Han River Cruise Review 🚢 “Honestly, not worth it. It feels like a mini, poorly executed version of the Chao Phraya cruise and doesn’t really serve the purpose. The Dragon Bridge show was disappointing and I regretted getting trapped on the cruise. For a better view, it’s much smarter to just stand on the bridge itself (though the show isn’t anything extraordinary). The cruise boats stay far away from the bridge because of heavy competition among vessels for viewing spots. Overall, not recommended.”

We had a fantastic cruise to see the Dragon Bridge. The Captain stopped the boat directly in front of the head of the dragon and we had a ring side seat for the flames to shoot from the dragons mouth. The entertainment onboard was beautiful and my wife and I enjoyed the night immensely. Highly recommend this cruise to all.
Don’t waste your time or money taking this cruise. Slowest boat out on water. Ducks can paddle faster than this. Left at 8pm and finally docked at 10.30pm. Nothing spectacular. To be honest had we known, we would have had a much better experience standing on the paths or bridge to view lights and the dragon breathing fire. Music blaring so loud you need to shout to hear each other. Worst thing we did in Danang.
Maybe we were unlucky will never know the answer our trip was cancelled the previous Saturday something about a festival 🤷♂️ we rebooked for following Friday only to be told 6 hours before that the dragon display was cancelled to morn some famous person then to cap it all it left the harbour 30 minutes late On the pluss side it had a large upper deck and staff worked hard to serve you
I am unable to review this tour as it was cancelled due to inclement weather. On my next time here I will book it again and amend this review accordingly
Unorganised, says there is a show. - one lady singing one song, who we could not see from a seating point of view. Serving alcohol, but No white wine at all.
Ok so the cruise along the river looking at the sites is perfectly fine but you could sit in a dingy and it would be the same the reason I’ve given such a low rating is due to two things. 1: No sooner had I booked it I received a message saying that there wasn’t a show but I could have an extra drink which was ok but just say when booking. I presume the show was cancelled due to hardly any passengers. 2: This boat looks like it needed fixing up twenty years ago, honestly it’s drab. All the other boats are colourfully lit up and this one looks as if it’s carrying refugees, the stair rails are loose, furniture from 1980 something, paint peeling and seriously watch which surfaces you touch as it’s filthy. Oh and if it rains take a coat because the fold out roof is broken. It’s cheap and the sites are the same no matter how you travel but just know there are better boats that you can go on.
Booking was very easy. We opted for the yacht cruise that starts two hours earlier, hoping it would be a smaller crowd and therefore better experience. We received the confirmation mail and everything was in good order, except the advised time to be at the pier referred to the later cruise instead of the yacht cruise. Unfortunately, next day we got informed that the yacht cruise had to be cancelled due to necessary repairs on the yacht and we were offered re-scheduling to the 8pm cruise or a full refund. Staff was very friendly and apologetic about the inconvenience so we re-scheduled for the 8pm cruise. Check-in and boarding was easy, we were offered probably the best seats on the boat right at the bow and the order for the drinks included in the tour was taken. The boat was not very busy, probably a dozen more guests that were spread out over the whole ship. It was a weekday, so the dragon wasn’t spitting fire which was probably a reason for the smaller crowd. We started right on time and the cruise took about 1 hour 15min.
Booked the cruise for my brother to enjoy the lights and peaceful river cruise for an hour. Upon arriving at the counter where I had pre booked tickets, was directed to the boat. We were guided to the upper deck with seating at the front. The cruise began at 2020hrs and headed up slowly to the Ferris wheel of Asia park and then back to view the dragon bridge fire show. We were served a beer at the beginning and enjoyed the relaxing crusie for the hour. A pleasurable experience
Extreme disappointment. Paid the premium price for the Yacht and it fell well short from delivering a pleasant premium experience. Service was non existent, locals were served with priority, language barriers were a problem so it was easier to ignore us, limited service staff who could only make juice, a bar with no stock of key items, one life jacket for every second person and the toilets were beyond foul and could not be locked. This place needs a lot of work before the current price becomes reasonable.
The trip started late by about 25 minutes. The intention was to see the golden bridge dragon breathing fire which we did and had a good view. Sadly the boat returned to the jetty without waiting to see the firework display which was a shame and I think there was time to have waited. Overall not bad value for money.
it was one of the most enjoyable experiences for me and my family, we had a fun night on this Han Cruise, we had a delicious local beer. We really enjoyed seeing the beautiful scenery of both banks of the Han River and chatting together.
I had such a wonderful experience here, it was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is incredible, and the staff is exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Every detail is thoughtfully curated to provide an outstanding experience. The activities available are diverse and cater to all interests, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. The environment is beautiful, and I found myself constantly amazed by the stunning surroundings. I highly recommend that everyone comes here to experience it for themselves. You won't be disappointed. It's an experience that you'll treasure forever
I really love this atmosphere, it's so comfortable and pleasant for someone who likes peace like me, I had a wonderful night with a can of traditional beer.
