The Mivumo Hotel in Selous Game Reserve is amazing. The location allows guests to enjoy the best views in the Park, listen and see incredible animals at night when taking a rest at those incredible cottages. And the staff, they can't be more kind and at all times available to help! Food is also delicious. Just the best experience ever to celebrate the Silver Wedding with my husband and 4 children!
Very nice experience over all we enjoyed it, they was take care everything from picked us and start the exploring the park with cold water, juices, nuts and chocolate and mid of the journey we got a lunch to start second game fresh. Rooms: was clean and have very nice view on the river. Food: was very good they are giving full of meal. Very important thing you need to be ready for it to not effect on you: First: there are no WIFI in the room Second: could you see some insect or reptile which is expected because you are in open natural park without any walls around the hotel. Third: All roads are bumpy so maybe for some people is tiring.
My sister and I have just spent an incredible 3days here. The staff can't do enough for you and are so friendly and welcoming. Our driver/guide Richard knew the area so well and we saw so many animals and enjoyed a stunning breakfast beside a lake with Hippo s watching on . Then onto a Masai village to experience traditional welcome dances and then learn about traditional medicines and also was shown into one of their houses .once again so friendly and welcoming We couldn't recommend this lodge enough..... couldn't ask for anything more.
We had an amazing time at Serena Mivumo River Lodge in August 2022. The lodge is in a secluded and wonderful location just by the river, animals everywhere around! Our stay was surely exquisite thanks to all the kindly hearted staff members and guides! A special thanks to Richard, our guide for the three days ! Also, the food is great and the meals are very pleasant (special thanks to Jacob and Remy!). Great team. We had two lodges (1 for the parents and 1 for 3 children). They were great with an outstanding view on the River (amazing outside showers !). The services were perfect! We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel !!! 5⭐️/5⭐️!!!
MUST VIST CAMP IN SELOUS. A group of 8, 4 adults and 4 children (7,5,5,1) stayed here for 2 nights. What a magical unbelievable experience. The food is great and are all spoiled Dubai based travelers. We couldn’t believe the attention to detail from the chef. The rooms are really good. Perched on the side of the hill looking down on to the Rufishi river. It’s amazing. You see hippos and crocodile from your balcony! Which even has its own jacuzzzi, and are completely private! The rooms have air conditioning a safe and extra beds for children if needed. Staff are polite and friendly. Everything we asked for we got. Without exception. They have a presidential suite which has seen some VVIPs from across the world visit. It’s safe and a great midpoint to stay whilst you explore the SELOUS reserve. We also left our clothes we had used over the short visit. The staff were very happy and will use them. I personally took the details of one of the house keeping staff and I will send him a box of things we don’t use in the new year. Nothing goes to waste out here and people are grateful for everything. Definitely take the river safari. That was a trip of a lifetime. You will see so many animals from the river. We came here at the start of the Omicron outbreak. Do not fear this here. Could not have been further from my mind! There is a hundred things that could get you faster than Covid out here it’s just not an issue. In fact it helps you put things into perspective. We went a whole day in the Jungle without seeing another soul. The hotel is clean and very safe! Enjoy!
