3 Days Safari To Mikumi Np - Accommodation Inside The Park

The tour was - in one word - great! The tour guide Mansoor was transparent, helpful and kind, and most importantly, he knows all about the wild life and anything you might ask him on the way. The tour was very reasonably priced and we never felt unsafe or out of place, Mansoor made sure of that. The tour itself across the Mikumi national park was great, tour guides constantly communicate where certain animals are located, giving you the perfect chance to catch some known hide-and-seek animals. While the park itself has changed due to human activities inside the park (such as building an aiport??!), meaning animals are a bit scarcer than they used to be, you will still be amazed by the things you will see. All in all, definitely recommend.

We had such an amazing experience with African Pangolin Safaris! As a group of female students, we really appreciated how safe and comfortable we felt during the whole trip. We compared many safari prices before booking, and this was honestly one of the fairest and most affordable options we found. The food was good, the accommodation was nice, and the entire day was exciting from start to finish. We saw so many animals — even lions mating! A special thank you to our guide Mansoor. He helped us arrange our bus tickets for the next journey, waited with us, and made us feel very safe and cared for the whole time. We truly hope our paths cross again someday ❤️

We had an incredible safari experience from start to finish! Mansoor was helpful and responsive during the planning process. Our guide and driver, Yunus, went above and beyond to make this safari so unforgettable. He worked hard to find animals by tracking movements and knowing what time of the day certain animals are more active. We were a group of 3 girls and he made us feel completely comfortable and safe the entire time. It was clear the safety of the animals was also one of his priorities. Elephants were drinking water near the road so we waited and watched from a safe and respectful distance so the elephants didn’t leave the watering hole. My group got to watch and admire the elephants the entire time. Yunus taught us about each animal we saw, which included elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, warthogs, impalas, wildebeest, jackals, hippos, crocodiles, and so many bird species. We stayed in the park where there were so many monkeys—very entertaining to watch. Accommodations, food, staff, and security were all good. On the way back we got to visit a Maasai village which I would recommend including when planning out the safari. It was an opportunity to learn about parts of Tanzania’s culture. I cannot recommend this safari company enough. It was the absolute highlight of our time in Tanzania! Thank you, Mansoor and Yunus!

We did the 3 day Mikumi Safari and Massai Village with Accommodation in Camp Bastian wich is only 15 minutes from the main entrance. We booked with Mansoor who was very friendly and answered all questions. Our tourguide and driver Mike was the best we could wish us! The itinerary package was very helpful with the following feedbacks: 1. The price of the package is reasonable 2. Great accommodation including the full board meals for the entire stay. 3. Tour guide "Yunos" is very friendly and gave us a satisfying Safari experience in the national park. He provided insights about the behaviour of the animals and how they survived and taken cared of by the local. Great tour guide. Recommended for first timer for Safari adventure in Africa.

The safari was amazing. We had a great guide, Yunus, who was very dedicated to showing and explaining everything to us. He was very respectful towards the animals and always respected their space. The drive was very pleasant. We can highly recommend Pangolin Safari and would book with them again anytime. The option to be picked up and dropped off directly at our place of stay was very convenient for us.

Had read reviews for African Pangolin Safaris online and messaged asking for more details. Really impressed by all the information I received from Mansoor. Any enquiry was quickly answered and booking was simple with a small deposit to pay. Mansoor was so helpful and gave suggestions on where to stay prior to going on safari, afterwards, ferry company to use for Zanzibar etc. Nothing was too much trouble. Once in Dar Es Salaam, we were picked up early at agreed time by our friendly guide Mike. We then drove the 6-7 hour journey to Mikumi National Park stopping off for toilet and refreshments when required, and also for lunch. Mike was friendly and chatty and gave lots of information and was a careful driver. Mike was our guide for the full 3 day, 2 night safari and we can't recommend him enough. He showed us so many animals and as it was a private safari for the 3 of us he stopped for as long or as little as we wanted. We learnt so much and saw so many amazing animals and felt safe at all times. We stayed in a cottage inside the National park which was great to get the full experience and meant we could start our game drive early which was a great time for seeing the animals out and about. Would 100% recommend African Pangolin Safaris for great service, friendly people, value for money and an experience we'll never forget!

