We had a wonderful and unforgettable desert safari experience with our family and our three children. Everything was very well organised, and we felt safe throughout the entire experience. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful, and we will cherish these memories forever. A special thank you to Mohamed Hassab for recommending this experience to us. We would also like to thank our guide, who accompanied us throughout the entire adventure, making sure we felt safe, comfortable and enjoyed every moment. It was truly a beautiful family experience. Highly recommended!

We’re pretty familiar with Dubai so only did this as Emirates gave us free tickets. If you’re new to Dubai definitely worth doing. There’s two routes, blue and red, going in two different directions with several stops along the way. You get off at any stop and get back on the next bus to continue your journey. Bus comes about every hour. You need more than one day though if you want to do both routes as it will take 4+ hours per route.
The best service! Mohamed Zayed is very kind and professional! Thank you
Bus not regular, narrative not that informative, 1 route 4 stops can do in a day I bought 48 hours only used 1 day! More about he money than the service! Having issued this company in USA, London, Cape Town was very disappointed when asked why no other route not interested!
Most Awful tour ever done we have used these on many places round the world! Dubai one was by far the worst! Only 1 route now 4 stops, the narrative on the bus didn’t really tell us much! Staff not friendly had to ring to someone next bus coming maybe 1 maybe 2 hours! Would NOT recommend at all! Booked for 48 hours only used 24 & that took less than 5 in all! Pick up area hard to find. All in all made Dubai exploring awful! They were about money not the experience! Won’t ever book with them again anywhere!
City Sightseeing Dubai Hop‑On Hop‑Off Bus Tour, it was a fantastic way to explore the city. The tour makes it very easy to visit Dubai’s major attractions while enjoying great views from the open-top bus. I liked the flexibility of hopping on and off at different stops, which allowed me to explore places at my own pace. It’s a convenient and enjoyable way to see Dubai, especially for first-time visitors.
It’s been almost a month since we booked the City Bus Hop-On Hop-Off tour, and it was such a great experience! Everything was smooth and hassle-free, especially with their well-organized schedule. We bookes it when we were in Al Seef. Special shoutout to Mr. Ahmed for clearly explaining what is the inclusive (like red line (old dubai) blue line (modern Dubai) and discount if you are resident in UAE —he was very approachable and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!
I booked a Hop-On Hop-Off + Sunset + Night Tour in Dubai, and the service was completely unreliable and not as advertised. Buses were delayed, schedules were not respected, and the experience was practically unusable. What is even worse is the complete lack of customer support. I contacted GetYourGuide multiple times regarding a refund and received no response at all. This is unacceptable. If something goes wrong, you are left without any help. I do not recommend booking through this platform.
Enjoyable, but had to wait well over an hour for a bus late afternoon at the Dubai Frame. They only had 2 buses on the red route.
From Dubai Mall…. This tour was sold to us on the basis that the ‘red route’, Old Town would take about 90 minutes to an hour and 40 minutes depending on traffic. It cost £104 for two of us. We got on the bus at 3pm on a Thursday. We were looking forward to a good tour, hopping on and off at a couple of places in the Old Town. We had 3 and a half hours to spend here. The traffic was so appalling that we had only reached the first stop after an hour, and by the time we got as far as the Old Town and Dubai Creek it was clear that we would be unable to get off the bus because there was not enough time. Our 90 minutes on a hop on hop off turned into 3 hours and 20 minutes of sitting in traffic and we only just got back to Dubai Mall in time to get our return hotel transfer. It was a miserable experience. Sitting on an open top bus for more than 3 hours breathing traffic fumes. My gripe is not the traffic, it is that the guy who sold us the tour must have known from bus drivers coming in that the 90/110 minutes was a complete lie. What an absolute waste of time and £104.
