Begin your journey in Zanzibar, flying with domestic flight to Mikumi National Park, known for its Mkata flood plains, reminiscent of the Serengeti. Upon arrival at Kikoboga Airstrip, you'll be greeted by our driver-guide, who will outline the day's activities. Commence a game drive through the Mkata flood plains, a hotspot for wildlife viewing, where you may encounter elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and possibly predators such as hyenas, leopards, and lions. The area is also a habitat for the Sable Antelope, Great Kudu, and Eland, the world's largest antelope. Enjoy a midday hot lunch before further exploring the park. The afternoon features a visit to the renowned Hippo Pool, a gathering place for various wildlife. The day ends with a drive back to the airstrip for your domestic flight return flight to Zanzibar, carrying memories of the day's adventures.
Excellent trip Guide was Ashtides who was friendly, knowledgable and took time to ask us what animals we were hoping to see and then did his best to find them We had time to take photos without rushing Whilst there were lots of jeeps in the national park it was never busy or crowded. We really did just observe the animals in their natural habitat - fantastic

Our guide, Moses and driver Frederick wrre fantastic. Moses had indepth knowledge about the park and the animals. We got to see elephants and their babies, zebras, giraffes, lions, antelopes, warthogs, hippos and all really close. We had one of the best days of our entire lives. We had such a great time with our guide Moise and our driver Yoana. Moise took the time to explain to us everything we wanted to know and more. He let us took as many pictures as we wanted. Yoana stopper the jeep everytime we wanted to see something. The overall expérience was amazing !

we were collected from our hotel at 4am and driven to the airport (about 2 hours from Nungwi) Arrived at Mikumi national park around 7.30am and straight on a game drive, what a fabulous day !! we saw so many animals including baboons, lions, zebras, warthog, giraffes, elephants, impalas, monkeys, rhino we stopped for lunch and did a further game drive on the afternoon and flew back to zanzibar at 4pm. back at our hotel by 6.30pm A great taster of a safari Not sure if i would go on a full one now though as though i loved it i now feel i’ve done it,
Overall, a satisfactory safari. Able to see monkeys, baboons, lions, zebras, antelope, giraffes, buffalo, elephants, warthogs, and wildebeests. Pros - On time hotel pick up - Transportation to/from airport in comfortable, well air conditioned van - Saw lots of animals continuously and very up close - Knowledgeable, professional, and happy safari guide (Felix) - Comfortable safari jeep - Plenty of water and snacks available throughout day Ok - Lunch - average food offering - Lunch location was warm and unventilated Cons - Disorganized airport and boarding process - Return flight was unacceptably hot for the entire one hour flight with all passengers disembarking drenched in sweat - Subpar bathroom facilities with no running water, no toilet paper, and broken toilets
What an amazing trip!!! We went for the 1 day safari, it was perfect for us, we manged to see a family of elephants walk right behind our truck, got eye to eye with a lion and see a monkey scratch his bum right to the side of the vehicle! We had Oscar & Joseph as our guides, they were truly fantastic. Oscar was soo good with our little girl and indulged all her questions, she absolutely adored him! The safari trucks take a max of 7 people sland we had a great group of people in our truck so had the best day ever! Most definitely recommend and if you happen to get Oscar and Joseph as your guides, you are in for a great trip!!
Great experience with our german speaking Guide Innocent and our Driver Felix. Both very handsome and full of information. We saw many animals with elephants, Giraffs and lions included. Beautiful!

Just back from the 1 day safari. Had a fantastic day from start to finish. Our guides Aristides and Adam were amazing. We saw numerous animals including 3 of the big 5. We were able to get up close and got some great photos. Can’t recommend this day trip highly enough. Highlights were seeing baby elephants and baby warthogs!!
My family and I spent a day in Mikumi. The safari exceeded our expectations; we saw lots of animals during the drive and, thanks to the efforts of our guide Patrick, we were able to see them from incredibly close up. Patrick looked after us very well throughout the day, telling us lots of interesting facts, helping us with our photos, and thanks to his friendly and humorous manner, there was a very pleasant atmosphere all day long. Water and soft drinks were also available throughout the day. If I get the chance in future, I’d love to return to Mikumi :)

We booked a 1 day private tour, our guide was Aristides he was very knowledgeable and looked after us all day, from start to finish there was no stress. We had the best experience with Aristides and would highly recommend going on this tour. We seen lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants, buffaloes and many more and no need to zoom in for pictures we was that close. Many thanks to Aristides for a great day.