Coming to Da Nang, I probably had to ride a dragon boat. It brought unforgettable impressions to me and my family. I was able to immerse myself in the cool air on the Han River and watch the shimmering bridges.
The ship is spacious and luxurious, with relaxing music. Very good beer, attentive service. I like it so much. Highly recommend that you experience this service.
When I read reviews and I understood that these guests just paid for 13 usd with local beer and 1 hour Cruise riding but they expect so much. In our country beer already 1 can with 10 usd when you drink home. It means that they expect more than they paid. We had a wonderful trip with a hour to overview city with chilling cold beer. Highly Recomended.
Cruise was supposed to start at 8pm so we hab to be at the meeting point at 7.30pm. Once on board we were shown the menu for drinks where you had the choice of one included beverage like water or a soft drink. Other drinks could be purchased on board for reasonable prices. The cruise actually started around 8.50pm. so we've been on board for about an hour. Cause the crew was still managing to fill up the boat with passengers. When it started raining everyone was getting downstairs cause on the upper deck was no rain cover. So it got a little crowded and cramped down there. We made it just in time to see the dragon bridge show. The cruise itself was quite boring. The were some building giving a led show on their facade but that's all there to see. The trip lasted about 45min. All in all definitively not worth 13$. I recommend just going to the dragon bridge or a near by pier to enjoy the dragon bridge show. Saves you money and waiting time.
Not to be recommended. Time not puctual for cruising. No snack as mentioned got. Service not good. Boarding not very good as stated. Performance not enough
After reading the negative reviews I was hesitant to book but we just wanted to see the dragon bridge performance and for the cost I thought how bad could it be for an hour. Well it was perfect, because at was good, view was good, service was good and staff polite but busy. Read the reviews again and I think those people bought the ticket for a river cruise. For the cost and what we wanted it was great, want a scenic river cruise pay an appropriate fee.
Every site discussing things to see in Da Nang mention the bridges at night. This tour has them all. The boats are brightly lit up and fun to look at. The bridges are lit up and interesting architecture. The music on the boat was a fun mixture of 80s movies music and Vietnamese music and technopop. There was an included drink in the cost and you could buy more if you wanted. The 1 1/2 hour cruise was definitely worth the small cost and fun!
Left before disembarking. Totally disappointed, they had assigned seating and we didn’t like our location even though we were one of the first on the boat. Staff was not friendly, but this could have been a language issue. We definitely were not happy. Pass on the cruise and just walk across the dragon bridge for a great view of the fire-breathing dragon.
Loved the light beer and the mellow boat trip and of course the phenomenal dragon what more can I say ,............,..
The dragon bridge Cruise was boring we were not allowed to sit upstairs as people had booked up there for dinner which wasn’t clear on application for cruise
This was a bit of a mess. Told to dock the boat at 7:45 for a 8pm departure. We sat in the port until 8:30 (for a 9pm fire show). I was sat at a small single table with an older couple. An attendant served them and not me, and when I followed up later about my free drink, she tried to charge me for it. The traditional dance was performed while people were still being seated and we hadn't left the port yet. The river is OVERLOADED with similar boats trying to get a view of the Dragon Bridge, so it's a race to get a good spot which we obviously didn't get. The show only goes for a few minutes so sitting on the boat for 90 mins didn't feel worth it. Only good thing was chatting to other guests on the boat. This would have been a better experience waiting on the bridge underneath the dragon head instead. This is just a tourist scam, don't waste your money, no matter how cheap the ticket is.
Absolute joke booked tickets - travelled to area for boat then received a cancellation message from trip advisor - do not use trip advisor or this shabby outfit for the boat trip!
Racist Awful People. When I get on the boat the staff start discussing vigorously then tell me there's no space for me and put me behind the bar with people who are running around working. I then see they giving white people actual seats. I argue and suddenly no one knows anything. As I'm trying to find an actual seat the staff keep telling me "not for you" but then sit white people who arrive. Then they proceeded to ignore me when I wanted a drink. No amount of waving or calling got them away from the whites. Absolutely disgusting!
Very disorganised boarding. We had top deck access but it was raining and they hadn't pulled the covers over. They made us sit in the bottom level of the boat which was really crowded. They didn't seem to understand the viator ticket. As had to do google translate to get the beer. The traditional dance was one lady, not in costume and pretty average and basic steps. We went on top deck layer and found They had pulled covers over and it was packed. Had difficulty fi ding somewhere to stand. Only would recommend to do because of price and to see dragon fire on weekend
Lovely evening Nice staff Good atmosphere No commenter so not good for anyone wanting information Smaller boats get alot closer to dragon
Too noisy, too far from dragon. My coctails were only 3/4 full, was supposed to start at 8, never left dock till 830
Nice cruise, beautiful lights but rude customer service. We booked cruise, arrived and were told by a rather rude lady there we were at the wrong place. Needed to go to a different dock. Even though our e-ticket named the boat and meeting place. Even had a picture of the boat. Taxi rides back and forth. Lady was still very rude even when we showed her the picture, email etc. Finally she called a gentleman over and he looked at our ticket and issued us our ticket. Nice cruise but no free beer as per the ticket
A fun and very relaxing way to see the city riverfront at night. Beautiful! Highly recommend this trip, it’s a great value.
