Our tour with Hannah was outstanding! My Son was such an incredible sight to see, and I couldn't imagine visiting without Hannah speaking about the relics. Our jeep tour through the city, rice fields and neighborhoods was such a beautiful way to become acquainted with Vietnam. The Terracotta Workshop was such a special stop as well. It was an unforgettable day of our lives, and we're so thankful to our drivers and Hannah!
Wonderful way to see this beautiful historic site, take in the sights and sounds of the beautiful countryside and taste some delicious local cuisine. We also had an unexpected and totally awesome visit to a terracotta workshop which was so interesting. Our guides Ben and Nine were outstanding, knowledgeable, warm and funny as well. Highly recommended trip.
We had a fantastic tour guide that managed to take us to BA Na hills and my Son. Hannah was flexible around our needs as we only had one day to visit both sites, she was able to fast track us through BA Na hills and was very well informed when we visited My Son.
Cannot recommend this tour and our wonderful guide Carol enough. Our family of 5 loved visiting the My son temples with Carol who was so knowledgeable and thoughtful. Driving through the villages and fields, seeing water buffalo and chillies drying on the streets was a highlight of our trip. Thank you Carol!
We had a great tour of My Son with Sunny! he was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area which was wonderful. The pottery stop was really special. 100% recommend over the big tours. The stops before and the beautiful meandering route meant we ended up at My Son at a slightly different time than all the big tour groups so it was far quieter and exactly the kind of excursion we were after.
Booked 2 separate tours through this company (marble & monkey mountain & my son sanctuary) and we were very impressed. We were lucky enough to have Sunny as our guide both times and he was absolutely fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and energetic you can tell he really loves his job. 5 stars all round.
Authentic Vietnam experience, travelling in the back of a jeep through small villages, farms, rice paddies and up close with the cows and water buffalo. Wonderful guide, Carol, very knowledgeable, and peaceful, serene walk through the My Son Sanctuary. UNESCO cultural heritage site since 1997 well worth a visit.
We had a great tour with Local buddy to My Son from Hoian by jeep. Every thing was great. Highly recommended to choose the tour with a jeep or car
Had a fantastic time, a world of difference from the usual tour groups. The jeep takes you through villages and along paths across the paddy fields and countryside, off the main tourist tracks. We stopped at a ceramics factory and met the father-and-daughter team running it, which was fascinating (without feeling any pressure to buy anything). Then the trip to the My Son sanctuary, which is just incredible - Thang is a brilliant guide and you spend as much time as you want, where you want to. Finally, you try my quang noodles, a delicious local dish. Really amazing day and worth every dollar.
It was the best tour we have experienced in Hoi An. Thanh was exceptional at giving us background information, answered all our questions and was a pleasure to be with. We were not rushed on the tour or pressured to purchase any goods. Going on a jeep meant you were off the beaten track and saw actual rural Vietnam, stunning!!! So much better than the commercial tourist companies the hotel push on you. We visited the le Duc Ha Terra Cotta workshop, amazing craftsmanship, then drove through villages, rice fields. Followed by the My Son sanctuary, seeing beautiful Hindu Temples and breathtaking views. Followed by a delicious local lunch at Mi Ga My Son. As a foodie I can tell you it's the best chicken noodle soup I have ever had. We were well taken care of and restored our faith in tours as the previous day we did a marble/monkey mountain tour that was commercial, rushed, and used as a ploy to get tourists to buy, buy, buy at a marble shop. Very stressful and unpleasant. I would highly recommend going with Local Buddy Tours, you will not regret it.
It was a great. Thanh was terrific. Definitely fit this trip in while in Dang. Lunch at the end was a great way to finish. Get onboard.
Exceptional tour with the most wonderful guides. Highly recommend, do not miss the opportunity to immerse in the history and culture!
My Son tour was great. History was well explained by Carol who was very knowledgeable and easily understood. Our driver was great and went out of his way for photo stops. Would highly recommend this tour. Thanks
A great experience with our guide, John who was able to provide a great amount of knowledge on our visit but also his knowledge of the local area. would recommend this tour to everyone especially if you can get John as your guide. He even took lots of pictures for us which made our memories even more special.