We went on a one day safari in Mikumi on August 7th with Arestides, and we had an amazing time! He is a very knowledgeable and kind guide who took great care of us throughout the day. He showed us giraffes, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, impalas, and, best of all, we were able to enjoy watching the lions for a long time! Arestides also took some beautiful pictures for us, which made the experience even more special. We are extremely happy and truly appreciate all his hard work and dedication. We went on a safari with our guides, Pascal and Emmanuel. It was a really wonderful day. We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, hippos, and crocodiles. Our guides always knew exactly where to drive to see the animals. We’d love to come back.

Our fly-in safari trip was everything we dreamt of and more! The whole trip was super smooth and professional from the very start (pick-up at hotell). Our guide Aristides was amazing and really service minded. We always made sure we were comfortable and hydrated. He found all the animals we wanted to see, and had so much knowledge to teach us about the animals and the environment in general. This was a 10/10 experience!

Our tour guide Fidels was great he tries his best to make the tour great experience. We were able to see 4 animals of the big fives. Our tour was 7 hours but we didn’t feel the time. Thee weather was so great.
This safari day exceeded all our expectations and gave memories that our family will treasure forever. Even though we made a very last-minute booking, everything was organised perfectly from start to finish. Our hotel-airport transfers were seamless and handled by such warm and friendly people. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, incredibly respectful of the animals and their environment, and great fun to spend the day with. We were in Mikumi yesterday and did the safari. There were two of us, me and my brother. We have seen almost all animals which was mainly due to the good tour guides. Inosence was called our guide he was very nice answered all questions and took time for things we wanted to see. He could speak German and English, which was very nice because we also come from Germany. Every now and then he also brought funny sayings that made the mood. The ride was very wild but our driver Joshua was very good and very professional. He took us everywhere well and safely and was also very nice. All in all, the trip was very good, very nice people and for the price I am more than satisfied. Above all, thank you Inosence and Joshua

the best safari experience ever, we had so much fun with our driver paschal and our tour guide innocent. they were both friendly, patient, talked to us all the time, explained everything perfectly. non of the animals went unnoticed, the both are very perceptive and pointed every thing to us. it was very important for them to make sure we had the best experience, reminded us to take pictures, stopped to make sure we get great shots and even helped us taking them. we were very lucky to see so many animals and be paired with such nice staff.

We booked the 1-day Mikumi Safari from Zanzibar through TripAdvisor, and the entire experience with Hola Africa exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Hola Africa organized absolutely everything – hotel pickup in Zanzibar, airport transfers, flights, and the safari itself – making the whole trip completely stress-free. Everything ran smoothly and exactly as planned. Our guide, Felix, was outstanding. He genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything on our wishlist and more. Thanks to his experience and constant communication with the other Hola Africa guides, we had incredible wildlife sightings: two lions, a lioness, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, crocodiles, monkeys, and several species of antelope. It really felt like the guides worked together as a team to give everyone the best possible safari experience. And then there is the nature… Words simply can’t do it justice. The landscapes, the wildlife, and the feeling of seeing these magnificent animals in their natural habitat created memories that will stay with us forever. I booked this trip spontaneously when I was having a vacation in Zanzibar and I totally recommend it! From hotel pickup, flight to Tansania, doing the safari, flying back and get dropped at the hotel again everything was perfect. Our guide for the safari was „Innocence“ and the driver was „Ali“. Make sure, that you get those two guys! Both were very encouraged to get the best experience for us and we were not disappointed. The comfort of the safari pickup (we were 6 people in it, but there is plenty of space as each row had 2 passengers) is great and a very cool experience without any glasses around you and direct sight and contact to the nature. During the safari we were able to see lions, elephants, zebras, crocodiles, hippos, impalas, monkeys, warthogs, pumbas, giraffes, bulls and I am sure I still forgot some animals. The admission fee related to the duration of the whole day is more than fair. This trip is the best for anyone who wants to have a very good safari experience during their relaxing vacation on Zanzibar.
The Tourguide Pascal was very good. Answered every question. Speaks german as well. Had so much fun with hin, also teached us some swahili.