We used City Sightseeing for two full days in Dubai - the Blue Route on our first day and the Red Route on our second - and had quite contrasting experiences. Day One (Blue Route) - Frustrating Start Our first morning was disappointing. We tried to start at the Grosvenor House Hotel stop but waited 40 minutes with no bus appearing. The mobile app is frankly useless - it showed wildly inaccurate wait times ranging from "no buses available" to 450 minutes, which destroyed any confidence in the information. We eventually gave up and paid for a taxi to Dubai Mall to start from the beginning. The app also fails to show that some buses begin partway around the route in the morning - information that's on the printed map but not in the app. Basic first departure times for each stop would solve this problem easily. Throughout the day on three different Blue Route buses, we had persistent commentary problems: on the first bus only one headphone socket worked where we were seated; on the second the language selector didn't function; on the third there was no commentary whatsoever for the entire journey. This was hugely disappointing as the commentary is one of the main reasons we use City Sightseeing. Dubai traffic is clearly beyond anyone's control, but be prepared - it took nearly two hours to get from the Fairmont Hotel back to Dubai Mall in almost stationary traffic, which was stressful when trying to catch the evening tour. The Good Bits That said, the drivers and staff at all the stops were exemplary - helpful, friendly and professional throughout. The evening tour (which they call the "sunset tour" though we didn't actually see the sunset) was genuinely enjoyable, showing Dubai's landmarks beautifully lit up. Day Two (Red Route) - Excellent All Round Day two was a completely different experience. The Red Route took us to the souks, where we enjoyed exploring the Spice Souk and Gold Souk - both atmospheric and fascinating. The dhow boat trip across Dubai Creek was lovely, giving a real sense of old Dubai's maritime heritage. The Dubai Frame was spectacular - the views from the top are stunning and the exhibitions inside are well done. Everything on this day worked smoothly and we had a brilliant time. Tips for Future Visitors 1. Not sure about the app! - it's not reliable all the time . Instead, get a printed map at your first stop and use that for planning. 2. Start early - the first buses leave around 9-10am depending on the route. Getting out early means fewer crowds and less traffic. 3. Allow generous time - Dubai traffic can be horrendous, particularly around rush hour. If you need to be somewhere for a timed tour, give yourself at least 90 minutes extra. 4. Check your headphones work before the bus sets off - if they don't, move seats or let the driver know immediately. 5. The evening tour departs at 6pm - consider whether starting after the rush hour clears might give you a less stressful journey, though you'll still see everything beautifully illuminated. 6. Do both routes if you can - the Red Route attractions (souks, dhow, Frame) are genuinely excellent and very different from the Blue Route sights. 7. Be prepared for crowds - particularly at Dubai Mall and popular stops in the evening. Overall Verdict Despite the frustrations of day one, we're glad we used City Sightseeing. When it works well - as it did on day two - it's an excellent way to see Dubai's key sights efficiently and at good value. The drivers are professional, the buses are comfortable, and the routes cover the main attractions thoroughly. The technical issues with commentary equipment need addressing urgently, as does the mobile app, but don't let that put you off entirely. Just go in with realistic expectations, particularly about Dubai traffic, and you'll have a good experience. Would we use them again? Yes, but we'd probably focus on the Red Route and the evening tour, which were the highlights.
Super disappointing experience. Firstly the audio guide was not working for anyone. We only did the sunset tour but, aside from the occasional light show, it was a tedious trip in stop-start traffic.
I have done these hop-on hop-off bus tours in countries around the world. They have always been good...until today. The narration of the tour is always through head phones but none of the headphone jacks worked correctly, resulting in broken and glitchy information. We often had no clear idea of where we were. The stops, no matter how many times they were described as ' heritage' or 'historical', looked to be custom built tourist traps. We waited for nearly 50 minutes at one stop. The driver's skills left much to be desired. We couldn't wait to leave at the end.
Awesome, professional, nice and patient staff to deal with that Dubai traffic!! Visited both sides of the city. Blue route, new city Red, old city Both very informative Thank you for the memories!!
Very good experience. Thanks in particular to Ahmed the Egyptian Stuart that guide us from the beginning of the Vacation in Dubai Marina until the end with a lot of suggestions. A very good human being and a very good and smart worker.
We were very disappointed with this Hop on Hop off tour. We asked our hotel concierge where the closest stop was so we could join the bus route. We had purchased advance tickets but had no brochure indicating where the stops were located. After walking nearly 45 minutes in 30°+ temperatures we were still no further ahead. Finally a man at Dubai Marina Mall came out and pointed as to where to catch the bus. THERE are NO Hop On Hop Off signs anywhere along the route. No wonder we couldn’t find the bus stops. This was very frustrating and should be indicated in the brochure. By the time we finally got in a bus, we were tired and very hot. There was bottled water which was a welcome relief. I have taken many Hop on tours in other cities and the stops have always been clearly indicated with signage. Through no fault of the bus company, we found that traffic in Dubai is so congested that we often sat not moving for many minutes at a time in extreme heat. The air conditioned room on the front of the top deck did provide some very welcome relief. Needless to say, we don’t recommend this tour in Dubai.
In Dubai the main attractions are quite far apart, way beyond walkable distance. Since their app shows live bus locations it helps a lot to get around. I found their boat tour and the aquarium tickets to be a great value and free cold water is a nice perk.
the socket where the earphones go to console of the buses were loose the ear pnoe had static and it kept falling out it could have been a better experience
I recently took the Big Bus Tour in Dubai 🚌 and had an amazing experience! The hop-on hop-off service made exploring the city’s iconic landmarks very convenient. Special thanks to our driver, Abdullah, for his friendly and helpful service 😊. Highly recommend Big Bus Tours for a hassle-free way to see Dubai’s top sights! 🌆✨
Amazing tour. All staff was amazing, guys with a big heart and professional too. The best was Mohamed Hassab, a really good bus agent. I wish him and all guys, all the best for the future.
