The hike was soo beautiful and Rocky was an amazing guide!!
Didn't like having to wake up early, but it was worth it! The hike up the mountain was a little challenging, but manageable. Rocky and his team did a great job of setting us up for an excellent time & view. The location was very peaceful with very few tourists. If your foodie, you won't be disappointed with the breakfast arrangements Rocky made. Super local and delicious!
Definitely a must go in Dalat! The whole trip is really interesting, after a hike, you can see the sun rise and the sea of clouds very clearly on the mountain top, with comfort hot tea and grilled croissants. Rocky will also take wonderful pictures and videos for you to recall the memory anytime. The local breakfast after the hike is also wonderful! (Truly love it 🤤)
This is a MUST DO in Dalat. It was such an amazing, breathtaking experience guided beautifully by Rocky. Everything was thought about in detail, adding to the experience. Would 100% recommend to everyone if you're in the area
An amazing experience! Beautifull view and a nice hike. Rocky is amazing and gave a lot of tips for the rest of my trip in Da Lat!
Rocky is amazing! His english is fantastic and his knowledge on this mountain and Dalat's history rock solid. Second time visiting here and truly one of my best tours ever here.
My favourite experience in Dalat :) Rocky is an excellent host - friendly, knowledgeable and gentle. The hike and view were beautiful and the breakfast afterwards delicious! Would highly recommend :)
I went on this tour with my brother and the experience was genuinely out of this world. A relatively short hike, around 800m, with only 1 - 2 steep parts. Rocky took breaks in between the hike to ensure everyone was able to keep up, explaining unique and niche knowledge on things about Da Lat, the mountain and our surroundings. At the top we had delicious croissants, traditional Vietnamese coffee and some tea. Rocky offered to take a lot of photos for us which he shared while we watched the sunrise sitting down. I cannot explain that the photos do not do the experience justice! The lunch after was also delicious and was at a traditional local shop. I would recommend this tour to everyone and anyone. The hike-to-view ratio was incredible, with one of the best views of any mountain range and sunrise I’ve seen world wide.
The sunrise tour with Rocky was the most memorable part of our trip. The climb was little bit steep for my parents, who are in their 60s, but Rocky was so kind to help them. The sunrise view from the hill was spectacular. Rocky took amazing pictures and videos for us. And his explanation about Dalat -his hometown- was really interesting. If you want to fell true Dalat, I highly recommend The sunrise tour!
Rocky was a great host, knowledgeable kind paying attention to every individual and lovely company. The view point was gorgeous not crowded and felt so special. The tea coffee pastries and breakfast were delicious.
The cloud hunting experience with Rocky was absolutely unforgettable! Even though we didn’t have the luck to witness the “sea of cloud”, the experience was still amazing. Rocky went above and beyond to make sure we were warm with hot beverages, and croissants, he even helped us take many photos. The trip ended with a local breakfast and sharing of local stories, which were superb. Highly recommended!
Absolutely unforgettable experience. Watching the sunrise from a hidden gem of Dalat was breathtaking. Rocky will let you know whether the weather is good for the view or not so felt very special. I also really appreciated that just myself and he still did it, how thoughtful. Watching sunrise while the guide prepared everything, breakfast and coffee. Stress free tour since the beginning until the end. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique, well-organized, and memorable sunrise experience.
If you are looking for a sunrise hike in Da Lat, look no further. There are many tour operators out there, but I am so glad I chose this one with Rocky. Rocky is a true local, born and raised in Da Lat. His English is excellent, and since he knows the city inside out, you can ask him for any advice about your trip. He is incredibly friendly and made the whole experience very welcoming. As for the hike itself, it is a short trek (about 30 minutes) but quite steep. It might not be "easy" for complete beginners, but it is definitely manageable and worth the effort. Once we reached the peak, Rocky took great care of us. We enjoyed hot tea and coffee accompanied by delicious bakery treats made by his mother – such a lovely personal touch! After descending, Rocky took us to a local spot for a Vietnamese breakfast that he has been eating at since he was a kid. It was authentic and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed.
thach and his crew made sunset hiking and cloud hunting a unique experience - amazing view!!! really enjoyed the breakfast afterwards :-)
You can't control the weather, we where lucky with a nice temperature and a good weather forecast. The hike was a little challenging if you have no experience. But there enough resting moments for everyone. The view was amazing every couple minutes the view changes and the tour guide makes sure you can see it all. He brings you thee coffee and a little snack. Afterwards he advise some places to go. Absolutely a good tour.
I joined the sunrise mini-trek with Rocky and honestly… this was one of the best things I’ve done in Da Lat. The hike itself is not too hard, just enough to make you feel alive before the sun comes up. And then when the sky slowly turns pink and gold. The view from the hilltop was absolutely worth every step. Rocky is such a friendly and thoughtful guide. He checks on everyone, keeps the mood light, shares little stories along the way, and somehow still manages to take amazing photos of the whole group. He even prepared warm coffee and flaky croissants so we could enjoy breakfast while watching the sunrise. Small detail, but it made the moment extra special.