Wonderful experience. Our tour guide Mansoor was such a professional and kind operator. He wanted us to see as much animals as possibile and we really appreciated it. He told us a lot of thing about the savana, so interesting. He is very preparated and he seems loving his work so much. He helped us with everything we needed. The price was right in our opinion. we had booked a 3 day safari and were picked up from our hostel on time. Our guide Yunus introduced himself, we spent the next 3 days with him, he drove us to the national park and did the game drive with us. after a long drive we arrived at our bungalow accommodation in the middle of the national park. first we were greeted by the monkeys and two warthogs, which stood right in the garden and ran around freely. During the night a ranger was on site for our safety. We can wholeheartedly recommend African pangolin safari. we were two girls and felt comfortable the entire time. we were completely alone with the game drives and were able to direct all our wishes to Yunus, who really was a top-class guide. he had a lot of knowledge about the animals, was very nice and has a lot of know-how. so we were able to spot a few animals completely alone, such as a large family of lions. and most importantly it was all very ethical, the engines were turned off for the animals so as not to disturb them and they were not harassed. Big thanks to Yunus and african pangolin safaris for making our dream come true to see the big 5 and much more (also a 🐆). we would always come back.

We have a great time at Mikumi NP. Our guide Yunus was the best. We saw many animals. Yunus had the ability to find the animals from 400m away. It was a great time.

We took the 3-day 2-night Mikumi/Udzungwa tour from African Pangolin. We were originally booked for this tour in May 2020, but all travel fell apart with the coronavirus, and we had to cancel. Mansoor from Pangolin was great with communication leading up to our 2020 ticket, and then also when the trip got cancelled. We stayed in touch, and when 2023 gave the green light for the tour, we booked again with Pangolin and were very glad to finally be able to make the safari. Mansoor is professional, prompt, and personal in setting up the experience. Highest recommendation. Our driver/guide for the safari and trekking adventure was Zakaria. He speaks English very well, is a great driver, and has very deep knowledge of biology, particularly of the large animals, birds, and plants. Zakaria is a personable guy who made for great company for three days. The Land Cruiser we rode in is a very tough vehicle that could handle all the road conditions. Everything was very safe. The safari itself was a fantastic experience. It was the late stage of the rainy season, but we were fortunate that we didn't have rain. The park was almost empty of people, and just full of the big animals. They were everywhere; very little time passed between encounters. I suppose we were quite lucky, but the adventure was everything we could expect and more. Many, many giraffes and zebras, sometimes together. Impala, eland, water buffalo, warthogs, baboons, wildebeest, jackals, crocodile, monkeys, hippopotamus, many birds. Two lions together, right next to our vehicle, that we observed for a long time. Close-range elephants. Amazing looks from the Land Cruiser, with plenty of time for observation. The hike up to the falls in Udzungwa NP the next day was very nice, if a little challenging on the way up. It's a long drive to and from the parks, so we had a chance to see a lot of village life in rural Tanzania that one does not see in Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar City. The mid-range accommodations were quite comfortable, and the meals were very good. Safaris are quite expensive, but this 3-day expedition was good value for the money. Great driver/guide, great service, reliable company.

We think this is the experience you can’t miss in Tanzania. The road is long by car from dar es Salaam but this gives you the opportunity to see a bit of how the locals live and work. Our driver, Yunus, answered all our questions and with his experience helped us to see almost all the animals including the lions, a leopard, some crocodiles and hippos. We felt safe with him on the road and also near the animals.

Incredible 3 days at Mikumi NP. African Pangolin Tours were brilliant from start to finish. Mansoor was so helpful during the booking process, answering any questions I had quickly and providing loads of different options for accommodation and tours which worked with our dates, across a range of budgets. We were collected from and returned to Dar Es Salaam from our hotel and back to a hotel, it couldn’t have been easier. We chose to stay at the Vuma Hill Luxury Tented camp; all of the staff were so nice, the location, views and accommodation were perfect, not to mention great quality food, beers and wine. There was even a small pool, although we did not use it. The overall experience was great. Our guide Yunes was more than we could have asked for; knowledgeable, friendly and fun throughout. We loved that we had some flexibility around the times and whenever we asked to see a particular animal he did his best to do so, succeeding almost every time. Brilliant company, brilliant guide and really enjoyable few days!

We had such an amazing time at Mikumi! We were super lucky, we saw many animals, even lions on two different days! Our guide, Yunus, was super friendly and funny and helpful and had an answer to every question (and we had many!). We learned so much interesting stuff about the animals there! The lodge was amazing, it was very clean and the food was very good! I can recommend this safari to 100%!

