We took two private tours with Rory. His knowledge of the Dingle Peninsula, Slea Head and the Ring of Kerry/Skellig is phenomenal. But beyond that, he is a lot of fun! We laughed a lot, he told great stories, he had lots of great tips for food and music. Rory is so easy to be with. You'll feel like you made a friend. You won't regret this experience!

Our group would give 10 stars if we could! From start to finish, our experience was excellent. Our tour guide, Mike, was fabulous. He had extensive knowledge of the area, its history and culture. The tour was an outstanding value. We would highly recommend using Dingle Slea Head Tours. Don’t forget to ask for Mike!
Communication before the tour was great. Rory picked my wife, myself, and our friend up on time from our hotel and we started our all day private tour. Rory was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He did a great job explaining what we would do for the day, made sure he asked us questions to make sure we did and saw everything we wanted to and then the tour began. The tour was great, lots of stops for pictures and it was nice to get out and take in all of the beautiful scenery not just drive by it. We loved that Rory knew the schedule for all the day tours and made sure we were well ahead of them which allowed us to enjoy each stop that much more. I would highly recommend Rory and this tour
Dora was spectacular. She went above and beyond to make such a magical day for us. We had so many unexpected surprises. She put in the research from just a few photos and names I had to find my husband’s grandmothers house for us. We considered her family by the end of the tour. Her knowledge of history, flora and culture made our 8 hour tour such a wonderful day we will never forget! Thank you so much Dora
We had a private tour around the peninsula with Des. One of the most fun, easy, enjoyable tours we've ever taken! The sights were incredible, but made even more enjoyable by Des's knowledge of history and local lore. From the local pub to sights off the beaten path, Des designed our day perfectly. Dodging weather, timing sights just right to avoid crowds, and giving us time to enjoy each stop, the day could not have been more comfortable. You won't regret booking this tour! Don't spend any more time searching; book this company now!
Highly recommend!! We had an amazing day tour around the Dingle Peninsula with Rory. He was a wonderful guide and was very knowledgeable about this part of Ireland which is his home. The tour allowed us to take in many beautiful and interesting sights and learn about the history and culture of this breathtaking area. Rory tailored the tour to our group's interests and needs. The van was new, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Booking and pick up were seamless as well! My group highly recommends this tour and we look forward to a repeat next time we visit Ireland! Thank you, Rory and Dingle Slea Head Tours!!
Coln & Mike were out two drivers for our private group of 12. Best all day tour ever!! They stopped at every photo opportunity, kept us entertained with their humor and stories. Highly recommend them! So memorable!
We had a wonderful day seeing the sights and learning about the area. Dora was our guide and we can’t thank her enough for making this day perfect. She was great with the kids and very accommodating for the photographer in our group. It was definitely worth the money.
Hands down the best part of our Ireland trip. Rory was the perfect host - timely and knowledgeable. The van was spacious and comfortable and small enough to go down local roads the big busses can't. While we had rented a car, I'm.very glad we didn't drive Slea Head ourselves. My blood pressure and marriage would have suffered for sure. Thanks so much, Rory!
We booked a private full day tour of the Ring of Dingle. Our driver, Dora, was fantastic. She asked about our interests and tailored the day to what we wanted to see. She lives on Dingle and really showed us the highlights as well as spots off the beaten path, and she was able to provide a local perspective on everything. We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to book again.
Book this company. best we used in Ireland. Knowledgeable, friendly, funny and 100 pct worth the money. Family of 5 had an great time!
IT WAS PERFECT! Our tour guide was Colm, he was so knowledgeable and kind. Always the gentleman. Highly recommend this company and guide. Our adult children loved him.
