After spending an entire month at this hotel, what stands out most is not a series of isolated mistakes, but a consistent lack of warmth and hospitality throughout the experience. One unpleasant interaction can happen anywhere. However, after several weeks, across different rooms, departments, and staff members, a pattern becomes difficult to ignore. Too often, simple and legitimate requests are met with visible annoyance or indifference, leaving guests feeling more like an inconvenience than genuinely welcomed. This is ultimately the main issue with the service culture here. The problem is not necessarily major incidents, but the constant accumulation of small interactions that create an atmosphere of discomfort and fatigue over time. Reception, particularly during evening check-ins, often felt cold and lacking in attentiveness. Housekeeping repeatedly disrupted rest in the mornings with excessive knocking and little awareness of guest privacy. Around the pool area, the atmosphere frequently felt unwelcoming, with staff appearing disengaged and reluctant to assist guests. Room service also lacked consistency. The same orders regularly arrived differently, requiring repeated follow-ups and explanations, which became unnecessarily exhausting during a long stay. The spa therapists themselves are technically skilled, but the overall experience still falls short of luxury hospitality standards. Interruptions during treatments, lights being turned on abruptly, and repeated exits from the room disrupted the sense of relaxation expected at this level. The core issue is the clear disconnect between the prices charged, the five-star positioning of the hotel, and the actual guest experience delivered on a daily basis. A true luxury hotel is not defined only by its architecture or facilities, but by the quality, warmth, professionalism, and consistency of its service. Unfortunately, after an entire month here, the overwhelming feeling is not comfort or attachment to the property, but simply relief to leave.

This place is awesome! It's right in the middle of everything, walking distance to all the action, and has an amazing sea view, pool, and a unique terrace and beach walk. My room, 114, had a huge terrace. The gym is decent, but could use more machines, and the service and check-in were super smooth.
Extremely pathetic service. I just arrived. Bathroom has many stains. I complain once , twice and thrice. Everyone say coming coming. Pathetic service. Manager told everyone is on training so sorry for that. Amazing response. Won’t recommend anyone. However my 4 nights money wasted
I visited Delta Hotel in Masaki, Dar es Salaam today 22/02/2026 at approximately 6:45 PM for a business meeting with my partner. At the entrance, we were charged TZS 50,000 to sit outside. No EFD receipt was issued for this payment. After entering, we found the outdoor area had very loud music, making it unsuitable for a professional meeting. Within about two minutes, we returned to the entrance and informed the staff that we could not stay. We had not ordered or consumed anything. The AGM suggested we sit inside the restaurant instead. However, we had specifically chosen the outdoor area for our meeting and did not wish to change location. We therefore requested a refund since we were leaving immediately. The refund was refused. The coupon was taken back, and neither a refund nor the coupon was returned to us. Charging an entry fee without issuing an EFD receipt, refusing a refund within minutes when no service was used, and retaining the coupon raises serious concerns about transparency and professionalism. Management should review this matter carefully.
We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Delta Hotel. The standard of the property exceeded our expectations – the rooms were comfortable, spotless, and elegantly furnished. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and always smiling, which made us feel very welcome from the very beginning. The food was excellent – fresh, diverse, and of truly high quality. Another highlight was the beautiful swimming pool with breathtaking views of the ocean, which made our stay even more special. We especially appreciate the support of the staff after we had an unpleasant incident at the neighboring hotel “Slipway.” The team at Delta Hotel showed us great professionalism and genuine care, proving that we had chosen the right place. This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at – I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience!