We were simply lucky, lucky, lucky! Saw 4 lions (mama, 2 cubs, king lion) and a leopard during a morning ride! Guides were very skilled into finding them. All services were excellent: room location and facilities-perfect, pool-awesome after a hot day, professional explanations about spotted animals, great food, on time drivers! Also guides were kind enough to help us out with an additional stop at pcr testing facility at the end of the trip! Extraordinary experience, extraordinary people! I recommend their services!

Great experience from start to end. We had an all inclusive experience with game drive, acommodation and 3 meals. Our driver Kapale stopped at each animal to give us the opportunity to inspect it closely. He was so patient and explained us everything anout each animal: from pregnancy period, what it eats, its predators… really everything. The camp was so luxurious and during night time we had a lot of fun at the pool. Great food, excellent service. So happy we cooperated with Pangolin Safaris for this trip of 17 people.

We went as a family with 3 small kids and chose Mikumi as it is relatively close to Dar. The driver was excellent, and we had a very safe trip to and from the park. The good thing about the park is that a lot of animals stay close to the entrance, so the kids immediately saw elephants, impala, giraffe, zebra, storks and hornbills and at a near waterhole hippo’s and crocks. It was almost as going to a zoo. For the lions it took some more time, but we did see one at another waterhole which took some hours to get there as the riverbed was dry and the remaining sand too soft and fine for the big and heavy 4x4 to cross. At least if you don’t want to run the risk to get stuck. Almost no tourists or rangers around so we had it ‘all for ourselves’. The only thing we missed were the sundowners we always had in Southern Africa and give it just that little extra. The lodge, Vuma Hills tented camp, was definitely ok, but not as luxurious as their southern African colleagues. Food was ok, but nothing special. People as always super friendly, relaxed and welcoming. The trip was very well organized, so for sure we will recommend them (African Pangolin Safaris) to colleagues and friends.

This was one of the most awe inspiring trips we have ever done. First off our guide, Mansoor, was exceptional. We started our trip in Dar Es Salam, where he picked us up early in the morning on day one to drive us out to the park. Following arrival we ventured into Mikumi park were we were immediately greeted by many amazing animals. Following this we ventured up the hill to our amazing tent nestled in the jungle overlooking the African plains, this alone was a fantastic experience. The following day consisted of an early morning start, with a great breakfast followed by a drive through the park where we saw all kinds of great species in their natural habitats. Truly amazing to witness this first hand. Day 3 consisted of another great breakfast, and our last safari. Then Mansoor was gracious enough to drive us to the sea port to catch our ferry to Zanzibar to finish our trip off at the beach. All in all I rate this experience a 5 Guide - 5/5 Accommodations - 5/5 (foxes camp) - staff was 👍👍 Wildlife - 5/5 Thank you again for the great experience!

👍👍👍My mother(68)and I (40) were lucky enough to be the only one on this 3 day trip. So a Kind of private tour. It was fantastic.we saw really a lot of different animals and the peak was. 4 tiger ladies with 13 baby tigers. Thanks a lot also to the driver and guide. His name is Yunus, he is kind, a good driver and experienced safari guide. We felt very well cared for and safe with him. Thank you. 👎 The way back to DAR took us around more than 8 hours, reason a 3hours Roadblocking for to let pass a single car from the government 🤔 Generally the roadtrip is nothing for fearful people eg Many truck drivers who sometimes make dangerous overtaking maneuvers etc...

It was the most amazing experience of my life ! We passed 3 days in the national park of Mikumi. We passed nights inside the park. We saw lions, hippopotamus, zebras, elephants, warthogs, giraffes, aligators, lots of birds, buffalos etc.. Mansoor was our guide during this exeprience he was amazing, very interesting, he knows and explained us how the animals are living and where we could see them. He is respecting them a lot and is respecting their place of life. We felt in security with him. I will never forget this experience. We passed 3 days to see animals in the park. We had awesome 3 days in December in Mikumi national park. Our guide Yunus was very kind and knowledgeable in guiding us through the park. We enjoyed spotting a lot of animals in a gorgeous savannah landscape surrounded by mountains in the distance. Lodges inside the park were comfortable. We had an amazing time in mikumi national park! We were two couples traveling together and our safari turned out to be an adventure we'll never forget ♥️ First of all Mansoor is an amazing guide; calm, knowledgeable, engaged and considerate. He was also very patient when there was a chance to see an animal which was very exciting. Also we were extremely lucky! We got to see LOT'S of lions; male, females and a lot of cubs! Also we saw a leopard that walked right beside the car! Amazing. ♥️ Would recommend this to everyone 😊😊

My wife and I took this tour and had a great time. Plenty of animals to see in various habitats. The drive from Dar es Salaam was long, but the trip was worth it. Eric was and excellent guide and was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour.

