Recommend this private tour. Our guides Emily and Mr. Kim were exceptional. Super kind and patient with us. Emily told us all the stories about where we were and answered our many questions. We toured in March and it was really hot so go early, and bring sunscreen and a hat.

Itinerary
The Marble Mountains are a cluster of five stunning marble and limestone peaks, each named after one of the five elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. As you ascend the stone steps carved into the mountains, you will discover a serene Buddhist pagoda and breathtaking caves, along with beautiful panoramic views from the mountaintop. One notable site is Am Phu Cave, which features a captivating replica of “Heaven and Hell,” offering a unique glimpse into Buddhist beliefs about the afterlife. At the foot of the Marble Mountains lies Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village, a unique craft village renowned for its marble sculptures. With a history spanning over 200 years, this village showcases the artistry and skill of local sculptors who create stunning marble products.
Next, we will journey north to the Son Tra Peninsula, which rises 693 meters above sea level and is located just 10 kilometers northeast of Da Nang City. Here, we will visit the magnificent Son Tra Linh Ung Pagoda, known for its impressive Lady Buddha statue, one of the tallest in Vietnam. From this vantage point, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city, the peninsula, and the Marble Mountains, creating a unique impression that is unforgettable.

A very nice tour for a short day, it was nicely planned. My tour guide Tom was very professional, knowledgeable, and had a good sense of humor. Anyone wanting to visit the Marble mountains should book this tour.
It was a half-day tour, but good quality throughout. Anh Nhẫn was a charming tour guide; very relatable. He was very considerate, even about things like the timing; making sure we had a relaxing experience. The tour itself provided a glimpse into the development of the area and culture and included many stunning views (though it takes some physical ability, it is well worth it). It is definitely a must-see when visiting this area
Our tour guide, Autumn, was great! She was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we visited and we learned a lot. I appreciated how the driver was waiting for us at every site and we didn’t have to walk far. I am glad we went with a tour guide because we learned things we wouldn’t have if we went by ourselves.
The sites are a must see if you are in Da Nang. Our guides, Emily and Truc, were brilliant. They paced the visits superbly and informative at the right level, no overload or overload. They were so proactive in taking pictures as otherwise a couple would be forced into a wefie.
The tour was well worth taking and Tom, our guide, was very informative and friendly. We particularly enjoyed visiting The Lady Buddha and would highly recommend to anyone staying in Da Nang.
Excellent activity even in rainy weather. Had a fantastic guide, Emily, who not only provided interesting and insightful content to the tour but also planned our itinerary in such a manner as to avoid the crowds. Absolutely recommend this trip!
Absolutely fantastic day despite raining weather. Our guide, Emily, was an absolute treasure and took extra time to guide us and tell us about the sites. She was extremely friendly and well informed, and we really appreciate the thought she put into our itinerary for the day to help avoid the crowds. Well worth a morning's exploration and would highly recommend.
We enjoyed the tour and the guide was very friendly but her English was very limited (mostly just pointing at things we could already see like a beach and naming it in English). She also seemed to have a very limited amount of actual information ot knowledge about either the pagoda or marble mountain and sometimes the information was incorrect. For example, when asked she said that the Lady Buddha statue was made of cement not marble. I didn't think this made sense so I later googled it and in fact it is made of marble. This to me is very basic information that a tour guide should know. A lot of her "guiding" was just stating very obvious things that I could have worked out myself with common sense just by looking, but she didn't know many details or history of the sights at all. It was as if the actual tour guide was unavailable and they had sent someone who wasn't a tour guide instead. I was quite disappointed and given how much the tour cost it was not a good level of service and I would not recommend this tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our driver and guide were very attentive and patient. Our guide shared lots of great information and the driver was happy to stop for photo opportunities. We would recommend this tour to anyone.