请大家不要相信这网上预定的活动,在booking.com预定了船票就先预付,结果去到现场没发船,也找不到负责人退款,希望大家不要上当。 Please don't believe this activity booked online. You have to pre-pay for the ferry tickets on booking.com. As a result, the boat was not dispatched at the scene, and the person in charge could not find a refund. I hope you don't be fooled
We chose the 'Tradicitonal' Dragon River cruise to experience the beautiful bridges on Da Nang. The cruise itself was a wonderful experience. The night wad cool but not cold and the views were amazing. We chose not to go for the dinner as it was only 1.5 hours so we settled for drinks. The staff were kind and courteous and were attentive to our needs. Definitely recommend this ad a must do in Da Nang.
The actual river cruise was very pleasant. However the experience was spoilt by incorrect advertising. The trip was promoted by Tripadvisor/Viator to be the cruise and dinner, which we considered to be good value for $34.00. However on arrival, we were informed this was not the case and had to pay extra for a mediocre meal. In addition, friends wished to come with us, but the site stated the trip was fully booked. This was not the case, there were no more than 20 on board. My advise, do not book in advance, arrive and pay directly on board.
The adventure is valuable experiences to me. I have the chace to discover the scenic of beauty in Da Nang with kindful girls.I also take a lot of photos about dragon bridge and others
Calm slow cruise between bridges on the Han river. Very quick dinner service (as soon as you sit down) - quite average cuisine. Loud pop music all the while. Viet traditional dancers were memorizing - wish this had been a bit more of a theme for the night. Tbh, nice dinner, drinks and a walk riverside would have been equally impressive.
Thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed, slow cruise up and down the river. The dragon bridge was very impressive and the fire breathing was very cool! We enjoyed a glass of wine whilst cruising. The only disappointing part was, there was no information given. It would have been interesting to have some commentary about the bridge, city or river. We had loud pop music playing which didn't add to the overall experience.
Moved about 2 km up and down the river, a few minutes of the Dragon breathing, poor seating, terrible food. One of the least interesting city cruises I have ever done. Rather watch the Dragon Bridge from the street - even then it is hugely underwhelming.
While visiting friends in the city of Da Nang, we all went on this particular river cruise one evening.. It takes you very slowly and calmly up and down the river, ( I point this particular point out, because other such experiences doing the same river trip, appear too be on a mission to get just zip around the area and be done with.) This trip allows you to look and bridges that take colour and calmly take pictures.. If you keep an eye on the river itself, you may see local fishermen trying too make their living out in their small craft.. The boat you sail on isn't anything eye catching but the staff all wear crisp white uniforms and are very polite and happy too great you.. This isn't a MUST do if you're in Da Nang..but if you fancy a quiet 1hr 15mins of you time, and cheap at £8 pp, then go enjoy it..
Cruise was good. Pretty sights except that the crews on the cruise was not very information. Eveeyone was disappointment as we didn't get to see the Dragon Bridge spit fire. That was the main reason people would buy to go on the cruise to watch the Dragon Bridge blow fire!
I only gave one as it wouldn't let me do none. My hotel booked a reservation for two of us for the 8pm cruise when we got there they claimed we had no reservations and would not fit us on I was standing next to the concierge when making the booking so I know it was done. We wasted our time and money travelling to the cruise only to be turned away without an apology . will not be recommending.
I was totally satisfied with what I experienced during this tour. It will be really great if you join this amazing tour with cute and friendly aodai riders. You will be amazed with the beaty of Danang at night on a big boat taking you along the Han river and across beautiful bridges. And you will have many unforgettable experiences. I will come back Danang and book another tour with the Aodais.
Wonderful trip!!! We went around Da Nang with incredible views, sat on the motobike and got a in dept experience of the city, saw Han river and Dragon bridge in night, The lady guides were so informative, kind and enthusiastic!!
It is a good experience with colorful Da Nang at night with Bridges, buildings on the Han river. We also watch Charm dances on the shippp. very good ❤️
Great way to see the beauty of Danang at night! We all loved that monents and never forget. See you next time beautiful Danang ❤❤❤
A great, laid back way to cruise the Han River, culminating with the Dragon Bridge "spitting" fire and water promptly at 9pm. Keep in mind, this is only on the weekends, but I recommend the cruise anyway, as it is a nice, relaxing way to take in all the sights and sounds of Da Nang at night.
Excellent way to see Da Nang. Sunday night a must as Dragon bridge has smoke and fire. Easy to find departure point. Staff helpful and courteous. Great way to spend 90 minutes. Would do this again.
A nice boat trip, with a nice trip in the dark after 18.00. Good service on the boat. we had a dinner at an okay price. If there is anything negative, the journey could have been longer by about 1 hour.
