner was included which was delicious. There was a fire dance, traditional dance and ending with belly dancing! A fun night not to be missed.

Just so so, food was not great and show had some good parts fire part.

The safari part of the tour was awesome, we had a great time and the staff was very nice and friendly. The city sightseeing was mediocre, un organized and lacked lots of information.

Really enjoyed the desert safari tour - amazing experience! Would recommend to all.
City sightseeing tour could have been better - would suggest changing some of the destinations

Really enjoyed the safari tour. A must do. A bit disappointed with city tour. It is advertised as a 4 1/2 hour tour but this includes pick up. Tour was only 3 hours and didn't cover as much as I would have hoped. Disappointed.

Great tour. The Desert Safari was terrific even though I had hoped for a longer ride on the camel - get on the camel, go around in a circle and then get off the camel. The 4WD made up for it, but the camel ride is what I was looking forward to most.

The city tour was also great however there was a lot of waiting around before the tour commenced and the driver was not forthcoming in ANY detail as to why we were waiting.

Overall, the tour is worth it especially the 4WD over the sand dunes.
