Tour felt rushed, during all the tours I have been to in Vietnam it was hard to understand to our guide Scott who tried hard to be engaging with little luck. I booked this tour specifically to learn more about Hue’s history and left disappointed.

The bus ride is long to get to Hue City but once you get there the experience is amazing. The history is fascinating and the sites were very well explained by our guide. The lunch was very good.
this tour isn't quite as advertised. details said pick up at 800 and return 1730. in reality I was picked up at 0730 and would not have got back until 1900. I had to get off the bus early and get a taxi back to my hotel as I had another commitment. We also made a random stop at the beginning to a pearl shop where you were hassled to buy pearls. This was not in the itinerary. That said the lunch was delicious and the vist to the tomb and the citadel were good. Just don't plan anything else that day!
The weather was very good that day, the tour guide Hieu explained in detail, let us understand the history and culture of the imperial city, each scenic spot has enough visiting time, and the itinerary is very fulfilling. The lunch is good, the Vietnamese appetizers are unique and delicious, the main meal tastes average, and there is also a fruit plate, overall it is okay.Highly recommended
Had a great day trip from Danang to Hue. Really enjoyed the freedom to explore each location on our own after a quick and informative introduction from the guide. Could have done without the whistle stops at the pearl store and sweet shop. Lunch stop was fabulous.
This was a full 11 hour trip. I think the 2 stops in the morning were annoying for pearls and essential oils and a waste of time. Other than that the guide, Quick was good and did his best to keep the group moving. The sites of course were very good.
Great trip; our tour guide, Tim was fantastic. The children enjoyed learning experience; plenty of water provided and the lunch as very nice experience
This was an amazing day tour of Hue! From the moment we left, everything was well organized. The guide was super knowledgeable and shared interesting stories about the Nguyen Dynasty, the imperial palace, and the temples. I especially loved visiting Thien Mu Pagoda and Khai Dinh’s Tomb — the mix of architecture styles was stunning. The lunch was a real treat with authentic Hue cuisine served at a cozy local restaurant. It was also nice that the group was small, which made everything feel more personal and smooth. This tour is a great way to dive into Hue’s rich history and culture, even if you only have one day. Definitely worth it!
10 minutes before the bus was to arrive at my hotel the company rang me and told me that the tour had been over booked and that I would have to go the next day. I strongly protested and was eventually offered another tour but much of the tour was information was explained in Vietmanese not English. The tour guides were nice people but I had booked this tour two months before and I found the attitude of the company unacceptable.
Great day out with a small group and fun guide. Interesting places, fantastic commentary and a superb lunch. Time to wander on your own also
Very interesting tour around parts of Hue and a very delicious lunch. The guide was very knowledgeable, helpful and has a good sense of humour.
Packed visit with loads of activities. Friendly guide who was very knowledgeable. A great day out Very highly recommended.
Good tour, I really liked the fact they leave us to decide what we want to do, or take some pictures at every step The bus was also in good condition
Very interesting tour. Lots of history and impressive buildings. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. We went to the citadel, a Pagoda and a tomb.
Good basic tour to Hue. All entry fees paid. Great guide. Two stops at pearl and oil shops on the way made for a long journey to Hue. Good vehicle and good sized group. Communal lunch was not particularly palatable for everyone.
The trip, driver, guide, lunch were all great. Very interesting tour. Our guide spoke English well and was very friendly.
Thanks for nice experience! Our guide Dee was the best guide ever. He was pointing out nice details about the places, so it was easy to pay attention. Plus- he is a good photoraf, he made us all pictures and they are very good.
The trip was very well organized. Our tourguide picked us up at our hotel at the exact time thet told us they would. On the road to Hue, he told us many interestimg facts about the things we were about to see. We also stopped at a Vinpearl Shop with a short presentation about pearls and a shop and workshop with healing oils - were we could buy different oils for different remedies. The Imlerial City of Hue itself is quite the experince, bit like the Forbidden City in Beijing, but obviously much smaller. Our guide, Mr. Dee, is a local, so he told us interesting facts all along. The Pagoda and the Tomb of the Emperor were also quite a sight. And the lunch we had was exquisite and plenty. All in all, for 56 bucks you get transportation to Hue, lunch and you visit many tourist attractions. Would recommend 100%!
The trip was amazing. Smooth drive. The tour guide, Dee, was knowledgeable on the stories of the places. Funny, smart and caring as well.
