I had a truly lovely stay at Chedi Al Bait. What makes this hotel special is not simply the level of luxury, but the atmosphere. Very peaceful, elegant, and intimate. The traditional architecture and heritage details give the property a sense of place that is increasingly rare in modern hotels. The service was warm and attentive throughout my stay, and I appreciated how calm and welcoming everything felt. Thanks you to Yassine who received us to warmly and to Shokry and Rob who were so kind and attentive over breakfast. The rooms and common areas are beautifully maintained, and there are so many charming little corners around the property that make you want to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. One of my favourite details was the presence of the cats around the hotel. They added an unexpectedly sweet, homely feeling to the experience 🐈 It is a wonderful choice if you want somewhere refined and luxurious without feeling impersonal or overly commercial. I left feeling genuinely rested and would happily return.

We’re so glad we chose it over other five-star hotels. The location is perfect—next to the souq and close to the Corniche. The hotel is stunning and was the perfect backdrop for photos after attending a wedding in Sharjah. I loved that our room had no carpet, the variety of dining options (Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and international cuisine), and the reflexology shower. The WhatsApp butler service was incredibly convenient, and the service throughout the hotel truly made us feel like we were staying in a genuine five-star hotel. The spa massage was excellent, but the spa menu could be clearer, as the face massage was listed under the facial section, which was a bit confusing. The only other issue was the shower water—it was cold on the first day, and although it became hot on the second day, the water pressure was quite weak. Overall, a beautiful hotel with outstanding service, an excellent location, and a memorable stay. We’d definitely return.
The Chedi in Sharjah is in the heritage compound. The context is romantic but I find it lacking in terms of a true sanctuary. The area is bare, no trees, not landscaped. Feels like in the middle of the desert and not the heart of a city. The arrival experience was simply hot and yellow. The valet person was standing under one tree, the cars do not have sheltered parking. In trying to be of minimal disturbance to original heritage zone, the arrival experience is not something I expect of Chedi. From the drop off, the same valet left my suitcases under the tree and walked with me to the reception house. One arrives at a narrow corridor that is waiting area , it’s a benched reception lounge. There is no reception desk, a lady appeared from the external with a glass of iced lavender drink and cold towel. It is a bit unsettling that one do not face the check in person over a desk . However I appreciate very much the front desk’s (thanks to Jesly) upgrade of my room to a grand heritage room that comes with an a little sitting area . I also tried out the spa facilities, which is quiet and rejuvenating, was lovely chatting to spa manager - Sari. Dinner was attentive, and Chef’s lamb shank was very nicely prepared. Checked out was also very well supported, by Kristal. Later, I realized I left back some belongings in the hotel - Maher, and Omaima were very proactive and helped me to package it to pass on to my courier whom I sent to collect … Overall, the service team of Chedi was really excellent . Unfortunately, I won’t say the same for the architects who delivered this project . I do not feel exclusive as a guest within this architecture.
An excellent hotel with real attention to detail — down to thoughtful touches like having reading glasses available for guests reading the restaurant menus. On a related note, the breakfast has three excellent set menu options: Arab, European and Indian. What makes it especially memorable is that the hotel feels a bit like a museum in its own right. It was created from beautifully restored heritage houses that once belonged to prominent Sharjah families, which gives the whole place a genuine sense of history and atmosphere rather than feeling like just another luxury hotel. The location is also very convenient, right in the Heart of Sharjah, next to its Souq and within easy reach of the old town’s historic sites, while the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization is only a short drive away.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights and can’t fault a thing. The hotel is traditional and quiet in a lovely location within Sharjah with lots of traditional heritage sites at the doorstep. We had breakfast included which was delicious and also ate some nice food by the pool. Every single staff member we interacted with was ready to greet us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. We spent one of our days by the pool relaxing and must give a special mention to Sam who was excellent with his service and knew what we needed before we even asked! We will absolutely be recommending a stay here to our friends and hope to be back ourselves.
