This experience was amazing. I loved the view. To get to Pravčická Gate is a steep and uneven ground. It is worth the hike but you should definitely not have any mobility issues. Barbora was our tour guide and she was great. She kept everyone together and accommodated our needs and requests. Daniel (our driver) was very friendly and was a safe driver.

We had a great trip with Saxon tours. We were picked up and dropped back at our hotel which was lovely. We had 3 walks and a yummy lunch after the second walk. It was a rainy and overcast day but it was worth the trip, learning about the area, nature and escaping the city.
We had great time visiting Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland. We were there with another family- total of 7 ppl. Milan was great and punctual and we saw great views as promised. Lunch was amazing

This was a great out of doors experience. We went to 3 different sites, all with there each unique scenery and things that made them special. We also had the perfect weather for this hike, temps in the 50's. It does get chilly up at the top, so layer up. Our guide was Andrea and she was outstanding. She is from the area and knows anything and everything about the sites. Be prepared to walk a lot (I got 20K steps) and the second hike is uphill, so wear comfy shoes or hiking shoes. I would definitely do this tour again.
Such a great experience! It was a last minute decision but all worth it. From the hotel pick up to scenic drive and lunch, i highly recommend Saxon Tours! The tour guide was very patient and kept us on track without being rushed. Our driver, who I found out later is the owner, is very accomodating and answered my question about Prague and Germany. The length of visit is absolutely right and the atmosphere was calm, relaxed and friendly. We did not pay a single cent (event to enter the toilet). To all Narnia fans, this trip is a must!
Milan and Andrea provided a wonderful family experience for our group of 6. The drive to all locations felt safe, warm and comfortable along with snacks and waters. Andrea is a knowledgable guide and very patient. We enjoyed our time greatly!

It is an excellent and enjoyable way to learn about important sights and the landscape and area around Dresden. The tour guide was attentive, informative and helpful to make the tour enjoyable. I'd say the Lunch was the only 'negative' experience of the day, rather mechanical and somber (I don't recommend the Potato Dumplings).

Adrea was a great guide, giving good instructions and explanations. Water and snacks were provided and we enjoyed a lovely lunch. We did 3 hikes and there were some amazing scenery. Daniel was a good and safe driver and kept the vehicle clean and tidy.
You should consider trekking poles. I used them part of the time and should have used them in Tisá as well. The vistas were gorgeous and the guides were excellent. The lunch was also very good.
Very well organized from pickup to return, with a tasty lunch included. We visited wonderful places in nature, like the sandstone arch, tall rock formations, and more. The views were amazing. We had an enjoyable trip hiking with a very knowledgeable guide, Ondrej. It was very interesting to be hiking with others from various parts of the world. We ate a delicious lunch in the Czech Republic. I would definitely recommend this trip.
We actually took the trip from Prague with Ondrej and Czech Out Tours, but in association with Milan and Saxon Tours. Both guides were excellent and kind, and we had an absolutely fantastic day in Saxony and Bohemia. I would 100% recommend this to people of all ages. We had two children (7 and 9) and they loved it too.
Breathtaking scenery and fantastic service! Andrea (the tour leader) and Dan (the driver) were extremely nice and accommodating. They provided my 77-year-old mother with walking sticks and an umbrella to shield her from the sun during the hike. They planned everything perfectly timing-wise and navigated the unexpected occurrences expertly so that we wouldn’t miss a thing. They provided us with water and snacks throughout the day and ensured that there were sufficient toilet stops as well, so that everyone was always happy and comfortable. In short, it was a perfect day!

We had a great day out with Saxon Tours. We were looked after very well by Milan and Tomas who took care of everything from punctual pick up, smooth entry to attractions to snacks/refreshments. Tomas was very knowledgeable about the history and geology of each site and was super company. The 3 areas we visited in Bohemian Saxony Switzerland were stunning and combined some beautiful hikes. The tour also included a traditional Czech Meal which was delicious. Highly recommended!

