This was a great way to get to see most of the touristy stuff with all the major points of interest included. We did enjoy our day & 1/2 on the bus & did get on & off at the really cool stuff.

Very disappointing trip. The first bus we got on the driver told us it was german guiding only so we had to wait for the next bus. Here the tour was guided in german through the speakers all the way. The driver did not offer us head phones before we asked for them and we could hardly hear the english speaker in them as the german voice was very loud. Honestly we were glad to get off!!
Very good visiting interesting places. Slightly changed due to building repairs following a bridge collapse. Good commentary.
We felt discrimination today after the driver told us that it was an "only German bus" and did not want us to ride the bus. Even tough we only wanted a ride back to the main square. Busses are flithy and old. Not recommended specially if you have colored skin.
I wasnt impressed with the tour. We didn't have much time to see the sights and opted for hop on hop off. Sometimes they work and sometimes they dont'. We also had to buy a 2 day pass knowing we didn't need it since we werent going to be there.
Boring bus tour; terrible narrative; would strongly dissuade anyone from paying for this tour; it was boring, poorly done, etc
There were several things about this experience that were bad. First, one of the main reasons we booked these tickets was because they advertised an included English speaking city tour. We saw that the night tour’s English speaking tour was not offered during the winter months, but that the city tour was. We planned our day to be at the tour’s meeting point at the designated time only to be told that they were not offering it any longer. Needless, to say that we were very disappointed. Next, twice as we were within 10 feet of the entrance door the bus drove off. Yes, we were running to catch the bus because the posted times were not reliable. The bus came late/early! Also, finally, our last bus driver drove without regard to the passengers’ safety or any pedestrian’s safety. He actually got into a fight with a gentleman after he stopped within two inches of his car. I am quite certain that the argument would have resulted in blows if the driver had been accessible. In closing, please reconsider taking this tour. We have taken these type of tours several times in several different locations and have never been disappointed before.
The bus was nice, but in November it does not go often. Also, the free walking tour and night tour were not offered in English in November. I asked ahead of time, but no one could tell me if they were in English. We still enjoyed the bus tour.
I love Hop on Hop off, I find myself doing this in every country I visit, it gives me knowledge of the place and I decide when to get off and get back on.
Great way to catch all the sights. Very comfortable on the bus even tho it was very hot today. The commentary was very interesting and informative
Nice round tour of this beautiful city and impressive views. Unfortunately we could not hear the English audio guide because the German audio is so loud. Also, what is said is too much and too fast, so in the end it was only a visual tour for us and we missed the information about the places we saw.
We did a river cruise up to the Dresden Funicular, and then hopped on the Bus for the hop on and off tour back to the city. Couldn't use the second day. They did have trouble with the English recording, we had Germen friends with us so that helped. We think these buses are the best way to start a visit to a new town, anywhere in the world
Ok if you know German well and are half deaf. With the German guide coming from the speakers at full volume, it's impossible to listen to the guide in any other language through the offered earphones. Got a headache within 15 minutes from the noise. Worst hop-on hop-off tour ever!
Some drivers were not very friendly. Second day the English recording did not work so had to move to another seat. The drivers drove the bus well. Back to starting point within 1.5 hours. Had a late start.
With 22 stops to hop on/off you get the best overall view of the city and the suburbs where you cannot walk to because of the distance. Included in the rate is also a free walking tour of the old town and a night guard walking tour in the evening. And you can extend the ticket for several days paying EUR 2,- each day.
The online booking does not work out so well. The first contactoerson couldn't handle it and sent us to the next stop. Even there we were not exactly received most friendly. We were told there that we had booked through a third party and that was always complicated. The ride itself was a pleasure
I think the idea with the Hop in Hop Off bus is very good. You are quick from A to B. Some photos can also be taken from the bus. But it is advisable to think beforehand where you want to watch something. We got off at the Elbe castles, for example, but would then have to wait a very long time for the next bus, with which we then continued to the levitation railway. This bush auffeur was great, by the way! Stopped especially for the passengers to take pictures and waited for them. Hover train was great!
Very unfriendly company, exempts customers if you are at the wrong pier due to traffic jams and missing information when booking and have too little time to get to the right pier. As a customer, you would have expected a change of booking or partial refund at least on the part of the company!
This is the last one! Totally crowded, standing places were already booked. The windows on the back seats are glued shut. The engine is so loud you can't understand. Actually, we were just waiting for this ordeal to finally end. Absolutely not recommended.
The value for money was just great: 20 EUR for 2 days hop on hop off - no long waiting times at the stops - and then the opportunity to make on the two days on a guided city tour with extremely motivated guide and on the entertaining but also knowledge-imparting tour with the night watchman through Dresden's old town.
Online tickets must be cumbersomely exchanged for a paper ticket before bus admission. The additional waiting time annoys considerably.
We took the 2-day ticket and saw a lot with it. We went with 4 different drivers who couldn't have been more different. The explanations are comprehensive, which we really liked. One thing to criticize is the unprofessional tickets: for each day there was a thermal paper printout about 45cm long. On the second day we always had to show both printouts. There is room for savings in materials and better handling by the hundreds of guests every day.
I first took a bus where the announcements were recorded. There were a few people chatting to each other in a friendly manner. This bothered an older couple so much that they shouted through the bus in military commando style to stop the conversation. I have never experienced anything like it before. A man in his early 60s told four female friends to "shut their f---- ups". He threatened to repeat it several times. The man sitting in the front row on the left can be glad that the women were nice, because after all, his cell phone was constantly ringing and he was also chatting to his wife in a pink dress. I have never experienced such terrible fellow bus passengers. With the male and drunken fellow passengers, this could have quickly turned into a fight. After I changed buses, where a bus driver himself made the announcements and talked about life in Dresden, it was really great. There were nice people on board. You can get an overview of Dresden and get some great tips. The night watchman tour was also nice. The rustic humor about the mistresses of that time is obviously too much for gender-conscious people. I found it funny.
