Overall tour was good of marble mountain and exploring Hoi An on our own. Communication could have been clearer for pick up and drop off took a very long time with many stops before ours. Food at Blue Gecko was included and very good.

On the day of the tour, we received two whatsapp messages confirming our pick up time at our hotel. The name on one of the messages was incorrect but the hotel name was correct. The second message didn't have a name on it but confirmed the pick up location and time. When the bus arrived, we went up along with another couple, but the tour guide was visibly confused and asked us to show our confirmation. I showed him the Expedia confirmation, receipt and whatsapp messages, but he looked more and more annoyed at us even though we had clearly booked and paid for the tour. In the end, he called his office and shoved us on the bus, but the bus was full so we were perched on the edge of the seats. At no point in time did the tour guide apologise for the mix up and continued to treat us as if we were grifters trying to cheat our way into the tour. We were very tempted to just walk away rather than continue to be treated poorly, but after the first stop, the guide rearranged seating so that we would have proper seats and could sit together. Throughout the tour, there was not a single apology given about the mix up. It's understandable that administrative errors happen with bookings, and that's fine if the company and tour guide handles the situation in a professional manner. However, in this case, the guide handled the situation terribly and took his annoyance out on the customer(!!). We'll never, ever use this tour group again. The tour itself was okay. The guide spoke fluent English. The dinner at Hoi An was probably one of our most disappointing meals in our trip. It was designed to allow us to sample multiple things, but all items were not executed very well.
It's like a hiking trip, so skip the morning run and workout! The Guide was very helpful and informative, so you pretty much knew what was coming up next.
This tour was more interesting than I expected. Climbing the Marble Mountain is a great experience though it might be tough if you don’t do any exercise at least monthly basis. Hoi A was really beautiful at night and we could enjoy the night market as well. One negative point is that the tour takes you a jem store at the beginning.
Good tour. Some fitness required as there are a couple of hundred stone stairs to climb. The host was cheerful and organised.
My girls and I absolutely loved this excursion, especially the time spent at the Ancient Town of Hoi An. Being on the river with our lanterns was magical, and the overall experience of the town was vibrant and full of energy. The trip was well organised and the local food served was plenty and delicious. I would recommend this tour without hesitation.
Had a good time. Great little tour to do if you’re free for a few hours late afternoon/evening. Van pick up was good Tour guide ‘Tea’ was friendly and his English was great. FYI, The mountain has many stairs so it’s not for everyone. Elderly and overweight people will most probably struggle with the harshness of the heat and amount of stairs needed to climb the mountain. That said.. if you do make it up.. it’s worth it!! Food wasn’t great! Normally the tours throughout Da Nang have really good food, sadly not the case here… good job I came for the mountain, caves and Hoi An city. LOL The caves we visited were amazing! The city tour of Hoi A was fab! Great to be on the river and do the boat lantern “thing” too! (Not included in the tour price) I paid 200,000 for the boat. Which is apparently the price for 1-2 people.. the price then scales up accordingly. You could probably fit 8-10 people on the boat I had I feel. Anyways, I hope this helps someone or maybe a few.. leave a thumbs up if it does.
It was fun! The tour provided comfortable transportation from the resort. Our tour guide, Mr. Tea, was very friendly and helpful and communicated well! Started out with Marble mountain and ended with Hoi An night market, I did not feel rushed and you get the freedom to do a lot of things on your own.
The views were so amazing. The guide and the trip went very well. Everything was so well planned I highly recommend this to everyone
Followed the schedule and learned a lot from the tour guide. They also offered me a free tour in the Pagoda and Lady Buddha site.. Also, very thankful that the guide helped me in securing back my left item. Highly recommended!
Excellent tour to vist Marble mountains and beautiful Hoi An Ancient town with night market and lantern boat. Amazing experience! Highly recommended!
The tour was an unforgettable experience. This breathtaking attraction exceeded my expectations with its stunning natural beauty, rich history, and captivating culture
Another wish list opened, another memory made. The staff were quick to respond to our requests, the view is amazing. Thank you for the experience
Good guide and tour of marble mountain and Hoi An Unfortunately the bus was 30mins late picking me up and no communication to say when I was going to get picked up
Really enjoyed the tour and the tour guide was knowledgeable, it was fascinating to see caves and learn the history of the lantern, we were given enough time to explore all ins and outs Highly recommend
This Was a wonderful afternoons activity and I throughaly enjoyed myself. Tim our host Was very informative and interactive. The dinner provided in the cost of the tour was a fantastic vietmesse meal and hotel to hotel pickup and drop off was great. Thankyou all very much. 100 % happy
The the tour was excellent the guide was wonderful and they were very helpful and supportive. I recommend this for all the people who can come it's worth the money. Local food was great
Traveling with you was great and heartwarming, and I was happy to meet your group. I will definitely accompany you in the next trips
I had a dream trip and full facilities were provided to me and without the slightest delay, the trip was done in the best way. I am very grateful to the travel agency.