Andrea was very personable, helpful and friendly. She was very knowledgeable and informative. Milan was a very good driver and got us safely to our destinations and was always there to pick us up. The destinations were beautiful and did not disappoint. They exceeded our expectations and made even better by perfect weather.
Not quite what we expected - The tour description was a air conditioned mini-van with water and snacks provided. Yes, we were only 2, however for the price paid... We were picked up in a Toyota Yarris, manual transmission and non-electric windows (didn 't even think that was a thing anymore) I can roll down my own windows, but it kind of set the scale. No water in the car, but our guide did get us waters at our first stop. Don't know what the snacks would have been, also not a big deal. We had elected to shorten the day from the very start, so we only did the Bastile Bridge. Our guide was pleasant, a little language gap, and don't feel that we got a lot of information/history - she did indicate that she does several tours, but the navigation system was on when ever we were in the car. Lunch was included, but it was a little odd that she read us the menu off her phone so we could order in advance? When we arrived it was still about a 20 minute wait and she dined with us. It just felt awkward. We've done several private tours in the past, this just wasn't quite the experience were expecting.
Andrea made our experience memorable with personable and detailed commentary. Each family member walked away very pleases. Very well planned out stops. We enjoyed a great lunch. Milan kept us safe on the road and saved us an uphill walk back at Tisa. I highly recommend Saxon Tours!
Our tour with Saxon Tour, with Milan (driver) and Andrea (guide) was excellent. Milan was very careful driving the van and attentive and our guide Andrea was fun, attentive and gave us accurate and complete information on all the places we visited. The restaurant where we had lunch was very nice and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this tour.
We were blessed with wonderful weather but this added to the well planned and well organised tour. By having separate drivers and guides, we could be dropped closer to attractions and could be picked up at a different point from drop off, meaning more time spent at the attractions and less parking. This was appreciated as we visited on a bank holiday and it was busy, this saved a lot of time. The lunch was good and in a lovely location, we would recommend this to anyone.
We did three short hikes, one of which involved about a mile of fairly steep climb with over 100 steps to get to amazing views plus we got a great Czech lunch with beer. Milan, the driver and owner along with Andra our guide did a superb job of keeping us entertained and informed. A wonderful day trip from Dresden.
We always prefer using independent small businesses for our tours and this tour did not disappoint. With a max of 7 people the tour was the perfect blend of small and professional. Andrea and Milos were fantastic and the knowledge Andrea shared during our hikes was so interesting. I’d definitely recommend this company for any of their tours.

I will add my 5 STAR review to all the others. Fantastic day tour from Dresden. Driver picked us up right in front of hotel. Adam was our wonderful guide. Small group, just eight including Adam. Early March had some snow and ice at the Tissa Sandstone Rocks, but Adam had spike shoe covers for everyone. Great local lunch spot included. Would highly recommend this day trip!

The trip to Saxony was the highlight of our vacation. My husband and I, we were in Dresden for Christmas. The city is beautiful but we needed some nature to complement. We took this tour on Christmas Day and it was the perfect trip. Andrea, our guide, was like a friend taking you to a beautiful place in her hometown. We had such a great time. She did a great job integrating the group so we all ha a lot of fun together…. And the landscapes were just spectacular! I totally recommend this tour.
The booking process was simple and we had great communication with the company leading up to the tour. Our guide, Andrea, and driver Filip picked us up at our hotel right on time. Excellent winter tour of the Bastei Bridge in Saxon Switzerland and the Tiske Steny hiking area in Bohemian Switzerland. The latter had a light coating of snow, which made it extra beautiful. Delicious lunch at an authentic Czech restaurant. Andrea was full of great information about the history of the area. She had a great sense of humor and created a nice sense of camaraderie among the people on the tour. I have some mobility issues and she made sure I had crampons (ice spikes) and trekking poles so I could feel safe and enjoy myself.

Excellent tour. My partner has some ongoing health issues and we felt very well cared for throughout the trip. Our tour guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend in the fall with the gorgeous colours. Hiking out of Pravčická brána during sunset was magical and a highlight of the day.

I went with my wife and young daughters. We were bit worried about the long hiking since it is first time for our kids. It went well, we were tired at the end, but was really worth it. andrea our guide and philip our driver were wonderful, very helpful and friendly.

Your tour description needs to be updated. Due to a fire in the National Park two years ago the trip needed to be changed and that should have been noted. The trip to the Bastei Bridge was great and that part should have been extended. We could not get to the Neurathen Fortress due to the fires. The 2 km hike to the Provoicka Gate was much more demanding that mentioned. Lunch was fine but then came the worst part of the tour. It was listed as a scenic canyon boat ride through the Kamenice River Gorge with a duration of 2 hours. We thought that would be a great way to relax. NO!!!! Instead we had to climb down for 30 minutes to get to the water. Then the boat trip lasted all of 10 minutes (5 minutes down and 5 minutes back) being propelled like a gondola. The narration was in German so didn't understand a thing. Then it was another 30 minute climb out of the canyon. Forget that!!! This entrance to the canyon had to be changed due to the fire. I think you should have offered something in place of the boat trip since it was a waste. No one can help that the fire affected the trip. I just think the itinerary should reflect the change so people are aware of what is happening. The young guide was great and she kept appoligizing - it was not her fault. Our driver from Dresden was congenial and very safe. The trip ran longer than noted and we had to meet our group at the restaurant later. We will continue to use Viator for trips and hope that the future ones will be more accurate. Thank you, Jonell Roberts
Fantastic views and great food! Anna our guide did a great job on pointing out the best sites and history of each location we went. Milan our driver was able to cart us there quickly and picked all of us up directly at the hotels. Beautiful hikes and for those who aren't able to do the steeper ones, they have planned it so you are able to wait at the restaurant and enjoy a nice beer or café!
This was an amazing tour on many levels! Our driver Milan was very organized with all pre-tour communications & friendly; our guide Dalibora was organized, friendly, & kind. The sites were stunning! There were challenging parts which we got through with support & encouragement of our other tour group members, Dalibora, & others we encountered as we were all going along the same direction. We encouraged those who were going on the opposite direction that it was worth it to keep going. As two seniors, we were exhilerated to finish. There were laughs, good times, & kindness shared among people meeting through random chance. Many thanks to Saxon Tours for a truly memorable day!