The tour was fabulous. The river was smooth. Vehicle was cool. The tour guide, Dee, is so knowledgeable on places we visited. Highly recommended
Lovely engaging guide It was worth it to have a small group visit, much more time efficient I was very happy that collection and drop off was available from my hotel
Our 1-day trip to Hue was truly memorable for me and my family. Although we spent quite some time on the bus, the stunning scenery along the way made the journey enjoyable. I was especially impressed by the local cuisine—diverse dishes with sweet-flavored sauces that perfectly suited my taste. The people were kind and genuine, and even the souvenir vendors were sincere and friendly. Our tour guide was professional, knowledgeable, and humorous, making the history of the Hue Imperial City come alive. Their excellent English and engaging storytelling made the trip even more enjoyable. This was truly an experience we’ll always cherish.
Trip to Hue with guided tour of three major attractions and a restaurant meal. Above average, in general, with my main gripe being that more than half the time is spent in the bus. Maybe a short stop on the way back for photos, or some commentary around the area could've made the 2+h return trip less tedious. In total probably around 5+h bus time depending on when in the sequence of events you are picked up or dropped off.
We were picked up from our hotel at 8 am and returned at around 6 pm, so quite a long day. The tour was well organised by the guide. Lunch was included which was fine. Overall the tour was good, although a little slow for us…
Trip was nice and well coordinated. Our guide was very helpful in explaining everything and helping us. We enjoy a lot. Timings were little early for us.
I must suggest this as the coordination and timings punctionality is very well. The tour was amazing and we enjoyed a lot.
Trip was very well organised. Bus and guide were on time for pickup. Guide was English speaking and able to communicate well with us. Nice places to see. Lunch was excellent.
Well organised tour. We were picked up on time from the hotel, knowledgeable guide and nice attractions to visit and see.
The pick-up time was confirmed the day before, giving me peace of mind, and the arrived right on schedule. Our guide skillfully combined visits to must-see locations with captivating stories about the vibrant lives of Vietnamese royalty, making the journey both engaging and enriching. From start to finish, the service was Impeccable. Of all the places we visited, the Hue Imperial City stood out as the most unforgettable, leaving me in awe of its grandeur and historical depth. The guide’s warmth and professionalism made the day even more enjoyable, and they kindly accommodated my request to be dropped off at a shopping mall on the return trip-a gesture I deeply appreciated.
Our tour guide's passion and knowledge brought Hue's heritage to life, captivating us with her enthusiasm as a proud local. The tour's highlights: Khai Dinh Tomb, Thien Mu Pagoda, and Hue Citadel offered a unique glimpse into Vietnam's royal past, from intricate mosaics to serene beauty and imperal grandeur. Her flexibility and thoughyfulness stood out as she gave us time to explore, answered all our questions, and even took photos for us, fostering a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. She even went the extra mile by taking photos for us and sharing them afterward, saving us the hassle of using selfie sticks or tripods. An unforgettable experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting Hue!
I really enjoyed this tour and was able to know a lot about the history of Hue City. Hana is our tour guide was really knowledgeable and knows what she is doing. She also takes quality photos which is a plus! Overall, it was a great experience and a must booked tour when you are in Da Nang.Hue is such a beautiful place. The history and culture of Hue is truly rich, controversial, but very insightful. That is only 40% of the reason why I rated this a 5/5. The remaining was because of our dear tour guide hana who made this trip memorable. She was very knowledgeable and can probably walk through the imperial palace with her eyes closed. Thanks to Hana and her occassional jokes that were truly a hit to us.
It was a great trip, one I’ll remember for a long time. Everything went smoothly, and the overall cost was quite affordable, which made it even better. I got to see everything I had hoped to explore.
This tour was MEDIOCRE, in every sense - transportation, sites, guide, etc. Please avoid and use other tours. 10+ hours of mid-ness!!
Highly recommended .Book this tour you will not regret it,Tom, the guide was very pleasant and funny guide, also very attentive and helpful. I had a great experience and learned alot about the history and culture of the locations visited on tour. The bus ride was also very comfortable and scenic and luckily very cool weather made the walk really enjoyable. lunch was delicious too and beautiful location.Big Thanks
The weather was perfect, which added to the enjoyment of the day. our guide was fantastic-knowledgeable and passionate about Vietnam’s last dynasty. He shared detailed stories about how Hue served as the imperial capital and the significance of each site we visited. The itinerary was well-organized, starting with the Hue Imperial Citadel in the morning and continuing with Thien Mu Pagoda, Khai Dinh’s Tomb, and the incense stick village in the afternoon. we also enjoyed breathtaking views from Hai Van Pass. Each location was given ample visiting time, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience without feeling rushed. Lunch was a mix of unique Vietnamese appetizers, a decent main course, and a refreshing fruit plate. Overall, this tour offered a perfect blend of history, culture, and beautiful scenery, making it highly recommended for anyone visiting Hue or interested in Vietnam’s imperial heritage.
