The guides on the trip made this a 5 star. Their knowledge of the history of Czech and its geology provided great insights that I would not have picked up on my own. The pace the walking was fine and not challenging. The lunch spot was fine and the van was comfortable. They itinerary hit 3 great spots. Nice day trip out of Prague

Itinerary
The tour begins by picking you up at your Dresden hotel, Airbnb or elsewhere in Dresden. Our comfortable vehicle will then transport you to the German part of the National Park. The snacks and beverages along the way in combination with an informative description of the passing landmarks will make the journey over in no time.
Our first destination is the magnificent Bastei Bridge (Saxon Switzerland, Germany). The breathtaking view of the Elbe River Canyon, high above which the Bridge perches, will be engrained into your memory forever. Watching the sunrise above the unique sandstone pinnacles is a priceless experience.
The easy scenic walk across the Bastei Bridge is finished by an excursion of the medieval castle ruins of Felsenburg Neurathen (13th cen.), located at the other end of the Bastei Bridge.
The following jurney takes us over the border to the Bohemian (Czech) part of the National Park. First we will visit Sneznik- lookout from 19. century. The views will be spectacular. In good weather you will be able to see all surrooundings including Dresden and the Bohemian Saxon Switzerland national park. In summer you will have the option instead of walking take the scooter for the way down the hill (fee not included since not always available).landscape.
Before exploring the Tyssa sandstone labyrinth, a rich lunch in the local-cousine style will be served to you (vegeterian options available), including a drink of your choice.
Finally, the Chronicles of Narnia filming site will be visited - the Tyssa Walls. While famous among rock-climbers and locals, this place remains relatively unknown to the international public, in spite of the Narnia movie having been filmed there. You will surely appreciate the lack of crowds, so typical of the historical European cities or the other natural monuments. The fantasy atmosphere of the labyrinth as well as the upper platform view will make this your own personal Narnia experience. The tour will end by dropping you off in Dresden at your accommodation or elsewhere in the city.

This was a very pleasant day trip out of Dresden. Our guide, Victoria, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The van was clean and comfortable and stocked with snacks and water. Plus the tour includes a very nice lunch with local cuisine. The tour had spectacular views of the state park which was beautiful. Readers should note that the tour involves moderate intensity uphill walking. Bring appropriate shoes and don't take it if you can't walk long distances. Overall it was a great way to see Germany's and Czech Republic's natural beauty (most of the tour happens in the Czech side of the border with Germany).
Tour was well organized and ran smoothly. Matyas was a great guide and friendly to everyone, communicative and willing to ask questions. Tour was willing to pick me up and drop off from different locations and was willing to help tour members with whatever issues they had.
The views at the three stops on this trip were amazing and more than I expected. The hike up to the Arch was more intense that I thought it was going to be but still anyone in moderate shape can do it if they take their time. The hike up is definitely worth it! The restaurant for lunch had excellent food and a great view of the Arch and surrounding scenery. Our guide and driver were locals with a lot of information and more than happy to talk with us.
What an amazing tour! Our guide, Daniel, was both our driver and guide. He is very knowledgeable of the sites we visited, and articulated his knowledge skillfully. The three sites are incredibly scenic and the tour included a delicious lunch at an alpine restaurant. I highly recommend the tour and Daniel as the tour guide
Unline team is incredible. The driver Daniel picked us up on time and the guide Joseph is amazing. The scenery, the hike, and the stories Joseph told were very memorable. Definitely recommend this one!
Trip was great. Nice and knowledgeable guides. Martin was punctual and kind. Scenery was beautiful. Lunch and transport were top notch. If you are visiting Prague and have an extra day, we would recommend.
This trips was amazing!! Alex was a great guide, getting us to all the optimal places with the lease amount of crowds, offering great information and pacing to the entire trip. Top notch service - beautiful way to see the country side around Prague.
The trip was amazing. Our tour guide, Anna, was so nice and knowledgeable. For the second stop, a huge bolder fell, and the route was blocked off. She was very flexible and took us somewhere else that she had never been before so we still got to see something! The driver was also talkative and great. I would highly recommend this tour!