Our tour guide, Karen, was incredible, and this was a spectacular day - the highlight of my 10 days in Ireland. We booked the full day private tour for a group of four. This was a real splurge for our family, and I was a bit worried that my family members wouldn't think it was worth it -- but the tour exceeded all our expectations, and we were so glad we did it. I was happy that my sister, who did most of the driving on the trip, had a chance to be a passenger for the day and enjoy the stunning scenery. Karen, our guide, asked us at the beginning of the day if there were any particular points of interest for us, and made sure that we got to see the things we were most interested in. There are plenty of stops to get out of the minivan, enjoy the beautiful landscapes, and take photos. I loved walking on Coumeenole Beach, and seeing Brendan Creek and the Conor Pass (I was glad I was not driving up the mountain!) Our family has Irish ancestry, and we wanted to learn more about the people of Ireland, past and present. Karen is so knowledgeable, and she helped us learn some of the history of the Dingle peninsula, and what it's like to live there today. Dingle is in a part of the country called the Gaeltacht, where the Irish language is prioritized so it can be preserved. It was interesting to hear about how children in the area have their classes in the Irish language, and Karen shared a few Irish language phrases with us. I was so glad I booked this tour. Also, we were traveling with an older person, and Karen was good about identifying which stops were going to be more or less manageable for our particular needs. For other travelers, I'd advise them to bring a bit of cash along, for lunch, and to go in to pet the baby lamb (a very small fee, and worth it).
We a really enjoyed this your and Des’ knowledge of the area was top notch. It was the best way to see the area. Weather was perfect which wasn’t the case for most of our trip.
We had a private tour for four people (two couples) with Karen. She drove us around the peninsula, stopping at several sites (after checking that we were interested in the location) and providing great information along the way. Karen is very passionate about hiking in the area and suggested several locations where we could get out fo the van for anything from a quick walk to some fairly strenuous “hikes” to the tops of hills with spectacular views in addition to the typical stops at beehive huts, ring forts, etc. This was so much better than just looping around to a pre-set list of locations because we did have a private group and Karen was able to tailor the day to our interests.
You won’t want to miss this beautiful scenery, and the historical sites. And you won’t want to drive it yourself, trust me we opted for the drive and hike combination. Our guide, Rory was happy to customize the trip along the way to stay longer or shorter times, depending on what we were interested in. The Cliffside views combined with the fresh air hiking and Rory’s great historical details provided us with the perfect day!
We greatly enjoyed our tour of the Dingle Penninsula with Rory and Colm! They were both expert guides, and with the beautiful weather we had helped customize our tour to get to spend as much time outside as possible. He also helped us avoid some heavy lunch crowds and still get a great meal. Thanks guys!
Colm was an excellent t guide! He grew up in the area and had lots of interesting tidbits about the area and knew everyone! The stops on the full day private tour were varied, fun, and a great slice of life and scenery in the area. Even though he e we’re in the car awhile, it did not feel like to! I highly recommend this tour.
Rory spent four days driving our family of six around Killarney, the Dingle Peninsula, Clffs of Moher and Galway. He was an excellent, safe driver and made the trip stress free. He had terrific dining recommendations and we all learned from his insight and stories. He made it a trip we will never forget.
My wife and I had a great day private tour with Dingle Slea Head Tours yesterday. It was a highlight of our visit to Dingle. The reservation process was very straightforward and Rory answered all my advance questions very quickly and efficiently. Our guide, Colm (which I may be misspelling) was wonderful. He picked us up at our hotel on time to the minute and was a delight to spend the day with. He is a fount of knowledge about the area, took us to lots of places we wouldn’t have found ourselves (several on narrow roads that we would not have wanted to try and drive ourselves) and went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. The tour was a great combination of spectacular scenery and local history. Highly recommended.
Outstanding! Our guide, Colm, was super knowledgeable and funny. We loved it! Highly recommend this company.
Recently my wife & I treated ourselves to a full-day private tour of the Dingle Peninsula with Rory. Having done all of the driving on our vacation thus far, it was a real pleasure to sit back and take in all the sights. Being a local, Rory gave us insights and took us to places other tour guides might not. He allowed us to tailor the day as we saw fit, making suggestions but not pushing us. We were out of the car often, walking/hiking to spectacular beaches, vistas and ruins. Rory even went out of his way to return a cell phone to us that was accidentally left in the car at the end of the day. I highly recommend this tour! -Joe Knab
One of the absolute highlights of our trip! The Dingle Peninsula is just breathtaking with amazing scenery around every turn. Our tour was great because of our wonderful guide Des. He was such a pleasure to chat with. He was so knowledgeable and full of stories. We never ran out of things to talk about and appreciated his love for the area. Must do activity!
