Itinerary
Al Jahili Fort has been a cultural the focal point of activities associated with philosophy and heritage of Abu Dhabi in the Garden City. Al Jahili is one of the largest forts in the UAE and was built in the 1890s on orders from Zayed The First as the home to members of the Al Nahyan ruling family.
Qasr al-Ain or "Al Ain Palace", is one of the best-reinstated forts in the Abu Dhabi emirate. The museum showcases the everyday life in a ruler's fort when the late Sheikh Zayed and his family resided in the palace prior to 1966. The Bedouin style architecture dates back to 1937 and was converted into a museum in 1998 as a main cultural and tourist attraction.
The historic oasis sprawls across 3,000-acre and provides a unique insight into the region's inhabitants who began taming the desert 4,000 years ago. The Al Ain Oasis has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011, but only now, with the construction of an educational Eco-Centre and an extensive system of shaded pathways that wind through some 147,000 date. The site houses up to 100 different varieties of vegetation that surround the impressive oasis, with widespread plantations that are also working farms.
Al Ain's famous camel market is a wonderful immersion in traditional Arab culture. From young Arabian camels that might grow up to be racers to impressive adult camels ideal for breeding, the market is a one-of-a-kind experience to get a closer look at the animal that enjoys a special place in the Emirati heritage.
Photo stop: Rising 1,240 metres, Jebel Hafit is the emirate’s highest peak, and UAE’s second. This towering rocky height, which stands guard over Al Ain and borders Oman, is forged out of craggy limestone that has been weathered over millions of years. Significant fossil discoveries have been made in the area, which are vital pieces in the jigsaw of the city’s ancient history.
This green expanse at the foot of Jebel Hafeet is another spectacle that showcases the rich natural reserves of Al Ain. A popular hotspot for picnics and family outings, the Green Mubazzarah is packed with families out to enjoy the sun, adventurers trekking up the mountain and campers who can spend the night in tents at the base.

Me and my family enjoyed the trip very much and our tour guide Nabil Zaky was extremely helpful and made the trip much better and exciting.
Wonderful tour with Rizwan full-day Dubai tour with traditional lunch. Managed to see so many attractions in one day. Highly recommended.
we did a one-day tour as a couple to Al Ain. The company was very serious, there were only us but the tour was still guaranteed with a minibus. At our complete disposal the driver-guide (Jakir) who was precise in taking us to all the places planned by the tour managing the timing and movements. kind and thoughtful. We visited the planned sites. absolutely beautiful and unmissable to get to know this exceptional land and population. Tradition, respect and kindness are everywhere, Al Ain is full of history and culture, everything is orderly and well kept. fascinating customs and the spirit of determination and dignity that has allowed this land to transform in an enviable way. Lunch planned in a luxurious hotel with refined dishes. Absolutely a tour not to be missed. Only one visit missed because the site was under renovation. Maybe it could have been replaced with another stage, but this allowed us to stay longer in the other stages.
Unique experience, very different from most Dubai programs. The camel market and the view is remarkable. Audio guide was very informative.
Absolutely worth doing if you've got a little more time in Dubai (UAE). An escape from the city & how it came to be! If you love history & want to experience the historical side of the UAE & what life was like pre oil, then this is a must do! You get to see & experience the old fort & royal palace + enjoy a great all you can eat buffet. There's also the mountain range at the end with a spectacular view. The camel site is not for the faint hearted though... It's a great cultural experience, but also a sad one (even as a meat eater). Our tour guide was Rilwan Mohama'd. He was very kind & informative. He told us lots about each site we visited. He also did a pit stop on the drive back to Dubai for a quick drink & loo break. My only slight niggle, is the lunch is a bit later in the tour, so definitely bring a water bottle & little snack (crisps or something to nibble in the car). We left our bags in the car at each side we visited.
We have chosen Full Day Al Ain Tour with lunch to discover the UNESCO oasis. Our tour guide Razwan was very kind. We visited AL Jahili Fort, Al Ain Palace Museum, Al Ain Oasis, Camel Market, Jabal Hafeet panoramic viewpoint (unfortunately during the tour you don’t visit the summit) and Mubazarah Hot Springs. Some stops could be longer but overall I recommend the tour. Futhermore, the very delicious lunch was included.
The tour was very interesting and informative. Rizwan, our guide was very nice, patient, and answered all our questions appropriately. We would recommend him as a guide for any tour. He is an asset to the company.
Rizwan took me to amazing places in Al Ain! Wonderful tour with amazing guide ! The lunch was delicious too!
We are a Brazilian couple and we had a wounderfull day with our Guide Rizwan. We enjoyed a lot the Garden City Alain and we strongly recomend this trip with Rizwan! The food was very good too.
Our guide Kumar made this day to a very special day. He showed us al Ain with its all beautiful small secrets. Beside the hidden gems which we were able to see, Kumar told us a lot interesting information about the history, culture and landscape. Also the lunch in the hotel is fully recommendable. I want to give a huge thanks to the team and a special thanks to Kumar. The trip is absolutely recommendable! Cheers Anika
The tour operator Grayline was organised and efficient. The buses were clean and comfortable. Loved thr fsct that we had headsets for commentary and info all the way there and all around. It was informative and interesting. The fort was good, particularly the photo exhibition. 30 mins was long enough though. The palace museum was lovely too. We could have spent a little longer here but I can imagine in really hot weather that 30 mins would have been enough. The Oasis was great to see. We paid 20dirhams each extra for the buggy ride around (which took 30 mins). This was worth it to see everything. They did photo stops so you didn't miss out. Lunch was good, with a wide choice and soft drinks included. The camel market was an experience! Not too smelly but opened your airways!!! Loved the ride up to the viewing point on the mountain, fabulous for photos. We then went to the hot springs. Sadly, we couldn't bathe as no water (issues due to heavy rainfall). Our guide knew where to go though to bathe our feet in the hot spring water - lovely experience. Our guide was helpful all day and kept us all safe. I would do this trip again and highly recommend it if you want to see the beauty of the UAE away from the glitz and glamour of Dubai.
You can visit Al Ain only if you have plenty of time. But I would still spend more time in Dubai. The fort and Museum was OK. The tour guide was not helpful and was rushing at every stop. We went to see camles and mountain. Nothing interesting. The trip is not worth the money.

