Anis is an exceptional guide — knowledgeable, informative, kind, and incredibly generous. I was very fortunate for my group tour to turn into a private experience! We explored the Old Houses, Heritage Area, Baba's Cave, Art Hotel and enjoyed a traditional Abra boat ride. The hospitality was amazing, I enjoyed local spices, iced tea, dates, chocolates and local sweets. Highly recommend Anis for an authentic and memorable experience!

We wandered through the beautiful lanes of Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, surrounded by traditional wind towers and old Arabian architecture. Then came the charming abra ride across Dubai Creek — a simple, timeless experience that made us feel, for a moment, as if we had stepped into another era. The colourful Spice Souk filled the air with the aromas of saffron, cardamom and exotic spices, while the Gold Souk dazzled us with its traditional jewellery and unmistakable Dubai sparkle. It was more than just a tour — it was a glimpse into the city’s history, traditions and everyday life before the skyscrapers transformed its skyline. A beautiful reminder that behind modern Dubai lies an old city with a very special soul. ✨

It was fate that brought me to meet Ava and Mr. Anis, my tour guide, at the 5-star Hotel XAV, where I joined the guided walking tour halfway. Mr. Anis was knowledgeable and engaging, guiding us through the vibrant streets of Old Dubai. We explored the historic Al Fahidi district and enjoyed a serene boat ride across Dubai Creek. Although the Dubai Museum was closed for maintenance, the tour was still a wonderful blend of history, culture, and exploration. I look forward to returning for more.

Taha was a very welcoming and knowledgeable tour guide. I learned a lot about Dubai from this tour. It was a great opportunity to see the old town and to find out the history and economy of the area. If I was planning to buy gold or spices it would’ve been particularly worthwhile.

This is the second time I’ve done this tour with guide Anis Laassisse, and both times it was an absolute 10/10. You get to see the very best of Dubai’s Old Town, sample local delicacies (tea, chocolate-covered dates, local donuts…), and learn about the UAE’s beautiful culture. Anis is an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and traditions of the area. His storytelling brought every corner of the Old Town to life. For anyone wondering about the physical demands, the terrain is completely flat and the pace is relaxed, so you won’t find yourself exhausted at the end. It’s enjoyable for all reasonable fitness levels. We had an absolutely marvelous time and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dubai. In fact, I’d happily do it a third time! Great for foodies, those interested in a good bargain, and those curious about the UAE’s rich culture and history.

It’s always a tough decision on whether to take a private tour, self-guided exploration, or a large group tour like this one. For this itinerary, I would say the group tour is ideal. We were able to experience and learn much more about old Dubai with the expert guide, Anis. Having other visitors also made the experience more interesting without slowing us down. We did make a stop at a spice shop but very little pressure to buy anything. Would highly recommend this for anyone and to get to know Dubai.
