I enjoy the trip. to Huế city and the Citadel and have spent a good time in Huế. The tour guide “Vân” is pleasant and cheerful and also has the sense of humour. She goes beyond to satisfy the customers’ needs, taking the photo for everyone in the tour group. She is knowledgeable about the Citadel and the Nguyễn dynasty. The driver Chat is an excellent driver , he brings all of us to different locations in Huế & drive safely back to Đà Nẳng. I would recommend to book the trip to Huế city & the Citadel with Trip Advisor.

Everything was planned really well from the pre trip communication to the driver pickup. Van was an amazing host who managed the whole day so well. It was the perfect length for a day trip and included a great lunch
Enjoyed having Van as our guide, she was very funny and friendly. Chat as our driver expertly navigated us to our destinations. Pickup from the hotel was punctual, we were brought to the train station and destinations in an organized manner. Lunch was good and Van was kind enough to provide an alternative meal for us since we couldn't eat beef. Super thoughtful! Our Hue day trip was a great experience and definitely one for the history lovers! We explored the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City, the Emperor’s private residence, and Khai Dinh Tomb, and learned more about Vietnam’s last dynasty, the Nguyen Dynasty. Our tour guide, Van, was knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information about each place we visited. She really helped us understand the history behind the sites. If you’re not into walking, you might miss out on a lot because you really need to walk around to properly explore and appreciate the place. But overall, it was a worthwhile experience and we’re glad we did it. Just wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and be ready to walk!

His explanations were engaging and informative, and his passion for sharing the history and culture of his country made the tour all the more memorable. What I particularly appreciated was the opportunity to learn about the historical significance of the places we visited, rather than simply stopping to take photographs. Van helped us understand the stories behind these remarkable locations, which made the experience much more meaningful. tl;dr - for the nomads, if you only have one day and you are debating, just do it. It’s a good taster of Hue and you get to learn about Vietnam. Full Review- After travelling around Vietnam for a few weeks now I felt that I needed to learn more about the Vietnamese people and their history. So although I usually steer clear of tours, after reading the good reviews I decided to give it a go. And I’m very satisfied. We went through the Hai Van Pass that I wanted to see and stopped to take photos. We went through the famous Japanese Tunnel. And we saw the Imperial city, the perfume river, the most famous Pagoda and the Emperor’s tomb. Essentially ticking all the boxes for a Hue taster in one day. The journey was comfortable with cold water provided and a small group in a minivan. The highlight of the tour was our guide, Van. It’s not the standard information about the history of the palace that was necessarily what made the experience more special. But rather the fun facts that Van knew to mention along the way about Hue, its resources, how people live there, the differences between different people in Vietnam and some of their beliefs. I now feel that I know the country I am travelling in a lot better. Van knew exactly what each person in the group needed; whether friendly banter, giving travel tips, answering questions, or, of course, even doing full photoshoots for us. I think she was able to keep every person in our group well looked after. And that is something not every tour guide has the intuition to do! I wish the rest of my tours I’ve taken in my life were this well organised.

A great day. Van our guide had so much information and history to share with us. The lunch was suppured, so much variety, lovely and fresh and good to be able to try different vietnamese food. Overall it was a great experience with lots of history about the royal family and great views. I went in September and there was very few crowds or people on the tour. Van was such a fun and knowledgeable tour guide knowing a lot about history and giving funny and interesting stories about the places we went to and had an energetic vibe. Would recommend 👌
Our tour guide, Nguyen Thao Van, was super friendly and spoke fluently in English. She was very knowledgeable about the history of all the attractions we visited and made the tour both interesting and enjoyable. We had a great experience with her! The lunch provided was also good. Overall, we really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.
Once I had booked the tour, I received great communications from the tour site. Hotel pickup was timely and transfer to train was easy. The air conditioned train ride was an interesting experience and well worth it. Water was provided and there were plugins to charge phones. Our tour guide, Van, who met us at the train station was excellent. She provided detail explanations of the history meanings along each step of the way. The included lunch was plentiful, delicious and had many different types of local food. There were several options available for those who did not each meats. There was plenty of time at each stop to take pictures and enjoy the site.
Experience was really good. Tour guide (Van) was very knowledgeable, friendly. Driver (Lynh) was brilliant as well driving safely, great there was air con, cold refreshments. The tour was very organized and very fun. From the start to the end it was very informational and there was ample time to take photos or videos. The entrance fees, food, and water were provided so it was good. A cold clean wet tissue went a long way given there was a lot of walking

Miss Van is an amazing tour guide and a lively and bubbly person. Miss Van not only has deep knowledge of the history and culture of Hue but also speaks exceptional English. We had a lovely experience on the tour and were treated to a delicious and plentiful lunch that catered to various dietary needs and allergies. The admission fee for all monuments is included in the cost of the tour, thus saving any hassles on the day. The length of the tour is appropriate to ensure that all major sites are covered leaving ample time to wander on own accord and take pictures. Miss Van is also an amazing photographer. Mr Chat who was our driver was very helpful, kind and took great care of us. We were offered cold water at every major spot. Overall, we had a fantastic experience on the tour and would recommend it to anyone who visits Da Nang, Hoi An or Hue.

We really enjoyed our tour! It covered all the highlights of Hue, and the Heritage Train ride was also stunning (don't get discouraged when you're passing a huge construction site - the view is gonna get better haha). Special thanks to our tour guide - Thinh. He really set the mood with his humorous attitude and made everyone feel very welcome.