We had an amazing day with our guide John. My Son and the pottery village is definitely worth a visit and John was a very knowing and friendly guide, who made the tour so much more enjoyable. Doing the tour in the jeep is a fun twist that makes the transportation an experience itself. We would definitely recommend this tour.
Wow this was such a great tour!! We loved the Jeep, and our guide, Sunny, who was knowledgeable, super personable and has a great sense of humor!! He made the tour so much fun!! The sanctuary is absolutely worth the trip, and gives you a chance to absorb the history of Vietnam. This tour company is professional, well-organized, and run by locals who really know this country. Highly recommend!!!!
Great trip with Carol and Sa to Me Son, well worth the early start ! Great fun to be driven at dawn in an army jeep and watch the sun rise . The early start meant we had Me Sin to ourselves. It was absolutely stunning and we saw many dragonflies and butterflies and listened to the birdsong . We learned so much from Carol which made the trip really good.
We had a great duo with our driver and tour guide, Yen & Thanh. Very accomodating guys that took us everywhere we needed to go. If I was to visit Hoi An again I would only ask for these guys for a tour
Thanks for the fun and informative tour Ben. Visited My Son Sanctuary by army jeep - we were recommended by Ben to go early which we did - 5.30 am pick up - so glad we did as it was so hot! Also lots of tourists later in the morning so we were there with only one other tour group. Going by army Jeep was great fun, Ben is a great guide who let us take our time and who has a great sense of humour. The noodles afterwards were delicious! Booking was easy and communication prompt. Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing tour, brilliant tour guide (Ben) really good food at a fantastic restaurant and a overall brilliant experience.
We really enjoyed touring around the countryside in old US Army jeeps. Our guide Thanh was very knowledgeable and funny. We had 2 Jeeps for the 5 of us and the drivers were excellent. It was great to be off the beaten track through lush rice paddies. Apart from My Son not another tourist in sight. Highly recommended.
We have used Local Buddy Tours before and are never disappointed, they are the best private tour business in Hoi An and the surrounding areas. The My Son Sanctuary jeep tour was a lot of fun with other local sites taken in as well as the sanctuary site . Our guide Thanh has great knowledge of the area and was able to answer all of our questions. Lunch at a local rural restaurant was a highlight for us and it was great to sit and relax whilst our guide organised a variety of local dishes. You can’t go wrong with Local Buddy tours they listen to what you want and then they make it happen.
We had signed up to the jeep tour to My Son and the hidden waterfall, but the day turned out to be cold and rainy. Thanh, our guide offered to rearrange the tour, without us having to ask. After visiting a local market and My Son, we had lunch in a local friendly restaurant and visited a mat weaver and rice wine maker who ran their businesses from their home. It was a great day and the flexibility displayed ensured we had a great day was appreciated. Thanh is lovely, with a great sense of humour, chilled vibe and excellent English. Sang our driver excellently drove the jeep, even managing to join a Vietnam Army convoy, which was a bit surreal. My Local buddy Tours care about their community, and share the money they receive with needy locals. It was fantastic to hear that they were able to help 15 families with essential goods for the Lunar new year. It was a great experience. Thanh shared tales of life in the villages with a smile and warmth. The jeep was in great condition, and its open air nature added to the trip. It was by far the stand out tour of our packed holiday to Vietnam.
Had such amazing tour on the jeep trip to my son today with our guide tu,we would highly recommend this trip, looking forward to our next trip on thursday, hope the scooters are as good as the jeep x
Thank you to our great guide Thanh and our driver Le for showing us the incredible site of My Son in a Jeep in impeccable condition! Thanh knows the history of the Champa people, the site and also taught us a lot about the journey!!! We highly recommend!!
The experience was wonderful. THANH was our guide and it was amazing. Very dedicated. With an exceptional English and much cult raised our journey. Thank you Thanh