We decided to try the Hop-On Hop-Off bus in Dubai, but getting started was a bit frustrating. Because of all the construction around the pickup areas, it took a long time to figure out exactly where to go the signs weren’t very clear. And having two senior citizens to walk so long was very hard. Once we finally found the right spot, there was another short delay because the onsite attendant couldn’t locate our tickets in their system. It eventually got sorted out, but it definitely took some patience. After that, the ride itself was good! The views were beautiful, and it was nice being able to hop off at major spots like the Dubai Mall, the Frame, and the Museum of the Future. Once you’re on board, it’s a relaxing way to see the city at your own pace. Just a tip arrive early and make sure you know which pickup point to head to ahead of time, especially if there’s construction nearby.
An ideal way of seeing the sights of Dubai especially being able to hop on and off! The staff at various locations were very helpful especially the Sales Agent at the Mall of the Emirates Entrance A was helpful to us in finalising our tickets. Also, it was good to have plenty of water supplied - thank you. Would definitely recommend this company.
It was a magnificent experience. Thank you Mossa for your great advice and excellent service! We will definitely choose you again when we return to Dubai.
The bus picked up from outside our hotel at JBR so we asked for a map and booked 2 days. The first day we stopped at the museum of the future before getting back on and listening to the guide through headphones back to JBR. The second day we stopped at the souks and finished the tour to get back to JBR. You are on the bus a very long time due to the heavy amount of traffic so it does take a long time. We didn’t have time to do more than one stop on both days. It’s meant to run every 40 minutes. We got of me at the souk and was done within 30 minutes so waited to be picked up and the bus didn’t turn up so we were waiting a long time for the next bus which meant we didn’t then have time to do another stop. We didn’t leave the pick up area just incase it was running late but it didn’t turn up until the time the following bus should have been. It was a long wait in 35 degrees heat with hardly any shade. It made me feel quite poorly but I didn’t want to miss it if it was running late. What would also be helpful would be if there could be some announcements on which stops had toilets nearly. One day we were on the bus for almost 4 hours and was desperate for the toilet but didn’t want to get off at a random stop and have to go searching a busy city for toilets for then have to wait a long time for the next bus. I wouldn’t recommend as the buses aren’t every 40 mins and with no WiFi in some areas couldn’t check the app so a lot of waiting around in the heat, Pros were though there was water available on the bus included with your ticket. The second day though when we visited the old town the air conditioning was very poor on the bus and everyone was really struggling. Many of us got off at a different bus stop to the one we were heading for because we couldn’t handle it on the bus much longer. This definitely needs addressing as when you are sold it you are told it’s well air conditioned. We sat downstairs in the closed air area due to needed to be cool. When we sat out on the open top although you get the breeze we got really sore faces and heads due to how hot it was.
Great tour of the city, there are two different bus routes you can take. I did the blue line first which was approximately 2.5 hrs long
It was an ok experience until we had to wait at a stop, and both the bus driver and another employee got insistent that we write a top review. When I just hit five stars to get them off my back, on of them came back and showed me the rating and wanted me to add text. I said no thank you and he kept at it until I got annoyed. They hung over my travel companion and virtually dictated her review demanding she mention them by name. She felt pressured. The whole experience was unpleasant and ruined our impression. I think they must have some kind of reward system for good reviews as this was next level. I also don’t think they would be this forceful with a man. Not good!
The tour and the trip with the ship where we had dinner was super nice, we can only recommend, Mohamed Zayed gave us top advice. Mohamed Zayed 👍👍👍👍
A great way to see the city and select what you want to see and what you want to really explore. Booking easy and friendly staff. One bus ran out of water but other than that was a great way to explore.
Excellent especially if you are limited on time. Perfect for us as we only had 1 day stop over. We were able to see all the attractions and sights in an airconditioned bus
Alaeddine Kharchi help me to everithing, iam very satiface 🥰😍😇 it was a nivel trip thanks . ....Citigroup significa and Aladdine
Great experience fro first time traveling in Dubai! Both red and blue lines are fantastic! The night tour is also amazing 👏 😍 🙌 The team is very friendly and helpful plus free water on the bus. Thanks Ivan ( staff) for helping.
We joined both city sightseeing dubai (hoho bus) and the luxury marina cruise with Mohamad Zayed. He is very friendly and patient with our queries and his follow-up with our tour arrangements was very responsive and speedy. Strongly recommend that you look for him and book your tours with him. You will never regret. Best wishes.
