First Central Hotel Suites

Had a great stay here - the rooms are quite large, and come with a washing machine which was gratefully welcomed. The only downside is the water pressure, but you can’t have everything. the pool on the roof was fine - it’s big enough - and the gym is very good with lots of equipment. There are also cafes nearby too which is helpful. I will stay here again

I genuinely wanted to give this hotel 5 stars because several staff members were truly exceptional and made my stay enjoyable. However, my experience was significantly affected by an issue with an employee named Hilarideen Ramlan, who handled my refund process very poorly. Unfortunately, the refund process became stressful and frustrating, as I received an incorrect refund amount and have not received any response to my follow-up emails. What made the situation even more disappointing was the lack of response or action from the manager, Shinoy Pookkottil, despite my attempts to resolve the issue. It is genuinely unfortunate because the hotel has some extraordinary staff members who provide excellent service, but experiences like this changed what could have been a great stay into a very disappointing one.

Overall, we had a good stay at First Central Hotel & Suites. The hotel is well maintained, clean, and the overall concept works well. At the reception, Ilham assisted us very professionally and gave us an excellent first impression of the hotel. She was friendly, helpful, and made the check-in process smooth and pleasant. The rooms are cleaned very thoroughly — housekeeping does a great job. The beds are comfortable, and everything in the room was functioning properly. We had a room on a higher floor with a nice view, which we really appreciated. That said, the furniture is starting to show its age. Everything works, but some modernization would definitely add value to the property. We had a minor issue with the water temperature in the shower (it was only lukewarm). After informing reception, the technical department fixed it the same day, which was very positive. The pool area looked decent and well kept. Unfortunately, due to a minor injury, I wasn’t able to use the gym. Breakfast experience: The breakfast selection was good. However, what stood out was the noticeable “hurry” atmosphere created by the staff. Plates were cleared very quickly — sometimes while we were still eating or when glasses were still half full. Being attentive is appreciated, but here it felt slightly rushed rather than relaxed. On one occasion, while I was on a phone call and had placed my phone in the cutlery basket area on the table, a plate was removed without a brief check, which caused my phone to fall. Of course, accidents can happen, but this seemed to result from the overall fast-paced clearing approach. At around 10:30 AM, the clearing became quite loud — dishes and trays were stacked in a way that created noticeable noise. I understand the breakfast area is not a business center, but a bit more consideration would be appreciated. Elevators: There are four elevators, but due to the number of floors, waiting times can occasionally be longer. This is understandable. Conclusion: A clean and generally well-managed hotel with solid quality. With small improvements in breakfast service and gradual modernization of furniture, this hotel could easily move to the next level.

My stay was overall positive at this facility bit there are a few things which need to be looked at. Pros: There was no pest problem throughout my stay. The staff is polite and responsive. The room size was good and had a great view. Cons: The breakfast area is very congested and the selection is very boring and repetitive. The housekeeping is not very good and would only clean the visible areas and no in depth cleaning even when we checked in I could see dust on the console and the sofas are very dated and dirty. The water drainage would clog at times.