We decided to do a 3 day Safari in Mikumi national park. Our driver was Yunus, a great guide. He is really kind and cares about your needs and wishes. We had a lot of fun and have seen many animals, even really close because he took the time if we spotted animal and he explained a lot about the animals and their behaviour and everything. All in all its worth every penny. Th place where we stayed was beautiful as well. They served delicious food and everyone had its own bungalow. The accommodation even had a large swimmingpool. You are going to enjoy if you book the tour.

I took my family on this short but sweet safari, and all of our expectations were excedeed. Mr Ezekiel was our tour guide and even if it was a long drive and the road from Dar es Salaam to Mikuni was a bit ''funky'', we did not even once brake any rules, so we all felt really safe and could relax. Inside the park he was really trying to get the best views of the animals and also gave us enough time to take good photos. I recommend!

I went on 3 days safari to Mikumi National Park Tanzania,though it was a group tour but was beyond expectation. From first contact with Mr manzoor, who helped more book the trip,everything was easy to arrange and so helpful. Our amazing guide,Yunus, then picked us up from colosseum hotel in Dar es salaam right as per the agreed time. Throughout the 3 days,he went so far out of his ways to make sure we had the best trip. He knows so much about the areas.We saw many animals and beautiful sceneries than we ever thought we would.I can not emphasize enough because it was more than fantastic and beyond our expectation. I can highly recommend African Pangolin Safaris and 3 Day trip to Mikumi! Booking process was easy. We were group of 3 and had a private safari with our driver Mike. Mike was great and funny guide and he made our trip more amazing, thank you! We saw many animals like Lions, leopards, elefants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, buffallos, monkeys, colourful birds eg. Mike had a sixth sense where we could find the lions and there they were! Mikumi was nice and there were only a few car in the whole park at same time, so it felt like we had the whole park to ourselves and we saw other cars only couple times.

The safari trip was absolutely amazing. The animals, the trees and offcourse our driver/guide was the best. He really tried to show us a lot of different animals and also he told us a lot about them, how do they live, what do they eat, so it was educational also. It was everything I expected. I defenetely recomend.

We went for a three day safari in Mikumi and it was amazing. We slept inside the park in beautiful apartments. The food was also good. We saw a lot of animals (elephant, giraffe, impala, gnu, buffalo, lion, hippo, crocodile, zebra) despite it was a rainy season. The scenery was green and beautiful. Our guide Emanuel was excellent, he knew so much about the animals and trees, we learned a lot from him. The price was good. I would definately recommend you this agency.

Just wonderful!!!! We were on a 3 day trip to Mikumi Park and were very lucky to have a guide who himself still enjoyed "searching and finding" as much as we did. It could not have been nicer, again "asante sana"!

The safari with Mike our local safari guide was our absolute highlight. We were able to get a deep impression of life in Tanzania through the tour. Mike has always made us feel safe.

Organization on top. Akonina was really an exceptional guide, he knows where to see even rare animals. Always listening and very respectful of the wildlife and the flower even the rules of the road 😂. He gave us a lot of information about animals, their lives, customs and the lives of Tanzanians. He gave us a cake and a bottle of wine for our wedding anniversary which touched us. Thank you.

A truly incredible experience! We booked a 3-day safari with accommodation inside the park. Our guide Yunes was very professional, took us out on the outings later than the majority of groups, which meant that we had peace of mind in the park. We were able to enjoy the animals to the fullest. We recommend without hesitation!

Great experience with our Mansoor guide! I certainly had the best experience of my young life and it was thanks to him. Fin connoisseur of safari It allowed me to take extraordinary photos of animals sometimes difficult to have because fearful (Leopard, Leo, etc...) When he came to pick us up in Dar es Salaam we wanted to stop at a grocery store to pick up some cookies and then when he left he asked us how much we had bought our items and then he immediately went back to the grocery store to collect the difference that the cashier had made us pay. So honestly that says a lot about the person be benevolent  ~Thank you Mansoor the best driver of Africa~
