Dubai Afternoon Desert Safari And Bbq Dinner

Booked online for pick up at hotel (which was listed in a drop down on the website). Operator called the next day stating they wouldn’t pick us up unless we paid another $150USD. or travel to a location 40mins from our hotel. Disgraceful. And trying to get a refund…near on impossible by the looks.

I'm sure it would have been great if only the pickup had proceeded - instead we spent 2 hours sitting in the lobby of our hotel which was a large chunk out of the short time we had in Dubai. No contact from them and no reply to the only number listed

Had a fantastic afternoon /evening in the desert. Our tour guide, Hamib and his faithful chariot “Maria” took us on an adventure which included camel greetings, dune driving and camel riding. As the sun set, he took some innovative, posed romantic photos before leading into the banquet site in the desert camp. What followed included a banquet, modern Arabian dancing, and fire show before wrapping up with belly dancing. Maria then took us back to the motel with a photo opportunity at a mosque on the way. A most enjoyable time due to Hanin’s local knowledge, commentary and enthusiasm.

It was a pleasant and swift experience with Desert Gate from the moment of pickup till the drop later in evening after dinner. Setup was so good with near stage & limited seating arrangement [no overcrowd and mess], Sheesha at the side, Arabic apparels for pictures, Falcon show, Camel Show, Sand Board, Belly Dance, Tanoura Dance etc... Would like to appreciate and mention the Help, Guidance with Politeness provided by Mr. Nisar, he was so confident and fun filled during the trip and activities + timely informing and explaining the stuff around so that we should not miss any. He was cautious and concerned enough for the children in safari car during the dune bashing. Though we were the last leaving the camp after spending considerable time for sand board, he stood with us and helped us with his gesture of support and push for "collect experience and memories"... Staff at stalls, camel guy all were welcoming. Definitely recommend it for better dessert Safari experience.

We were lucky to have Nasir as our driver and guide, he was incredibly experienced, guided us so well and even surprised us with complimentary drinks and family photos! Show was amazing with less crowd. Thoroughly enjoyed our day.

This was an excellent tour. We were picked up from our hotel where the driver was waiting. Ayaz our driver was so wonderful even accommodated an extra pick up on route. We chose to do a private car which was lovely as a family of 4. Ayaz was a safe confident driver so friendly and full of local knowledge which was so interesting on our drive out of the city into the desert. Dune bashing was fantastic followed by a 20 minute drive back to another location for a falcon show super interesting, camel ride lovely dinner and entertainment. Well organised smooth operation. Can’t rate Ayaz enough as a guide made all the difference

This desert safari trip has been the highlight of our holiday here in Dubai! The tour was very well organised and our host Bilal was very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He is such an excellent host!!! We loved the dune bashing and quad biking!! We would highly recommend booking this tour if you want to see the authentic side of the UAE.

The desert safari was an unforgettable experience and definitely a must-do when visiting Dubai. The whole trip was very well organized and gave us the chance to enjoy the beauty of the desert in an exciting way. It was truly one of the best days I spent in Dubai. I cannot fault this tour. It has been one of the most amazing highlights of anything I have ever done. I am a scaredy cat when it comes to adrenalin rush activities but I went out there and did it. We also did an optional ATV ride through the dunes, then onto racing through the dunes sliding here and there in a four wheel drive, acamel ride then to a beautifully set up camp where we had the best bbq and dancing show. Great value for money and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Our driver and guide was fantastic.

I went on a desert safari in Dubai with our driver Abdul Samad, and it was an unforgettable experience! We drove through the stunning dunes – Abdul Samad is truly the best driver in Dubai, I highly recommend him. The ride was thrilling yet safe, and he made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We also rode camels, tried sandboarding, and ended the day with an incredible dinner. If I return to Dubai, I will definitely request Abdul Samad as my driver again!

We had a lot of fun and adrenaline. Everything is well organised and safe. Our host and driver Muzafar make us feel safe, he gave us a lot of interesting information. Muzafar really made this trip special for us. Stuff in village was very entertaining and make us feel welcome.