Rory was our tour guide and did a great job. He is from Dingle and was nice to hear his knowledge of the town and the surrounding areas. We were able to see the sights listed and he stopped along the way to get photos. The only critique of the tour is the cost. We had other private tours on this trip of the same length and caliber and believe the cost of this tour was not in line with those.
We were picked up at our hotel in Dingle on May 29 by Rory. His local knowledge, experience, and flexibility were unparalleled. We toured all the most important places on the Slea Head tour but it was tailored to our interests. Rory was simply the best at finding the most interesting places to stop. It did not hurt that the weather was perfect. CANNOT RECOMMEND HIGHLY ENOUGH!
Husband and I toured for several days with Colm of Dingle Slea Head Tours. This is really the best way to tour, we could just focus on the scenery and having fun while Colm did the driving and planning, all the while entertaining us with history and stories and answering all my questions! Colm picked us up in Galway, took us along the Cliffs of Moher and the Burrens to Dingle, where we stayed for four nights. We toured with Colm for 3 and 1/2 days in all, including the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring and at the end, he dropped us off in Killarney for our next adventure. Colm really tailored our experience to our own preferences; the first day he asked us what in particluar we wanted to see and do, how are we with lunch and bathroom breaks, etc. and he planned things out well to accomodate whatever we liked. We would always show up a few minutes early in the morning and he was always there already waiting for us. He also made wonderful suggestions for things to do and see on our own in Dingle and Killarney. Colm was just a lovely gentleman and we had such a good time with him! He took us places and showed us things we never would have been able to see on our own. He knows the roads, the people and the area like the back of his hand, I think. I initially contacted Rory of Dingle Slea Head Tours to set up our tour plans and he really came through, everything was perfect. Such a great trip! Thank you!!
Colum made the entire day very enjoyable!! He went out of the way to pick us up at our AirBNB. Great host!!
We had a great day with Colm. He listened to what we wanted to do, showed us some additional gems, and shared tidbits of the Irish history. Overall was a beautiful and fantastic day! Thank you!!!
We had an amazing and very informative tour. Our guide was such a pleasure to spend the day with, by the end we felt like family. Would highly recommend and encourage this tour.
What a great full day tour of the Dingle Peninsula. Rory, our tour guide, was local to the area and so knowledgeable. He was so laid back with our group of 6 (3 adults, 2 teens, and a three year old!) we never felt rushed and had plenty of time to explore and take pictures. Rory did an amazing job of telling us about the area and the history without overloading (or boring us) with information and just letting us enjoy ourselves. We did a full day tour and I don’t think we were ever in the car for more than 10 minutes. Lots of beautiful stops! A great lunch stop at a pub the locals seem to frequent. A tour we will all remember.
Seeing the great views and getting fun facts Got close up to all the beautiful landscapes and driver Pauly gave insights from a local view
We had an amazing day trip around the Dingle peninsula from Killarney! Our tour guide Collum was great! He is a local to Dingle so was able to show us all the most beautiful spots! He even recommended a place for lunch and made us a reservation. We had a lovely time! Would definitely recommend this company and our guide! Perfect way to see everything without having to worry about the stress of driving ourselves or big tour buses.
We had a fantastic full day tour of the Dingle peninsula with Colm as our driver. He is very knowledgeable about the area and quite a lot of fun to be with! We had plenty of time in Dingle to have lunch and do a little exploring. The scenery of the Peninsula is absolutely beautiful. He made a number of stops and we never felt rushed. Such a fun day. We loved Dingle! I would highly recommend this tour.
Rory took great care of us on our day trip around the Dingle Peninsula. He was prompt, super friendly, and knowledgeable about not only Ireland but also the US. He amended the tour bases on our interests and suggested beautiful walks and viewpoints! Thank you!!
Perfect!!!!!! We had a wonderful time on our tour!!! Rory was so informative, really fun, and so flexible with what we wanted to see. Everything was so simple from booking to confirmation the day before. We highly recommend this tour!!!