Fluent in English and deeply knowledgeable about Vietnam’s history, He was accommodating and ensured everything ran smoothly. The trip included a visit to a beautiful pagoda, a serene tomb, and an impressive place. While the first stop was a bit crowded, the rest were quiet, allowing us to fully enjoy the sites. The schedule was well-planned, with a comfortable bus and convenient pick-up and drop-off services directly at our hotel. Lunch was a standout moment, featuring delicious local dishes. the flexibility to end the tour at our Hue hotel instead of returning to Da Nang was a thoughtful touch. Overall, this was a seamless and enjoyable journey, highly recommended for anyone exploring Central Vietnam
The tour guide was fantastic-knowledgeable, engaging, and fluent in English. His insights into Vietnamese history, culture, and religion brought Hue’s imperial past to life. We explored the imperial city and the tomb of the 12th king, learning about royal families, the symbolism in carvings and paintings, and historical events from Vietnam’s pre-colonial era through French colonization and beyond. The tour was well-structured, allowing enough time for photos, exploration, and a destination worth the journey. I’m already looking forward to spending more time there on my next visit
Company never showed up. Tried contacting them many times. No response. Do not sign up with this company. Maybe they are going out of business.
Quick was amazing in guiding both in Vietnamese and English. The tour was super well planned with all major stops that you need to see in Hue. On top we made several stops to try local sweets and other interesting souvenirs all made local. Lunch was very good too. This was one of the best tours I have done and all thanks to our great tour guide.
Our guide was really great and spoke pretty good English 👍 He gave us a lot of insights about the citadel and the mausoleum. Please note that only 30 percent of the original structures in Hue are still intact, also some buildings are currently restored due to a typhoon. Apart from that we made a stop at a pearl and oil farm.
Well organised and informative. Driving in Vietnam is nail biting to say the least, but we did get to and fro in one piece which was a bonus. Would have had less anxiety if the shuttle bus had seatbelts. The guide was great. Wish everyone was more inspired to tip them, as the wage is so low in Vietnam and any tip of kindness is so appreciated.
Be prepared for a long drive (which we were). All the places were amazing. So many building to see and so much information provided the entire time. All the places were visited had so much history and the tour guide gave us so much information it was definitely worth the drive out there. It was only 3 stops but we spent so much time in those places and it was incredible
Really enjoyed taking a trip which I thought was an ancient structure but turned out to be very recent in history! A fascinating spectacle of thr City of Hue!
The tour was on time. The tour guide was good on communicating the pick up time. The tour guide was knowledgeable and gave the tour group time between each site. He was kind to take pictures for everyone. I personally loved Hue.
The guide Mr.Dee was excellent he explained in full detail when asked. Sites were excellent, service excellent and the lunch which included a diversity of different dishes. Over all great time and smooth.
Tour was great, knowleageable guide, Nhi was very friendly, Nice tour, takes you to all the main sights in Hue. The tour guide was friendly and helpful. The schedule differs to the one listed, we were back by 3pm, but this still allowed for plenty of free time at each stop. The lunch was nice. Many Thanks
Di was a great hide and the driver really good too. Generous tour with many places to discover and the food at the restaurant was delicious too. All was well arranged and Di handled the big group very well although it was a mix of locals and foreigners. My personal opinion is that it would have been better to have one language to handle as it creates a lot of waiting time while translating and answer questions, but that’s me. Overall, very nice experience and generous. Strongly recommend!
Having lunch and interacting with fellow guests. Our guide was informative, as expected, but also quite accommodating considering the neat record heat during our day trip.
Agent called on wrong date. Tour started half hour late without informing. The bus was too small and aircon not working well
They picked me up at 7:45 but we arrived in Hue 11:30am. Almost 4 hours trip because they stopped in 2 shops for people to buy pearls and oils. We arrived in the peak hot hour and the visit to the Palace (the most interesting thing to do there) was very quick and unpleasant. The lunch was also very bad. Not recommended!!!