.a perfect tour.tour leaders were very good and friendly.we had a great experince .everything was perfect.i will recomend this to everyone.
The food was amazing I would go again just for the restaurant feed. Walking around Hoi An old town in the evening is stunning too!
I enjoyed the trip and the fee is worth it. The guide, Tim, was very nice. I would recommend this tour if you will go to Da Nang...
Traveling to a place and culture that's so different from where I've grown up, you can only hope that your guide has the desire and ability to connect and make your visit truly special. From the moment my wife and I met Vu, we were treated like gold, not just sharing stories, history and anecdotes, but also checking on us as we hiked up hillside paths, boarded boats, wandered around caves with uneven surfaces and biked through Hoi An. As a music lover, between stops, we enjoyed some car karaoke finding out what Western music he knew, singing "Hotel California" & "Englishman in NY", Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie and more! The DMZ history and stories shared made that experience more meaningful. The incense village, silk factory, Marble Mountain, bamboo boats, stopping for local coffee overlooking Danang and ample time to let us shop local crafts including a gift of local herbs after all our Vietnamese cuisine discussions. Hóa, our driver, always ready to get us back in the A/C of the car at just the right time - was ready with water whenever needed. Vu made our trip to Central Vietnam extra special - VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Our tour guide was great, explained to us the history and religious aspects of Marble Mountain in a kind and friendly way. Ensured our safety throughout the journey but let us explore at our own pace. Maintained absolute professionalism even with some group members being problematic. Dinner in Hoi An was fantastic, we got severely rained on but the driver and tour guide made no big deal about being soaking wet in the car. Tour guide answered all of our questions and engaged in friendly conversation with us on the ride home. Felt very safe with the driver's skills even in the downpour rain.
Excellent service from the driver and the tour guide. My pick up was perfectly on time. I love this company. Even more, I loved the tour.
About Marble Mountain The good : The mountain is very nice especially in the sunset view (the time when I visited it). There are many historic caves in there with the statues of lady Budha. There is even one shrine where you can pray to get love. The Pagoda provides a serene ambience to calm you after the climb. You will get to choose between stairs and elevator (for extra cost). I, personally found stairs as a better option as you can explore the scenery little by little with every ascending step rather than getting completely awestruck at once. It is not a must visit but I wouldn't say it is not recommendable. CAUTION: IF YOU ARE TAKING STAIRS, PLEASE BEWARE THAT THE STEPS ARE VERY SHORT (since they are man- made and have been preserved original). You may feel very hot, so please take a hand fan or cold water alongside. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- About HOI AN The good : The ambience of the lantern lit river in night makes up a truly romantic atmosphere. Especially when I visited it had a red moon which made the scene very beautiful. There is also a complete market there for lot of goods (including GUCCI, LV, Chanelle, Prada countefiets). There were nice food stalls for both veg and non veg options. Just Ok: The boat ride is okayish and you can take up some good photos but may not find it very enjoyable if you have taken up other water rides. The Bad: Even after being a UNESCO recognised site I found that there was trash in water of Hoi An river which was a bit disappointing. The street vendors may be a bit more cheesy than what you see in rest of the vietnam but you see they are also trying to make a living, so I guess that's still understandable. 😉
The trip is really well organised. The guide is very knowledgeable and genuine. Loved the trip. It had a really personal touch. The dinner was one of the best we have had in Vietnam and they make sure to prepare delicious food for people with special dietary requirements. The boat ride does cost extra- so keep that in mind. Lots of shopping to do.
The Marble Mountains were exquisite. However Hoi A was a BIG disappointment. We had an excellent dinner, but after that the size of the crowds was crazy. Most time was spent looking after your belongings. Sure it was pretty but the huge number of people ruined the experience for me. Jostling and pushing everywhere to move is not my idea of fun
Hoi an is my favourite place and the trip with this group was amazing. Easy to move around and friendly staff. Thank you guys once again
Marble ⛰️ are impressive. Hoi An at night is too touristic. Diner was very good. Excellent guide, very helpful.
The tour guide was very professional and nice, I loved the tour around the mountain and also around the village, food was good.
Was awesome. Tour guide friendly, food was amazing. Love the night markets. Car was comfy and air con.
The tour was great and covered all bases. It was very organized, and the tour guide was top-notch. Only slight drawback would be that they stopped at a statue and stone place on the way to the Hills and the merchants try to incessantly sell you stuff. That was a bit annoying.