Judy was our guide, and she was delightful. We didn't want to drive some of the very narrow parts of the Peninsula and we were happy that Judy was at the wheel. We learned a lot about the history of the area, had a coffee at a cafe with an AMAZING view, scrambled up to see lakes, and so much more. Highly recommended.
We had the greatest time with Colm our tour driver. He had so much knowledge and was so kind to our family. He gave us great advice for after our tour. I would highly recommend this tour, well worth the money!
We had a magnificent day on the Dingle Peninsula with Rory!! He taught us so much about the things we were seeing and the Irish culture. He was kind, funny, and personable. He showed a true passion for Ireland and where he comes from. We had been in Europe for about three weeks at the time of our tour and this was a highlight for us! We were able to see things that were on our bucket lists which definitely lived up to our expectations. We loved getting to feed the baby lambs! My mom is currently working on her resume to quit her job and be a nanny in Dingle (inside joke with Rory). Definitely book with this company, you won’t regret it! We will be back again soon and will definitely reach out to Rory for another tour/recommendations!
We had the best time with Rory. He was a wonderful guide and taught us so much about the area - most of all that we just can't wait to come back. Two nights in Dingle just isn't enough. We really appreciated his kindness and his knowledge - chatting with him felt like chatting with an old friend. We truly can't wait to return and will absolutely book a trip with Dingle Slea Head Tours again. It's a MUST if you are in the area.
Our tour guide, Colm, was excellent! He brought us to beautiful places for the whole day and kept us informed and entertained! I highly recommend this as a great way to see the Dingle Peninsula!
We spent three days with Rory and could not have been happier with the experience. Rory is friendly and knowledgeable. The communication before the trip was very good. He was quick to respond to questions. We arranged to have Rory pick us up at Dromoland Castle and drive to Dingle. We did the Dingle Peninsula tour and the Cliffs of Moher tour. The Dingle Peninsula tour was great, Rory assured us throughout the day that we should take as much time as we wanted at each stop. The tour was a nice combination of cultural points of interest and scenic views. We fell in love with the peninsula over the course of the day. The fact that Rory is local also made the tour feel more authentic because he was able to relate different locations with his own experience. The Cliffs of Moher trip was a great way to get from Dingle to Galway. Rory knows a convenient parking lot that allowed us to get right up onto the cliffs and make the most efficient use of our time. Rory also had good tips about where to get the best views (and where the views were not as good). The drive through the Burren to Galway was nicely timed. We stopped often enough to see interesting sites, but not too often. The combination of services and tours Dingle Slea Head Tours offers allowed us to avoid renting a car. That made the whole trip so much more enjoyable.
Our driver was Paudy (not sure on spelling). He was amazing. It was like taking a Sunday drive with family. He took us to places off the beaten path. If you get a chance ask for Paudy.
We had a magical day basking in amazing scenery and enjoying Paulie's wonderful introduction to all things in Dingle past and present. We stopped at local places, held a baby lamb, enjoyed a fabulous toastie in a pubwith the best signs, walked on the beach, and walked around Dingle. Thanks so much for a fabulous day.
This was an absolutely fantastic trip. We saw so much and the tour guide was very informative and engaging. Definitely would recommend!
Colm was awesome! We spent 4 days in total with him, he was always on time, polite and knowledgeable & good humored! All of the hotels Rory recommended were also great, couldn’t have asked for a better time, can’t wait to return !
Our tour guide, Rory, was spectacular from start to finish. He showed up at our hotel right on time, accommodated our request to wear a mask while indoors, and made every effort to make us feel welcome. He interspersed lots of great information about Dingle history and modern day life on the peninsula. Rory enthusiastically answered all of our endless questions and tailored the tour to our interests. We would absolutely take a tour with him again!
We had wonderful day tour! Rory was very accommodating and brought us to nice spots and breathtaking views
Rory was a wonderful tour guide and we had an excellent day tour. His car was clean and comfortable.
Rory is a delightful and an excellent guide. The tour was breathtaking and he was very patient. 👍👍
Though it was what the locals call a ‘moody’ day I loved my tour with Colum. We stopped at several great spots and I learned a lot of interesting history and local lore. When I return I will definitely enjoy another day with Rory and his team!