Joining the early-morning sunrise tour in Da Lat was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Everything felt incredibly local and authentic - from the peaceful mountain viewpoint to the homemade breakfast prepared on the spot. The organization was impeccable, with every detail thoughtfully planned. Guide was exceptional: deeply knowledgeable about the region, passionate about sharing local culture. He managed to be both highly professional and incredibly personable, making us feel more like friends than tourists. On top of that, he captured stunning photos throughout the tour - some of the best travel pictures I’ve ever had. Watching the sunrise in a hammock, with freshly brewed coffee in one hand and a warm croissant in the other, overlooking the breathtaking landscapes of Da Lat… it truly doesn’t get better than this. It’s the kind of experience you carry with you for the rest of your life.
I’ve never been a trekking person, but Rocky made the whole journey feel safe and guided. When the trail got steep and I was tired, he always kept an eye on me by showing how to climb up and down properly & giving me space to breathe. The sunrise was insane: bright, bold, and gold, cutting through the clouds like a spotlight. We stood above a sea of clouds rolling beneath us. Rays of light spilling over the ridge, the wind getting colder, and the whole sky turning into a painting. What I loved the most is how Rocky takes care of everyone in his own customized way. He gave me privacy when I wanted to be quiet and just take in the scenery. But he knows how to get the group vibing together, chit chatting and not getting boring. He’s cheerful, friendly, and full of good energy. While we were speechless by the sunrise, Rocky was preparing hot croissants, artichoke tea, and coffee for the group - like a quiet host who does everything without making it a performance. And the tour isn’t just hiking and sunrise. Rocky shares so many stories about Da Lat: its history, its culture, the different ethnic groups, Vietnam’s past and present. It’s not just a sunrise tour - it’s the kind of experience that makes you feel more connected to the land. It was thoughtful, romantic, peaceful, and deeply worth it. And I would recommend it to anyone whether you’re a trekking person or not. Attached are some photos from my old fujifilm camera
This was an unforgettable journey. The guide Rocky was excellent; he arrived at the hotel on time to pick me up, and then we hiked to the summit to wait for the sunrise. Our timing was perfect. From the deep blue starry sky to the orange gradient sunrise along the way, it was all breathtaking. Rocky also took many beautiful photos and videos to commemorate this moment for us. We also enjoyed hot tea and coffee and delicious small cakes on the mountain, and saw the dreamy morning mist in the woods. Viewing the full panorama of Da Lat from the other side of the mountain, Rocky introduced us to a lot of local culture and customs. Unfortunately, my English isn't very good, so I missed some things. It's really a case of "knowing about it but not being able to use it." After watching the sunrise, Rocky took us to eat local breakfast, which was very delicious. Finally, they gave us souvenirs and thoughtfully recommended some great restaurants and cafes to us. If you come to Da Lat, you must ask Rocky to see such a beautiful and spectacular sunrise.
What a morning! With Rocky at the top of Hòn Bồ, tea, coffee and warm croissants in hand – and a breathtaking sunrise over Da Lat in front of us. Getting up early was more than worth it. We were incredibly lucky to get a private tour – so Rocky and his team were able to really make time for us. As a true local of Da Lat, he knows his homeland like his back pocket. You can feel his real connection to nature – the mountains and hiking are simply his world. He let us in on the secrets of Da Lat and then led us to a delicious local breakfast that we would never have found on our own. This experience was extraordinary – not only because of the landscape, but because you have someone with you who really loves what they do. Absolutely recommended for those who want to experience Da Lat off the beaten track! Thank you, Rocky and team – see you next time! 🙏
Experienced weather confirmation in advance If the clouds aren't good, they don't set out for the mission. We'll drop by in the morning and leave on time. We'll get everyone together. The lucky ones this time are a few young guys. Everybody climbs super fast and jumps all the way. Prepared floor mat, hot tea, coffee, specialty snacks Serve with care, without being overly enthusiastic. Very thoughtful photo shoot for everyone. The return trip took out plastic bags and picked up rubbish scattered by other tourists The whole trip was very well planned, dedicated and truly nature loving and deserves praise Breakfast is a local speciality and loved Each took a small gift 🎁 souvenir Thank you for the New Year's wishes and good fortune.
The experience was complete and excellent. The staff was careful, caring, informative. The pickup, the type, the reverence, the photograph, the move to breakfast, everything was better than we could have imagined.
There is a pick-up and drop-off service where you can arrive at the top of the mountain and see the Big Dipper if the weather is fine. In city life, time to slowly look up at the sky and see the stars is hard to come by. First, we climb the mountain road for a short time and head to a place where we can admire the sunrise. Rocky prepared the zabuton for us, and we baked croissants on the spot 🥐, plus Artiso tea and local coffee. The sunrise was exceptional as I watched it while being wrapped in fragrant tea. There was also a photo time for each participant 🤣, and it warmed our hearts that Rocky shared with us his childhood memories of climbing and seeing the sunrise. It's a great tour experience full of warmth and I would definitely recommend it.
A great tour! We started very early and were picked up directly from our accommodation and taken to the meeting point in the mountains near Da Lat. Rocky then went with us the way up the mountain and prepared blankets for us to sit down there. He also had hot coffee, tea & a small snack with him. That was great! Rocky also took a lot of pictures of us so we could enjoy the moment. Breakfast together in Da Lat completed the trip perfectly. Great experience, absolutely recommended and gladly again!