Very well organized. Interesting information about the history and city of Dresden is revealed. We have already done many city tours in other cities. However, this provider is definitely one of the best in the industry.
At the top and front you really have the best view and the cold wind does not blow, it comes through the slits in the windows that are removed in the summer. Wind and rattling on the many original GDR roads are included for free. The tour shows you all the important things. Get out and after half an hour the next bus arrives ideally.
The best hop on hop off company I have ever experienced. It started with a lot of passion right from the sales, then the bus tour with a super informative driver who talked the whole way. It continued with the night watchman tour and the old town tour the following day. Both tours were also a great experience, where you got to hear a lot about the city of Dresden. I can recommend it 100%.
Good opportunity to discover Dresden independently. 22 points are visited. Price-performance ratio is good, buses run every 15 minutes.
We had a very informative city tour. The driver in the Hawaiian shirt deserves special mention; he added his own Saxon humor to the information from the tape and gave us a lot of information in a funny way. Thank you very much and keep it up
We booked the hop on tour on the last day of our trip. The dog was no problem. The tour was great, but we only managed 3 stops because there was something to see everywhere and we still walked a lot during the stops. The information in the bus came over loudspeakers, which we found very pleasant, as we usually only use headphones. However, it did happen that the speaker was sometimes hard to hear. Next time we will definitely book a 2-day tour. Unfortunately, we couldn't do the boat trip because of low water.
The bus tour is very interesting. You see all the sights once and if you want you can get out to look at them more closely. The night watchman tour is also included and that was great. It was so funny but also really informative. I can only recommend it to everyone.
I would love to come back!!! Have booked a 2 day ticket with kennel. After initial small organizational obstacles everything went absolutely smoothly! The Old Town tour with Bettina was great and only the Nightwatchman tour with Hieronymus Sarcasm - an experience and challenge for our laughing muscles 👍😂 The group had not expected sooo much wit and that a Dutchman would tell us about the gossip and gossip of the 17th century. Century tells just as little - full score and with this night watchman an absolute MUST!!! Somewhat pointless for me is the online booking ... because you have to exchange the voucher for tickets on site! You have to allow generous time for this depending on the season and the crowd. As already stated, the organization is tapping into I personally don’t quite feel myself and I need improvement 😉 The 3 exhibitions were very extensive and worth their money. Have managed only 2 out of time greetings (Old painters and porcelain exhibition) For the kennel alone with exhibitions one should plan 1 day. Have experienced kennel Xperience for an additional 10,-€. Anyone who likes 3D experiences should definitely take a look.
We bought the city tour for 2 days on site, including a guided city tour and a night watchman tour for the next evening. I would particularly like to mention the sales staff who were very friendly, patient and funny. In the buses we always got a seat, the announcement could not always be understood in the red bus (engine very loud) at full speed. The tour was very informative with small anecdotes. We really liked the night watch tour, absolutely funny and very different from the city tour, certainly not for children. We can highly recommend the 2-day pass.
Very nice tour, the bus driver gave us the time for a somewhat difficult entry, many small anecdotes from the bus driver cheered up the ride. Thomas thank you for that.
You can even choose your preferred time. We bought the ticket in the morning with a start on the same day from 16:00. So we were able to "work through" our daily program and then at the end of the day take the bus and think about where we want to get off the next day. We were lucky: We would like to mention our bus driver Thomas in particular! The man loves his job and makes interesting but also fun announcements / information. He had also been happy to take time for a short personal conversation during the stop at the dairy. Thank you, Thomas!! Otherwise, the tour is what you expect. We were not disappointed and can only recommend the offer!
One big disappointment and rip-off! It is not pointed out that currently only the big city tour is offered and Pillnitz Castle tour is not. On the bus they are still advertising with Pillnitz Castle! So we bought the 2 day ticket in vain. After a stop at a landmark you wait a long time for the next bus and if you are unlucky it only takes 2-3 passengers and you wait another at least 20 minutes. Was like that at the Blue Wonder and the Pounds Dairy! Buses then totally overcrowded, people standing close to each other in the aisle. Mandatory masks are not observed. The age-defying buses are so loud that you don't understand anything about the explanations in the back. On request we were told that they offer a boat trip to Pillnitz. 24€/person .... We then took the public transport to Pillnitz Castle on the 2nd day. This was quick and was clearly costing for 2 people only 9€.
Actually quite a tour to get an overview. However, the roof was not opened as described, despite nice weather. This meant that you had to constantly duck to see the buildings. The roof of the bus is very disturbing if you are not sitting directly at the window. If you get off in between and want to continue on one of the following buses, you must not rely on the times indicated. None of the buses arrived on time. They even drove away from under our noses because they arrived up to 8 minutes early. Very annoying if you have booked a subsequent appointment (city tour) and do not arrive on time. Fortunately, public transport was very useful, which we then switched to.
I would recommend it to anyone - there is a lot of information, you can also get out of the city centre a bit more and still have guided tours with you. Unfortunately, we did not join the night hike and certainly missed something! During the guided tour we did not need to show our ticket (?!?) and apparently you cannot read it if it was not booked directly with the agency. Nevertheless, it worked and we have no criticism - all good :-)!