Fantastic! An unforgettable experience. Scenic views and beautiful landscapes :) Very knowledgable and friendly guide
We took this trip to get away from the museums and churches. This is a nature and part historical trip. We started in the morning around 8:30 AM and the trip was full day returning around 6:00 PM. The trip took us to the natural park spread over Germany and Czech republic. We had a small group of eight people. Our first stop was on the Germany side of the park. It was a hike with several viewing stops. The view is awesome. Then we drove to the Czech side and took a 2 KM hike each way. Once again the view was awesome although the trees were burnt because of a forest fire two years back. Then we stopped for lunch. The lunch was very good. The Snitzel with Potato that I took was great. The ice cream and the lemoinade was very good. The last part of the trip included another 2 KM hike and a boat ride then hike back to the vehicle and drive back to Dresden.. The driver and our guide Dalibora were great.
The tour exceeded my expectations. It was a good break from the history and cultural tours of Europe. It was partly historical, mainly nature and little bit of hiking. The driver and tour guide Dalibora were excellent. They were always on time, worked with the group and never rushed us. They were very caring and knowledgable. Our tour group was small (eight people) and was the right size. The included lunch was awesome. The views were breath taking.
The tour guides were very friendly and informative about the area. The food provided was great and they had plenty of refreshments for the hiking parts. The area was beautiful and the group was small which made it easy to listen to the history and fun facts provided by the guides. Overall, I would recommend doing this if you are in the area.
This was wonderful! My wife & I had a private bus from our hotel in Dresden to our meet up point with the others in our group who arrived from Prague. Our driver was awesome! There were 8 of us in the group. Our guide we enthusiastic and informative the entire day. Went to 3 different parts of the park, had a delicious lunch and plenty of spots for taking incredible photos. It was a great trip, worth every penny
We were so impressed with Bastei and the hike to the arch was unexpected end beautiful. The most impressive part of the journey was our guide Dolly and driver Milan. If you want individualized attention then book this tour. You will not be disappointed!
We had an amazing day with our tour guide Dalibora and driver Vclav touring Saxon Switzerland National Park and surrounding. We were in awe of nature. Beautiful landscapes and interesting rock formations. They picked us up from our Airbnb in Dresden. They provided with us water bottles and snacks through out the day. Lunch was included. And it was tasty Czech cuisine. Dalibora took time to explain and answer any questions we had along the way. Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Dresden.
The tour is well organized, both the girls that guiderà us during the tour were very polite and professional and the locations were amazing! We really appreciated the experience!
The best day tour in my Germany trip. Joseph is a great guide and very friendly and attentive too. He explains a lot of things and makes the trip interesting
Love it. Love it. Love it or should I say loved it. The trip is carefully planned, giving an individual enough time to soak in, rest , enjoy every moment. This trip is a Must experience. We had wonderful Paul who picked us up in the morning, and we truly for the first time felt like and also indeed called him as family by the end . A connection like this is rare and hope reapers can read and understand how they make you feel. Joseph was a well read guide, sharing all necessary details and beyond. He had an answer to all our inquisitive questions. Bastei Bridge. The walk in the Czech side, marveling at the stone formations and the Lunch. Oh My everything gets a 5***** . And it is isn’t easy to get a 5 from a blogger like me . Paul even went ahead n surprised us with something as we were marking our wedding anniversary. Loved it. Do not thing twice and book with them. They are the BEST
A great trip and Josef is a great guide, showing us the fantastic countryside, good food for lunch and providing plenty of insights
Thank you Unitours for a wonderful day trip. Even though I was not able to do the tour I signed up for due to the fires, you managed to make the day equally fun, knowledgeable and truly amazing !
