Superb. Omari, our guide was awesome. Excellent English, very knowledgeable about the local ecology and also so relaxed. He was very attentive and caring too, making sure we all had a first rate experience. I would definitely recommend this trip. The sunset was gorgeous and we were all chillaxed.

Omari was very knowledgeable about the animals around the kongo river, we learned so much about the ecosystem and history. He was also very accommodating, patient, gave us the best views for photos and taught us the Kenya welcome song. Kongo river is a must visit in Diani and the sunset is especially beautiful.

This is a very mellow canoe trip. Our guide was great. It’s a slow trip up the river and back down. Time to view and listen to the wildlife - lots or birds and bush babies. We could also hear traditional music and singing if a celebration in the woods. It was a nice evening.

Omari was an amazing captain/guide on the canoe tour! He has a lot of knowledge about everything there is to know about the mangroves, the different species of birds, monkeys, etc. The unfortunate part was that it was a rainy day so the sunset wasn’t too amazing but we still got lucky with a little sunset which was great! I highly recommend this tour as it is almost like a meditation trip in itself.
The experience was amazing from the beginning to the end. Sham was kind and shared a lot about Travel4Purpose's mission to give back to society. We had a calming, almost meditative sail in the Kongo Strait where we spotted different kinds of mangrove trees and a variety of bird species. Our guide, Omar, was very informative and intentional about how he wanted us to enjoy. The sunset was so amazing that no one wanted to leave. Omari was a wonderful and knowledgable guide. Like many touristic activities in the area, you have many choices of boat and guide, but that doesn'e mean you get the same experience. I would highlighy recommend going with this one for a beautiful, educational tour through the mangroves, where safety, respectful engagement with the environment, and a comprehensive understanding of the area and its communities are a priority!
The experience was great. Amori, our guide, had the background knowledge of the Mangroves very well and was interesting to here about it. He followed through until we had the transport back to our place which was very nice as well.

I had a wonderful canoe ride down the Kongo River. My tour guide Omari was super nice and very knowledge about the different mangrove and baobab trees and birds along the bank. It started raining about halfway through the ride (to be expected during rainy season) but we pulled over to a rest area on the bank to wait out some of the rain under the trees and a man gave me a coconut which was very nice. Riding back in the light rain was still very nice, especially with the sun setting. Omari also took a lot of pictures of me throughout the ride which was great as a solo rider. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.

We had a fantastic trip with the boat at the beautiful kongo river with Omari. He showed us the beautiful animal life along the river and explained a lot about the nature. It’s was very interesting to learn about the nature and the life along the river. Omari as well was very kind to check that we manage to catch the driver back to the hotel.

We did two activities with T4P and both were lots of fun. The beaded bracelet workshop was very insightful and gave us a new appreciation for the work that goes into making the bracelets. We had a lot of fun together and learnt a lot. The Kongo river sunset dhow cruise was very relaxing and also educational as we got to learn about the different types of mangroves, birds, trees and much more as we enjoyed the views and the sunset. Highly recommend T4P for any activities you may be planning.
Beautiful excursion but the 28€ for this experience we believe is way too much for only the river cruise. When we arrived we discovered this beautiful restaurant Estuary Beach Lounge located right on the river. There we found the same exact Sunset river excursion for 5000ksh (Kenyan Shillings) including a full dinner with main course and drinks. We stayed for dinner that night and the food was amazing. Very recommended to book through Estuary. Easy to find on Google and very honest. Their phone number is +254748325156

A beautiful and absolutely recommendable tour! We already booked the trip from Germany, and the entire communication went absolutely smoothly and easily. The trip through the mangroves on the Congo River was a very special experience. The silence on the water is almost magical and invites you to enjoy nature to the fullest. During the tour, you learn many interesting and worth-knowing facts about the mangroves and the local wildlife. The absolute highlight for us was the dreamlike sunset, which made this trip a very special experience. We can recommend this tour without reservation! A wonderful experience. We were politely met at the agreed location. Our guide Omari was great, he knew a lot to tell about the area and the animals that live there. He gave us plenty of time to take photos and look at everything up close. On the way back it was dark and quiet, with the sound of a bird being very relaxing. Omari then neatly guided us back to where our taxi was waiting. I can really recommend this canoe trip 100%.

Very pleasant boat tour on the Congo River. We saw some birds, crabs, and lungfish, and Omari explained everything expertly. The sunset was the most beautiful part 🌅 We took a Tuk-Tuk from the hotel (be sure to negotiate beforehand, as the drivers otherwise demand excessively high prices). It was our last day of vacation, making it a wonderful conclusion. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and very suitable to relax and just enjoy nature. Watching with the trunk through the river and lots of birds and other animals is just great. Our boatman Josef also explained a lot to us and when he then steers the boat so calmly with the staff through the river, you come to rest very well.
