Dormero Hotel Dresden Airport

I booked here because it was one of the cheapest on offer in Dresden at the time. It's approx 25 mins by tram to the centre of Dresden. The hotel needs a bit of tlc but my room was basic but clean and with a comfy bed. I wasn't a fan of the pillows....they were too soft and flat for me. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot. I appreciated the free drinks in the minibar in my room. Jennifer checked me in when I arrived and she was professional and polite. The area is quiet and residential. I travelled alone and arrived at about 10.30pm at night and had no issues walking to the hotel from the tram stop (about 6/8mins).

The hotel is definitely in need of renovation. It still looks like it's the 90's. When asked about a broken fridge, the receptionist shrugged his shoulders and said that some fridges were just broken. But the worst thing was the bathroom. At first glance, looked clean enough but it turned out that the reason for clogged bathtub was a huge lump of black hair🤢I'm blonde...

Avoid this hotel. We prepaid the stay via Booking.com, yet our employee was charged again at check-in, resulting in a duplicate payment of 103.32 EUR. The hotel admitted the mistake and confirmed the double charge, but weeks later the money has still not been returned. They claim the case was forwarded to accounting, but no action has been taken. Communication is extremely poor — after multiple follow-ups, the hotel either delays or stops responding altogether. Keeping a customer’s money after acknowledging an error is completely unacceptable. This shows a serious lack of professionalism and reliability. We strongly advise others to be careful when booking this property.

(+) There's a beautiful green area nearby where horses roam, the view is nice. The heaters work well, the price is reasonable. (-) The refrigerator isn't cooling, the bed is noisy, there's no water boiler in the room just at the reception, the toilet flush was leaking, it's far from the city center, but accessible by tram.
