Serenity Sigiri Resort

A touch of paradise! The host and his family gave us the warmest welcome in the world. The room was spacious and spotless. Despite being in the forest, there wasn’t a single ant or mosquito in the room. It had the most comfortable bed and pillows. We had a lovely balcony overlooking lush greenery. Breakfast was served on the balcony every morning at our preferred time, and was undoubtedly the best breakfast I’ve had in any hotel around the world. I had informed them in advance that I was coming to celebrate my birthday, so the entire family went all out to decorate the room, wished me happy birthday upon arrival and even baked a huge, delicious cake for me. This place will always be the most memorable stay of my life, and was better than any luxury Hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s basic and simple, and yet serene and ever so beautiful.

Privately owned guesthouse Host extremely welcoming, very caring and really went out of the way to make our stay comfortable. I have stayed in 5-7* hotels but the service and hospitality in this resort was far more superior than posh hotels. I will never forget this place as it has left a memorable experience for me

Very nice place to stay in Sigiriya. We were there for three nights and were very satisfied with the spacious and clean room as well as the great service by the family running the resort (especially the driving services in Sigiriya free of charge - even for the sunrise hike up Pidurangala rock). From the terrace you can hear the sounds of birds and other animals when having breakfast or just resting.

If you are looking for a comfortable place with good hospitality to stay overnight or couple of days, when planning your visit to Pidurangala and/or Sigiriya. Then this is a place that can be recommended. The rooms are well maintained with all basic amenities, AC, hot water, mini fridge, kettle and clean linen. Owner Sanath is a nice guy, and supporting such small businesses is a worthy cause.