I loved Hoi An market and it is a must visit for me. The market is huge and the walks at night was really nice. It has lots of stalls to buy food and stuffs. You will need to bargain hard on the stuffs if you are looking to buy as they give a sky high price.
Had great time! Decent price! Hoi An City is very beautiful and romantic especially at night time. Love the boat ride, must do! Marble Mountain is also spectacular. Lots of climbing. About 125 steps to the top. The tour guide was also very helpful and friendly. Thank-you so much
The bus was old and the sound system did not work well when sitting at the back of the bus...the only seats available when I boarded the bus. The group and guide disappeared from my site after climbing the stairs. I waited 25 to 30 minutes hoping the guide would notice I was not with the group. The guide did not notice I was missing from the group. I did not know where to go to continue the tour. After 30 minutes I figured I should go back to the bus so as not to be left behind. I waited over an hour for the tour to return to the bus. I feel cheated. I believe I should receive at least part of a refund to this tour. Ivan
Had a wonderful experience. Our guide Tim was very helpful. Hoi An is a must visit for everyone visiting Vietnam.
The marble mountains not visiting mountains but a cave. The cave have a lot of man-made artificial sculptures. Those photos shown on tour package with sunlight shining it is on some hours only. The cave is close 5pm. After marble mountains we continue the tour to Hoi An ancient town, the river and ancient town are full on lights and lanterns. Beautiful and colourful on night but too many visitors too crowded. We have a night walk on river side then process to dinner. We don't have chance to visit those small local craft shops but left right after dinner... the experience not impress
One of the best ever trip we had...unique experience and perfect weather at the evening. Aplace MUST visit.
Beautiful tour to experience an ancient town - marble mountain was great & worth the 150 steps up! Our vegetarian needs for dinner were catered for and it was delicious Vietnamese cuisine! Tim was a good guide.
It was a good tour all around, saw the two underground caves at marble mountain. Beautiful sites from the temple, mountain and city site. Hoi An was not bad, good food at the restaurant, night Market was on, sites of the stream of the canoes and lanterns were pretty cool. Wish I was able to see the ancient building of Hoi An. I wasn't I terested in the marble store because I wasn't interested in buying anything there.
The tour guide Tim was knowledgeable and gave interesting information. We did not appreciate the half hour stay at the marble factory at the start of the tour, such a waste of time since we all sat around and no one had the intention to purchase. Hoi An was beautiful and the dinner with local flair was excellent!
The first stop was the marble sculpture art shop, a very interesting place to see all kinds and shapes of sculptures. Our guide Tim is very professional and explained all the details clearly, he's also very friendly and patient. The second stop was The Five Elements mountain, The Marble mountain. The view is stunning, we visited the metal temple and the cave. The last stop was Hoi An city, the dinner can be improved to suit the international tourists. Also should provide water as well. The ancient city of Hui An is so beautiful, the colourful lanterns light up every street and shop. The duration of the last stop should be at least 3 hours instead of 1.5 hours.
Simply Nice Tour and Value for money! Too Simple and Uncomfortable Car for transportation. Had better experience:) Good Dinner and Enough time to experience the city.
There's sufficient time to explore Hoi An at night. Be careful of touts pushing the river boat rides. The dinner included in the tour was delicious and a good introduction to Vietnamese cuisine. Do note that it's a climb of almost 200 steps to the top of Marble Mountain (parts of it steep), so it's only for those who are really fit. Also, the descent from the top is after sunset and there's no lighting along the path - you will need to use your mobile phone.
Tim was a great tour guide and was great at explaining the history and cultural importance of the sites we visited.
Being on a tour that starts in the afternoon gave a different experience. It was amazing checking out one of the marble village spots and the amount of craftsmanship they put in the sculptures is amazing! I wish we we able to hike the full length of marble mountain...which I can save for another time. Once we made our way to the ancient city we were paired up in tables for dinner and was lucky enough to meet three people. Special thanks to Tim, our tour guide, for telling us the go to spot for the lemon drink and making this trip fun!
Our journey to Marble Mountain and Hoi An Ancient Town was incredible. The bus was prompt and comfortable, and the driver was friendly. The tour guide painted a vivid picture of the mountain's history and stories about the town's heritage. We enjoyed the local specialties like pork noodles, dumplings, spring rolls and chicken and pork vegetable soups of Hoi An in the evening. Highly recommend!
I like the timings for the tour. Our tour guide was very attentive and funny. All the places we went are worth it to see, I would skip the first shop though. En general, I definitely recommend it
It was pretty good. The guide Tim was very nice and knowledgeable Thank you. Unfortunately though dinner was not even with a soft drink or a water and they did make you pay for a drink that was overpriced