We had the best time on our Desert Gate Safari in Dubai we highly recommend it! Akbar Ali was our guide and he was fantastic from start to finish. The tour was recommended to us by Atlantis The Palm, and we’re so glad we took their advice. Akbar was incredibly welcoming, professional, and made us feel safe the entire time, all while making sure we had loads of fun. He’s also a great photographer and captured some amazing shots for us throughout the day! The experience itself was unforgettable. We had an exciting 4wd dune adventure, followed by a visit to a beautiful traditional desert camp where we enjoyed a delicious Emirati-style dinner. We watched a falcon show, rode camels, and were entertained by traditional performances including a belly dancer and male Tanoura dancers. Such a magical night and truly one of the highlights of our trip – made even better by having Akbar as our guide!

Booking reference number: 1233018469 We booked the activity for the 22nd of March, pick up agreed at our hotel at 14:30 (included in the available options from the own activity). To our surprise, no one picked us up, we waited more than an hour and then tried calling the numbers provided in the website. We had no response at all, however we got helped by one guy from the hotel with connections in the insustry. About an hour later, we got contacted by the responsibles via WhatsApp to apologise and offer us the tour for another date. We agreed on doing it two days later, however our experience was bad since we did not do many of the activities which are included in the package: these are the sand boarding, belly dance and the camel ride. The last one they let us, out of pity, ride the camel for 1-2 mins before leaving. They made us spend a lot of time in the area where the paid activities happened, but no time at all for the already paid & included ones. On top of that, I asked for a refund and they said we'd be contacted within 7 days. It has been about a month already and the only communication I received was an email to ask why I issued a chargeback. Totally unprofessional and ridiculous. Avoid it if you do not want to be disappointed.

As they're so many tour companies offering this exact excursion & itinerary, I'm not sure if I'm reviewing the one I did the tour with...but it's a must when in Dubai...full of culture and an upclose fun experience of dune bashing in the desert. From Camel rides, holding a falcon, shisha station, henna tattoos, to a delicious BBQ dinner & culture show with a fire performer, it's a value for money experience as it's all inclusive with drinks...no alcohol during Ramadan. I guess it's a matter of choosing the one that's your preference, with pickup service, definitely a must do attraction when in Dubai.

Great experience! Expected from the pick up delay, the tour was very organized. Our driver / tour guide Nishan was great! Very kind, he took pictures and support us during all tour. The desert ride (the highlight) could have been a bit longer, but that didn't compromise the great experience we had today. The village is very cozy with good bathrooms very comfortable place stay and the buffet at leaves nothing to be desired.

Better experience than expected! Our driver, Abdul Samad took us out to the sites smoothly and nice. Then he changed to action mode on the dunes and that ride was better than all roller coasters I have tried.

This was one of the most fun trips we did in Dubai. Our tour guide was very friendly and explained a lot of the country , culture and economy on our way to the sand dunes. Also we are from Canada and seen a Tim hortons on the way. Our guide went out of his way to take us there on the way back to our hotel. Very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend anyone to take this excursion and hopefully you’ll get our tour guide.

We booked with Fun Tours. Absolutely nothing fun! The tour guide named Shahzad was rude, obstinate and unprofessional. Still proceeded with dune dashing after we all told him it felt unsafe! This guy would make you want to curse during Ramadan. Anything that was remotely fun at the meeting point we were told there was an extra charge. Both the show and food at campground were just ok. Camel ride was very very very short.

The tour is wonderful, extreme dunes, camel riding, and dinner in the desert, it was simply amazing. We like very much our guide Ayaz, very attentive and kind.

I booked through my hotel and the transfer arrived promptly to pick me up. I was solo but joined a lovely European couple and the driver Robbie made things comfortable and really gelled us together as a group. We started with the dune bashing which was great until the car got stuck for forty mins, which was a shame as we missed out on certain activities. However this ended up to be a mishap that can occur and a funny story I will tell to my friends and family. We then arrived at the desert camp and had some BBQ which by the time of our arrival was not heated enough. I enjoyed the show sadly did not get to see belly dancing because of Ramadan. It was also my birthday this day and it was memorable taking a picture with the camel and falcon. I do not believe in riding camels, so cannot comment on that activity. The only reason it is four star is because of the car mishap but had such a pleasant evening and met lovely people.