Very informative if you are interested in UAE history and traditions. Guide Naser was very good and very nice person.
Unfortunately tour is not promoted so only 4 people participate.
I would include few more attractions in the tour like camel market, souk, zoo, etc.

Well-guided tour. The tour guide knew very well and explained in detail during the stops visited. We were in a small group (5 people).
Very nice driver in air-conditioned bus. Audio guide. Good selection of sights and steps. Criticism more than 800 euros is inappropriate and far too expensive.
Organization not top the driver was on time only he took us to 1 other meeting point where we had to wait for 1 other driver short time go much longer than expected. The guide polite but not very enthusiastic. The sites to visit very well only we would have to review the time given to each one like for example the palm grove where we had only 5 minutes!!!when it is such a relaxing place that deserves to be enjoyed more. Meal well but without more it is an Indian buffet certainly in a beautiful hotel but nothing extra
Un Ville de « banlieue » de Aboudabi. Musée pas pire. La bouffe est époustouflante. Notre guide était parfait
Price ok Travel companion impossible! Shuttle Service impossible! We booked the Abu Dhabi trip incl. shuttle to and from the hotel, we were picked up in the morning you when we arrived back in Dubai the guide changed the exit location and let us get off at another end of the city with a microphone announcement here our trip ends on the right is the metro, left taxis and gone he was! All travelers got off the bus and searched for your shuttle back to the hotel but no one was there as we were let out in a wrong place by the bus! Every family, couple, etc. were thus forced to take a taxi back to your Hitel. Since also the guide left the bus first and suddenly was gone nobody could give us any further information.! During the Abu Dhabi tour we spent more time on the bus as we could stay at each station for a maximum of 10 minutes and so could not see each other at all! How can you walk through the Ferrari world in 10 minutes? So that was an absolute minus..! Can't really recommend the tour
We booked this tour with Get your Guide. Our guide (Anwar) was just fantastic, so this tour was also very successful. Since our Giude spoke Arabic (comes from Morocco), for example, communication in the camel market was certainly easier and we had unforgettable insights. In the oasis we were also shown how dates are collected and we also tried some (I don't really like any, but these were sooooo delicious). We can really recommend this excursion (with a good guide like Anwar)

Rewiew auf Deutsch / ENGLISH SEE BELOW

The route:

You have to take the long way from Dubai. In Al Ain we saw a date forest with irrigation canals in the city, it was very hot, we hardly walked. Lunch was ok in a modern hotel near the camel market. We visited it after lunch, there was nothing going on, the market apparently has its activity in the morning. After all, we saw many animals in the enclosures. Then to the highest mountain, some beautiful views, but not really fascinating. Neither is the recreation park with the freshwater stream.

The tour guide: punctual pick-up at the hotel. Our Indian tour guide, who spoke only broken English, was kind and assiduous, but could hardly convey anything interesting. At the camel market it took us forever to visit it, it was completely unclear why it took so long. The car was ok, except that the climate didn't work properly at 45C outside!

Conclusion: The leadership seemed to me rather unprofessional. In addition, Viator had indicated to me that the tour would only take place if there were a minimum of two passengers. I had only booked two days in advance, and bought two extra tickets - I was alone, but there were five of us in the group. I wish the reservation system advised me how many people were going to be present so I would not have had to purchase extra tickets. Also the search possibilities on the website are impractical. I had already booked in some countries via Viator and had not found a better service yet. Apparently this is a difficult business.