It was a great day out in the country, beautiful scenery. Our driver Paul and tour guide Paul were great. They really looked out for us, there is a lot of hiking involved, steep and at some points very rocky, at one point we turned back from the trail and The 2 Paul’s coordinated to pick us up at bottom of trail and take us to the restaurant to wait for the rest of the group. That was above and beyond service. Lunch was good, we had snacks packed for us in the van, which was very nice. All in all we enjoyed the day. We are not use to hiking, the rest of the group did not have the issues we did, but we are quite a bit older! Our driver and tour guide were wonderful.
I highly recommend this tour. The tour guides were great and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed. Expect some hike and ensure you are wearing a comfortable shoes.
George and Thomas were wonderful. The trail to the arch was a little bit difficult for me, but I made it and it was worth it.
Sherry/Sharks and Pavel made for a wonderful tour experience. Both were knowledgeable and engaging. The scenery was wonderful, the time at the destinations was perfect, and I can't imagine a better day seeing the countryside. I've taken several trips with viator and this has been my favorite.
The tour was excellent and exciting. The guide Joseph was very nice and professional. We will certainly recommend this tour to our friends
What a way to end a weekend in prague! After spending a few days in the city, me and my partner spent our last full day soaking up the breath taking views the fantasy tour had to offer. Paul and Joseph arrived at 7.10am sharp as previously explained in an email sent to me the day before. They both got out shook our hands and opened the doors to their spacious mini van with only 2 other passengers. They were both very welcoming, offering us all snacks, water and tissue in a cooler bag each. The journey to bohemian didn't seem that longs as the guys both chatty and informative, pointing out landmarks and the history behind them along the way. The weather was great and the views were absolutely amazing. The tour itself was brilliant and we had a lovely traditional lunch and plenty of toilet breaks to which the guide paid for and refreshments avaliable throughout the day. Worth every penny!
The guide joseph and the driver paul are very friendly and caring, the tour let us discover new hidden place of nature.
The tour is definitely recommended. Especially if you like hiking and nature. The landscape is really breathtaking. You must have seen it. The hike is manageable. Joseph and Paul are very friendly and accommodating. Joseph is a great guide who is very enthusiastic, entertaining and knowledgeable. The food at the Czech restaurant was also very tasty. All in all, a great trip made very enjoyable especially by Joseph and Paul.
We had a great tour of Saxon Switzerland with our guide Joseph and driver Paul. Both were so friendly and accommodating the entire day. Joseph provided extensive information about the areas we were driving through as well as the sites we visited. Paul was a great driver and very easy to get along with. They took us to some amazing views and we had a delicious lunch at a local Czechia restaurant. Would definitely recommend the company and Joseph and Paul!
We had an absolute blast with Paul and Eduardo! We started laughing and having fun from the moment we met at the hotel lobby. Our tour was very well organized and went very smoothly. We are very grateful for the lovely day and will remember our experience for a lifetime. ( Paul, we've put it in English so you don't need to translate it 😉😉. See you in Prague! ) Cindy and Jonas.
This tour was THRILLING with MIND BLOWING views! My teenage daughter and I went and had an amazing time! Our tour guide, Cas, and our wonderful driver picked us up on time at our hotel in a very clean van with bottled water and snacks. They made us feel welcome and Cas was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and funny! Everything was well organized and we never felt rushed when hiking and enjoying the sights. The lunch provided at the restaurant in the park was OUTSTANDING!! If you can climb some stairs and a tall hill, you will LOVE this tour! Thank you for giving us an amazing day we will always remember for the rest of our lives!!!
This was a great tour. The van ride was clean and comfortable and they didn’t drive crazy. It was so nice to get picked right at my hotel too. There were snacks and water provided. The drive between sites wasn’t too long. The sites visited were just incredible!! I ordered the meal recommended by our guide Kasius (spelling) and driver Roman. So glad I did because it was incredibly delicious. We were lucky to have beautiful weather. It was just a great day!!
The tour was just excelent. Big thanks to whole team, especially super friendly guide Josef and driver Pavel. I can only suggest not to wear white sneakers as I did. 😄 And the lunch was a cherry on top.