We got super lucky and it was just us with our lovely guide Bee and driver Nam. We loved the tour and Bee was an exceptional guide. She was full of energy and so much knowledge, we learned so much about the Marble Mountains and the Buddhist and Taoist cultures. We loved hearing Bee's stories from her childhood also, she was just so lovely, she even gave us some yummy home made snacks as we were exploring the area around Lady Buddha. We easily could have spent all day with Bee but the half day was enough to explore both sites. The view from Lady Buddha over the peninsula is gorgeous! There is a lot of stairs, we didnt mind, but if you have mobility issues Marble Mountain might be a little difficult. Not impossible, but just be prepared for lots of uneven stairs. We highly recommend this tour and tour company, we hope if you do decide to take this wonderful tour you get to meet Bee, she is truly an asset to this company and we feel so lucky to have spent the afternoon with her.
Mot (Tom) waited patiently for us to finish our (late) breakfast at the hotel which made us feel less stressed about the situation. Because there were no other people who signed up for the group tour, we had him all to ourselves! He was a wealth of local knowledge and having him as a tour guide definitely made our visit to the Marble Mountain and Lady Buddha much more personal. I highly recommend asking for Tom as your tour guide!
Both places are a must go as it provides you with insight on Vietnam’s history. The guide shared that cave was used during Vietnam’s war and was very knowledgeable in sharing the history and culture of both places!
Our tour guide was informative (she also had interesting stories to tell about hell). Due to COVID-19 there was only a handful of us in the tour which was nice. It was a very relaxing tour. We were kind of underwhelmed by the size of the mountains, however, that is not the tours fault. If you have never been to these mountains and have time to spare, we would recommend going. However, there are better tours if you’re short with time.
Both the Marble Mountains and the Pagoda are well worth seeing, just not with the guide we had. The Viator description of the guide speaking English was a stretch at best, we managed to understand maybe 1 word in 10 (English is our first language). Really enjoyed the Pagoda for the first 30 minutes. The next 45 minutes of waiting for our guide to return was not so enjoyable. The itinerary managed to omit the requisite stop at a garden statue place where they try and sell you life size marble garden ornaments. The Marble Mountains themselves are impressive, just a pity that we couldn’t ask the guide any questions due to the language barrier. Overall was useful to have some one drive us to the different places and arrange entry, but if you want an informative tour guide than best look elsewhere.
We had a great experience touring the Linh Ung Pagoda, Lady Buddha statue, and Marble Mountain with our excellent guide Tin. He was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Tin was able to answer all of our questions and coordinated the tour very well. Thank you for a great experience!
Going up by lift before walking down via stairs. An informative from guide will help you understand more about the statue inside the cave.
Our afternoon tour started with the Lady Buddha. Our guide was very informative and had a great sense of humor. She provided water as we needed it on this very warm day. Marble Mountain was our next stop. The shrines and caves were amazing. Again, our guide was very gracious and gave us the time we wanted at each place. Alas, the heat and our ages slowed us down to the point that we needed to rest. The guide worried she had done something wrong but that was not the case. She was very wonderful. And I highly recommend her. Oh, and the driver stopped at a convenience store on the way back to the hotel so we could get supplies. This was a lovely tour.
Our tour guide Eric arrived early at our hotel and he gave us a very informative tour of both venues. He had great knowledge and spoke in excellent English and was able to answer the many questions we posed. All in all a great half day tour to 2 of Da Nangs Must See Attractions
Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and had good english. He took numerous photos To be uploaded later of us and was very obligeing. The time at the lady Buddha and Marble Mountain sites was sufficient and left us the afternoon for relaxing in our resort
