Our driver will pick you from your hotel and transfer to Dar es Salaam SGR train station for electric train to Morogoro Town which depart at 0600am and arrives at 0750am. On arrival you will meet your driver guide who will drive you to Mikumi NP after breakfast. Drive to Mikumi NP will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. On arrival in Mikumi NP you will start with game drive and after few hours you will have break for lunch. After lunch you will proceed with game drive up to 15:00pm, and then drive back to Morogoro SGR train station for your train to Dar es Salaam which depart at 0720pm and arrives at 0910pm. On arrival in Dar es Salaam you will meet our driver who will transfer you to your hotel. Mikumi NP was established in 1964 covering an area of 1070 square kilometers; it was later extended in 1975 to cover the current area of 3,230 square kilometers. The park is the seventh largest National Park in Tanzania and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam throughout the year.
If you only have time for a 1 day safari, this is a great option. This staff took great care of us. They communicated well with us. They made sure we got from the hotel to the train station. The guide (Mike) was waiting for us with a sign when we arrived. Food provided was good. Mike made sure we saw as much wildlife as we could, and he was engaging in conversation.
We enjoyed 1 Day Safari From Zanzibar with direct flight to Mikumi.. Top organized by flash tour. The Land Rover Jepp and our guide Gerald and the driver were superb just during this 6 to 7 hours trip on the safari tour. It was unforgettable.
Be forewarned, the drive is very long! But if you only have a day in Dar, hard to imagine a better experience. Saw nearly every type of wildlife you could imagine, from Elephants to giraffes to baboons and hippos! Stopped for food twice and the drive itself was very interesting! My driver was incredibly friendly and attentive. Would recommend a longer safari if possible, but the best you can do for one day!
It was my firsr time Safari in Africa and it went very well i have enjoyed the journey and the park itself where a lot of wild animals were there for me first time to meet them that close ... the tour guide Mike was extremely welcoming and knowledgable as well very friendly ... amazin overall experience
Amazing experience! Thanks to Yunus, everything was taken care of very well. He was very friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. I had only one day but he did really a great job and I was able to see many wonderful animals and places, thanks a lot for the wonderful tour!
We have recently done this safari and it really was an outstanding experience. We were unlucky at first because two times the tour was cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions but in the end we made it, thanks also to the extraordinary flexibility and friendliness of the operator. Despite the weather and the ongoing rainy season, we managed to see most of the animals incl. several lions and a leopard. The communication with African Pangolin Safaris was very friendly and open. Due to two cancellations, the communication was very intense and at all times the operator was responsive, reliable and forthcoming. I can really fully confirm that we were provided an outstanding service. We chose African Pangolin Safaris in the first place for its good reviews and their rates which were competitive compared to other offerings. The service was top-notch and can only recommend them!
Great day, the car ride is long, so just be sure the car has A/C bc the truck exhaust in the drive is brutal

This was our second time on an African safari. Yunus, our guide/driver was excellent. He was punctual, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient and an excellent driver. Yunus made sure we were able to see all the animals on our wish list. It was an exhilarating day for us, one we will remember forever. Where do I start! I was a little bit skeptical to book online as the guy in my resort selling safaris told me it was a scam, and it couldn’t possible be under $1000. I trusted my instinct and continued with it, and I haven’t looked back. From the very beginning the customer service was incredible, and we were booked in with ease. Everything ran so smoothly, we were collected on time from our hotel, and it was clearly run well at the airport too… when we arrived in Mikumi, each driver was waiting for us to arrive with our names on pieces of paper and we were soon off. I found it amazing that each safari guide asked us our favourite animals and from that endeavoured to make sure we saw them! The lunch was amazing and we saw every animal we possibly could, with amazing views!!! I feel so fortunate to have experienced this, and will be recommending this company to everyone who is looking to do a safari in Tanzania.
This has been my first safari in an african national park and it was wonderfully exciting. The safari was a memorable snapshot for me and Mt daughter. The day started early. 4 am to be exact. That's the time we were picked up by our driver and Guide Yunis who was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable. The day trip worked out perfectly for us as we only had 3 days left in Tanzania. We started seeing different species of animals as soon as we got into the park but before the .ain gate which was 15 minutes away. First there was the baboon families, the warthog from Lion King, them the giraffes, impala ND more. But it was when we saw the lions in the park, a lioness and four large cubs that stile the show. We continued to several watering holes where we saw hippos, crocs and water Buffalo. Yunus was great. We stopped and brought fruit along the highway. Watermelon, mango, tomatos,, all freshly grown and organic. I forgot to mention the breakfast stop along the way where we had spaghetti with bell peppers, onions, no sauce or meat, a cabbage dish with chicken, a boiled egg and plantains. All were flavorful and great. Overall I highly recommend the day trip safari. It's worth every moment of it.
This was an experience of a lifetime! The 1 day trip was most convenient for our travels and we lucked out seeing 3 lions throughout our tour! Quite a few elephants and many more. Our tour guide Kassim was amazing and professional. He picked us up on time at 4am to assure we got to the park in time to have a full day and make our way back to Dar es Sallam by the evening. The restaurant on the premises was delicious and had beer available as well. The staff was super friendly and had a few places to purchase souvenirs. The day was literally flawless and was the perfect end to our Tanzania trip. Be sure to download whatsapp for prompt communication with the company after booking.
We booked a day tour with African Pangolin Safaris. They were very responsive and organized a tour for us only one day ahead of our inquiry. It was a wonderful experience! Our tour guide and driver was Yunus. He is very knowledgeable of both animals and plants and the Mikumi Park and area in general. The road and traffic from Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi is very busy and crowded and the travel takes some time and effort - Yunus also did that part like a pro, always calm and careful. I wholeheartedly recommend African Pangolin Safaris, great agency and great people!

Nixon was a very good guide! He was able to answer all of our questions and we were able to see all of the possible animals. He even spotted a leopard, even though it was hiding in a tree hundreds of meters away. He wanted to make the day unforgettable for us and he definitely succeeded. Beautiful day, guides with little care and listening. Jeep suitable for taking stunning photos. Seamless zanzibar Mikumi air transfer. As soon as we arrive we are taken care of and kind. Unlimited water, fruit juice and biscuits. Good and varied meals, rice, sauce and lots of vegetables, 2 meats. Bananas and watermelons for dessert. We've seen almost every animal
We had a fantastic day on 8.1.23 with a very nice guide (unfortunately I don’t remember his name) from Africa Pangolin Safaris. We drove for about 10 hours and had 4+ hours in the park where we saw incredibly many animals. Highly recommended.