This is not Big Bus. The busses are old and falling apart. I had condensation dripping on me throughout the whole tour. The buses run every 40 minutes, which is too long of a wait to be standing in the scalding sun. The sections of the bus that are air conditioned don't work too well and the audio guide is very vague and not sufficiently detailed to know what you are looking at or where to look. I have used this type of tour before in other countries and I have to say that this is poorly made imitation of what it is supposed to be.
Great experience, and excellent service!! There was cool AC at the top deck, and I was offered a cold water bottle when I arrived. I will certainly use it again in another city!
Walking through Dubai Mall I came across Ahmed Saleh providing tourist packages. He gave me all the package information such as the Dubai safari which was a fantastic experience and the hop on and hop off bus to maximise my time in Dubai. Then he provided me with advice on which stops to stop at with such a short amount of time left in Dubai. All in all making it an enjoyable and worthwhile trip. Highly recommended! -Mahdy
We did 2 day and one evening tour as well as Sahara. The tours were great but the Sahara was highlight. The best part was our tour guide Mohamed Hassab. He guided us through the options, stayed in close contact and gave advise where we needed it. He was also so friendly and funny. We would not have enjoyed our stay without his help!!
This was a great experience with the family! The bus went to all major sights such as the Burj Khalifa and The Atlantis. It was a great way to see the city and experience it all.
Our trip was great, the staff were friendly and we were very happy (Ibrahim was very friendly) I will always repeat it with this company. Thank you very much.
My Mum and I would recommend this tour as a great way to experience Dubai. We booked online (please note the prices are US dollars). We really enjoyed all the routes and have spent a fun day learning about and viewing Dubai from the comfort of an air-conditioned bus. The staff were friendly and made sure we were comfortable while waiting in the extreme heat. The commentary was interesting and informative.
It’s been a great experience all the way from the start. We went for a deseret safari by Mohamed Hassab. It was a great Drive by Umar form the hotel who came before time and was interacting with us along the way. The dune driving was great as well as the dune buggy ride. The royal palace performances were also epic with belly dancing and most especially playing with fire. I have loved it and would give a rating of 5/5.
I didn't know much at the country here, but i meet very helpful guy his name is Eslam Ebrahim he adviced me with so much helpful things related to his work and even personal assistance, very decent guy and i wanted to share my feedback as a thanks to what he did.
I had an incredible experience with Dubai Tourism Transport Company, and I want to give a special shoutout to Eslam Ibrahim . He was not just professional, but also extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Eslam went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly, and his positive attitude made the whole trip even more enjoyable. He was punctual, respectful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. You can tell he genuinely cares about providing excellent service. If you’re ever booking with this company, I highly recommend asking for Eslam Ibrahim — he’s simply one of the best! Thank you, Islam, for making our experience in Dubai unforgettable!
We purchased entry for two to the Burj Khalifa online with City Sightseeing. They emailed the tickets to me. When we went to go to the top of the Burj they informed us at the entry that the QR code given was for only 1 ticket. Since we had paid for two weeks then contacted City Sightseeing, they have been very evasive and keep just saying that they are "investigating". It has been about a month now and still no action. We even went to their local desk at Dubai Mall and the guy there promised us it would be fixed. Very untrustworthy and just interested in stealing from tourists. There are better alternatives with even nicer busses and ethics.
Sit up the front of the bus near the air conditioning vents.. it helps with the heat. Lots of sights to see. Amazing city.. just even for viewing
This review is very very late but deserving. We were Balt to get on and get off the bus as we want to or stay on if we didn’t want to get off. The buses come by very often so you won’t be waiting too long.
Ahmed Salem was great! He gave me so much useful information. The drivers were very friendly and helpful throughout my trip
Ahmed Salem is excellent so buy your tickets from him :) We started with the red tour which was very informative! 2 more tours to go plus the Dhow Cruise so we’re excited 👏👏👏
We used both the red line and the night tour as well as the canal boat tour. The night tour was awesome, seeing all the places of interest lit up at night was great. You cannot get on/off on the night tour. We got on at Dubai Mall but you can get off wherever you like. Earphones allowed commentary in a variety of languages. Upstairs in the open was nice during the night but we preferred inside the aircon during the day. The red line took you to Old Dubai and we only got off at the canal boat ride as we were restricted for time. The canal cruise was nice, you could purchase all you can eat pizza on board as well as cold drinks. You can spend as much or as little time at each stop but it would be difficult to give each place enough time to manage to get through all stops in one day. The bus comes every half hour. Takes 2 hours to do the night tour. Would definitely recommend to get your bearings of where everything is.
Visiting Dubai through this bus was a remarkable experience, the service is top notch, very welcoming, the drivers advise you, and especially Marco who shared with us good tips, the key places in Dubai The prices are affordable, you can visit dubai since the bus makes several stops
Best way to discover Dubai, there was air conditioning inside the bus and we got free water on board. I and my child enjoyed the tour. Highly recommended ❤️👏👏👏