The Mountains consist of many pagodas, caves and temples. It's fascinating to see people praying in front of the altar inside the cave. Beautiful places.
The actual sites we visited were wonderful. The Marble Mountain was beautiful and absolutely worth the visit along with the Lady Buddha. The downside of this “tour” was that is was basically a shuttle service as our tour guide did not speak very good English at all (we understood maybe 25% of what he said) and he shared very limited information with us during the day. They picked us up late and the tour guide didn’t say hi or tell us what the plan was for the day until about 15 minutes into our drive. In addition, our pick up time was originally 8:00 and then we received another email saying pick up was 7:35 which is fine because we are up early however they didn’t pick us up until 7:55 so we waited around for no reason and I had to call them multiple times to ensure they had our hotel info correct. Overall a disappointing tour experience and we unfortunately would not recommend this tour company.
It is not for the faint of heart but hiking up the stairs to the top through all the pagodas was absolutely worth it. Anyone staying in the Da Nang - Hoi An area should make the trip. Only a small entrance fee.
We visited water mountain, one of five marble mountains.. a beautiful view.. natural cave with great stories behind. Recommended place to go. Thank you to our tour guide, Mr Vinh.. very funny and friendly.
Our tour guide Thao spoke excellent English and was very informative about the history. We were the only ones in the tour. We visited Lady Buddha at Monkey Mountain first thing to beat the crowds - good decision as many busloads of tourists turned up as we were leaving. We then headed back to Marble Mountain visiting a marble shop where you could buy many small to large marble items. We then walked across the road to Marble Mountain. There is a lift half way up the mountain, then you have to walk up, down and around the rest of the tour. Very interesting and worthwhile
This a good half day trip in Danang. Only 10 mins drive to each site. Tam, our guide was very informative, friendly & he gave plenty of time to look around.
What a beautiful place marble mountain is, our tour guide Snow was so lovely and very informative, she ensured we had enough time to look around before moving to the next spot, she is a real asset to the company. I would definitely recommend this tour and Snow to anyone who wants some history on their trip. Nat & Ben
The morning we embarked on this tour was a rainy one and we were thoroughly swaddled up under our raincoats and umbrellas but this did not dampen our spirits. Previous to the tour, the tour company had been very helpful via WhatsApp with arranging a hotel pick-up amongst other things. Our guide, Eric, was outstanding and full of fascinating facts and history of Vietnam, as well as providing insights regarding Vietnamese culture and day-to-day life. There are a few steps on this tour which may prove troublesome to those with mobility issues, but anyone of average fitness and ability should be more than able to conquer the heights of both the Marble Mountain and Son Tra! All in all, an excellent tour that helps you to see many sights and learn a lot of history all whilst only taking up half a day!
An amazing place to see and definitely worth spending half day here. Some parts of the cave system are quite tough to climb and with so many visitors it does become risky and having to wait for people in front. Would recommend seeing this and avoiding the tourist traps like souvenirs shops etc unless one wants to purchase items.
My friend and I were taken on this tour by Tin, who was very knowledgeable and put up with us asking to take our photo all the time. The most spectacular was the mountain tour, lots of steps but nothing too intense. Beautiful views.
It is a small place in Da Nang. Near to the Marble Mountain and Marble Village. You walk up very vertical steps, but just a few, around 05 minutes walking and then a Grateful Surprise. Pagodas and Caves with Budhas and plenty of histories and legends. Highly recommended.
My wife and I booked this tour to get to know about the da nang peninsula. Have to say that the tour guide was extremely kind and informative. Providing us with knowledge that we would never know if we decided to go to the tourist spots by ourselves. Definitely recommended.
We saw lots of Budha's, climbed a lot of steps inside and out of the mountains, toured a marble factory (prices are crazy and can always be bartered down), saw multiple spider monkeys in the trees on the way to the Big Budha. A great tour and highly recommended.

Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and had good english. He took numerous photos To be uploaded later of us and was very obligeing. The time at the Laddy Buddha and Marble Mountain sites was sufficient and left uss the afternoon for pur own devoces.

We enjoyed our 1/2 day, and especially the visit to the caves, although there were various glitches...The description fails to mention that the tour includes a visit to the Lady Buddha, which we had previously seen the day before by hiring a taxi to take us there. They guide was also not informed that we were doing a second 1/2 tour with Viator, and that the morning tour person was supposed to facilitate our arrival at the starting point of the second 1/2 tour. Still another glitch occurred when the bus driver pulled over to the side of the road and stayed too long twhile the tour guide was attempting to resolve our drop off spot and then proceeded to get a ticket. Two policed officers took at least 20-25 minutes before taking their bribe all agreed likely, and letting the driver go.

Very good tour both Marble Mountain and Lady Buddha. We were picked up promptly and had a friendly team of guests on the tour. Nice friendly tour guide, full of knowledge for both trips.
Only thing you do need on the marble mountain excursion is a good pair of shoes/trainers and suitable attire to withstand the climbing on the different terrain on the mountain you have to climb and come down.
The one negative that puts me off the tour is the pushy selling at the sovereign shops, when the sales team seem to pound on you, this part is definitely unnecessary, it puts a negative on the tour before it has even began.
The both visit I would recommend, well worth the trip.

A beautiful spot, and our tour guide was very informative, friendly and good fun.

Really enjoyed both places we visited on this tour, even more than I thought I would! Fantastic views back to Danang and the ocean from the Lady Buddha on Son Tra, amid beautiful temple grounds with bonsais and statues. The caves and sculptures in the Marble Mountain were quite thought-provoking - I thought the two Buddhas playing chess in one of the caves was particularly surprising and curious! Our guide, Eric, was really fun and had all kinds of intriguing information about both places and Buddhism in general. Both places are beautiful, well worth seeing.

Our tour was excellent in extremely hot humid conditions we braved the steps to the top of Marble Mountain. Ming our guide was informative and was considerate of our needs in the weather conditions.

This tour was the perfect length of time. We saw everything we wanted to see without feeling rushed. Our tour guide, Eric, was wonderful! He provided very interesting information along with entertaining anecdotes. Highly recommended!

Guide was informed and nice, Tour was well organized. I recommend it.

It will be a great tour for someone who wish to know more about buddhism. Thanks to the tour guide who explained them through in great details.

Unfortunately we did this tour in a heavy rain with ponchos and umbrellas. Our shoes and socks were soaked. It was very difficult to get any photos really. The cave tour was slippery marble steps and some rooms were closed due to flooding. The guide spoke good English but rushed through the tour and started talking about the next point of interest before the whole group was there. We hit Danang in a tropical storm period unfortunately. I would definitely recommend this tour in better weather though.

The tour and tour guide were informative. But the tour itself was overpriced.

Starting the day going to Son Tra Peninsula and the Lady Buddha Statue. The views of the City and Marble Mountain here are simply spectacular.
Moving onto Marble Mountain itself, stopping at shops at the base to see items they make form the marble collected from the mountain Pricey, but well worth it. Then up onto the mountain leading up to the Pagoda and then up through the caves to se even more spectacular views from the top of the mountain.
Eric, our tour guide, was very informative and had a lot of time for our questions and photos.
This is a highly recommended tour for anyone who visits this area

Excellent tour, the guide was fabulous, happily answered our questions and didn't have a problem with us wanting to change the tour around with Marble Mountain after Son Tra Peninsula we were told to see Marble Mountain around midday - and are so glad we did as the sun streaming through the cave was stunning. He was very respectful and helpful with my being a bit slow, he didn't know I have MS, which isn't a big problem but heat can be an issue, and wow was it hot!.
Absolutely recommend this tour.

The tour was fun and extremely educational. Our tour guide spoke very good English and was filled with local knowledge. The trip up Marble Mountain was great with the exception of all of the steps we had to climb. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Our guide, Ming, picked us up from the hotel on time. He was very friendly and accommodating throughout the entire trip. He told many fun facts and even assisted us going up and down the many stairs. He could speak English quite well and answered all of our questions. Beautiful trip! It was the highlight of our Da Nang stay.

The guide who accompanied us was very friendly and knew a lot about the history and religion of Vietnam and China..I learned very interesting things. I recommend (I would do it again).