A day well spent. Hana and Pavel are not only good professionally but are friendly and were good travel companions. All the conversations on cultural knowledge exchange and movies too(😊) made the trip really pleasant. I would highly recommend Uniline tours for day trips and hiking trips in Saxony and Bohemian Switzerland from Prague or Dresden.
First of all we were impressed that the company could accommodate our last minute booking, when other agency cancelled our reservation on a short notice. The guides arrived on time, the vehicle was comfortable and we were offered water and snacks. We were taken to several beautiful sites of the region and greatly enjoyed our day. You have to be moderately fit for this excursion since there is a bit of walking/ climbing stairs involved.
It was a nice experience to discover the gems of Bohemian-Saxon Switzerland as Dresden as our entry point. The tourguide was very punctual and very friendly during the tour. The pacing of the hike wasn't so exhausting and we could still take photos along the way. UnilineTours is very recommendable to all aspiring travellers who want to discover the sandstones formations in German-Czech borders. Five-czechs for UnilineTours🙂
Had a great time on this trip; Roman, our guide was very knowledgeable! Enjoyed ourselves a lot, and would recommend this tour.
The views in Saxon are spectacular with the trail and distance well worth your time. The heights were not a problem as your footing and structure felt secure. Dresden is beautiful with so much history and interesting architecture. Fun to stroll and explore on foot.
Everything was amazing, the guide (Eva) was amazing.... 100% recommended for solo, couple, family etc
I just hope the description of this trip is more elaborate so that we can expect the worst. I didn't know that we would be hiking somewhere around a total of 15 km and there is also uphill trek. so for those who is not use to exercise and has a stamina, I would not suggest this trip, as it was kind of a bit hard with lots and lots and lots of walking and some terrain was quite a steep uphill. At first I was kind of regret taking this trip but after reaching the top, the views were amazing. Our Guide, Katy was vry knowledgable and very patient and caring which makes me not feeling so guilty when being always left behind. Katy has timed everything perfectly. Thanks Katy
This tour was very well planned and convenient from the start. Unlike most tours, this one offers to pick you up from your location within the city. The vehicles were clean and stocked with bottled water and snacks. The tour is also small groups only (a maximum of six people), which I liked. Our guide, Hana, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable of the landscape we explored with a great sense of humor. The lunch was also delicious and specifically local cuisine--a foodie's dream. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely try more tours if they coincide with our future travels.
My daughters and I signed up for this trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Steven was an excellent tour guide who was very knowledgeable, humourous, and made the entire experience a lot of fun. We highly recommend this tour!
Macht weiter so. Man merkt, dass ihr das aus Inspiration tut und von Herzen. Danke, für diese gelungene Tour.
We made this trip and were totally thrilled. Josef and Pawel really did everything to make the day unforgettable. A big thank you for that. You don't find that much commitment and kindness often. Then there is the spectacular landscape. There are no wishes left unfulfilled. Recommended at any time and always happy with Uniline.
We had, my sister and I, a wonderful tour with Steven, he was our guide, super dynamic, friendly an excellent guide. We were picked up from the hotel in Dresden and went to these two wonderful places, inside Germany and the other one already across the border. I'm not hiking, I was almost throwing in the towel... but with the enthusiasm of the small group of our guide I managed to climb... and I recommend it 100%. They foresaw us bottles of water and snacks. We took some wonderful photos, tasted on top of rocks beers, snacks and also had lunch somewhere else amid such wonderful vegetation. A spectacular full day. Thanks Steve 💕 Paola & Giovanna from Peru, based in Munich. The trip we actually did in 2019... but it won't let me put the date :(
We took the S-Bahn from Dresden station. 35 min of travel then on site, a walk of about 1 hour to go to the top. Beautiful walk through the woods. Nice rock formation and beautiful construction. A little airy on the views but nothing mean. Upstairs there is a small restaurant where you can drink, eat and have ice cream. Prices are clearly accessible.
Those who visit Saxony cannot avoid the Bastei. If you are early, drive to the inner parking lot, then save yourself the walk.
