The tour had a somewhat confusing start. The pick-up was fine, but the arrangements at the dock were unclear and we were shuffled onto a boat for around 25 minutes without much explanation. Our guide also spoke very little English, so communication was mainly through translation on her phone, which made it difficult to understand the itinerary initially. However, once we got going, the day turned out to be quite enjoyable. We travelled by boat to another beach, went snorkelling from the boat, and had a simple but tasty Vietnamese lunch. We then had some relaxing time on the beach before returning to Hoi An. So overall a good experience after.

This tour is worth only if you like the fumes from boats, disorganised guides and crowds.
Beautiful beach and great food. Snorkeling is ok, but only 45 min. Value for money for a family who wants a getaway :)
Driver arrived on time, but was raining, and bad visibility. All was professional and would recommend just check weather before you go. Snorkeling area is good for beginners, coral was okay but not too much wildlife. I loved the authentic lunch, was definitely one on my favourites on the trip.
Excellent sites and if you love snorkeling this is very much for you to go. I will recommend this to everyone
Pick up was punctual in a bus that was comfortable, driver was smooth and ride smooth Boat ride fantastic snorkling ok thogh the current was very strong Food ok
Our excursion to Cham Island was unfortunately a disappointing experience from start to finish. The tour felt disorganized and poorly managed, and it did not live up to what was advertised. After booking, I was unexpectedly charged an additional 200,000 VND a month later, then notified just two days before the trip about another surcharge due to “fuel costs.” Once we were picked up, it became clear we had also been charged extra for a separate driver—even though our hotel was supposedly included in the free pickup zone. The lack of transparency around pricing was frustrating. The tour itself was chaotic. Multiple groups were combined, and there didn’t seem to be a clear plan or coordination. We were shuffled between different guides throughout the day, which added to the confusion. The boat ride to the island, which took about 30 minutes, was uncomfortable due to heavy exhaust fumes that caused many passengers to cough and gag. Once on the island, the “city tour” consisted of a brief stop in an area with very little to see or do—mostly small vendors clearly geared toward getting tourists to spend money. Most people were ready to leave almost immediately. We were then taken to a beach for about 30 minutes, only to be rushed back onto the boat for a short 45-minute snorkeling session, and then returned again to the same beach for lunch. In total, we spent only about three hours on the island, which felt like a waste given the amount of time and money involved. The food provided was underwhelming, and many in our group barely ate. The staff appeared rushed, disorganized, and at times loud, and it often seemed like they were unsure of what was happening next. Overall, this tour felt like a disjointed, rushed experience that prioritized moving people through quickly rather than providing an enjoyable or memorable day. I would not recommend this excursion. You’re better off saving your money and visiting a beach club near Da Nang or Hoi An instead.
Easy pick up , knowledgable guide and fun day out. The boat ride was comfortable and safe as we had good weather conditions. Nice to have free afternoon time to relax on the beach
Pros: Great food ( better than expected, come hungry for a Vietnamese feast), knowledgeable guide and reliable transport (from hotel, to the island and back). Make sure to follow the guides rules about times and meeting places and you won't be disappointed. Don't be late! Negatives: none!
The trip was great, your guide was amazing. The snorkelling is decent but the the snorkels they give you are really dirty so bring your own if you can.
This is an action packed day with non-stop entertaining activities. Vy was a great guide - knowledgeable, patient and cheerful
I had a very nice day exploring, swimming, sightseeing, eating, relaxing and snorkeling!!! Next time I'll try over night!
Great from start to finish , lunch was amazing! Snorkelling was fun although not heaps of fish but still good, really relaxing day monkeys were funny!
Don't go there!!! all sunchairs are damaged, the beach is dirty and i saw 2 Person which can't walk alone after Eutingen the food. Boats are overloaded, its like bringing meat from one place to the other. It was only a win for the organizer but not for US....
Absolutely Amazing,,,Tour guide exceptional! Learnt so much about the history of the Cham Island. Wished I could stay there to discover more 😁
Had an amazing day today at Cham islands, miss Duyen aka miss banana was exceptional, very funny yet informative and always willing to help
We had an amazing day with Duyen. The island is beautiful wasn't crowded at all. We did snorkeling and the lunch was amazing. Highly recommend it.
Been to explore island just pity it was not bigger to hike see nice viewing points Lunch was great but felt for other guests for when monkeys were jumping on there tables stealing there food I seen one run away with food and a flip flop
We did had a great day in Cham island. The foods for lunch was good, I like that you have your own table. Special thank you to our tour guide, Nhân, he was very caring, make sure everyone is comfortable and I have to say that he’s well speaking in English. Overall worth of experience.
It was Avery well planned trip. cham Island is a unique place away from hustle bustle of city. The guide was very well informed and kept us updated on everything. Overall, it was a very good trip.
It was so nice!! So glad I did this tour. The Guide Mrs. Nam was the best. Always friendly and I could ask a lot of questions:)
The trip was great! Wonderful things to see that i would not have had the opportunity to see without the help of our friendly guide. It ended with a generous lunch made beachside with fish purchsed from the village. The beach itself was pristine.
Pros: The tour guide was very friendly and punctual. The food was authentic and decent. The water was cool, and there were a few interesting fish to look at. The boats are fast and get you from place to place as quickly as possible. Cons: We went for the snorkeling, it only lasted for 30 minutes. We traveled most of the day for 30 minutes of very basic snorkeling. This was a HUGE bummer. The rest of the time was spent seeing a temple (cool but very very crowded and built in the 1980's) and lounging at a loud, polluted beach. If you're in Vietnam for a week or so, and on a budget, this is a good option. You'll be exposed to a lot of culture in a short period of time. If you're a snorkeler/diver and you want a snorkeling/dive trip, don't take this tour. You won't see much and it's 30 minutes of in water time. It's cheap but like the title suggest... you'll get exactly what you pay for.
It may be advisable to choose a onother tour site. It was nice that we were picked up in DaNang. However our tour was more stops along the way- Before even getting on boat. Delay. Delay. Out English tour guide did not understand questions. Snorkeling was only 30 minutes and the masks provided to Chinese and locals all had rust. They then brought our standard of the masks with mouth breather for us. We had to clean them ourselves no fins were provided . There was little bleached out coral or fish to see. The beach for sunbathing had multiple pollution/plastic bags in the water. non-swimable Stay away from this provider of tour ....choose another
Really good day trip, An (our tourist guide) was very helpful and giving us info about everything. Lunch was amazing, very beautiful island.
The driver picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back in good time! The tour Was very helpful and made things very clear, giving us several activity options. Suggest you bring your own snorkels (theirs ones do not have the mouth piece). Food was provided and delicious (great variety). Overall experiece was fantastic! 10/10 and would recommend
It is a rather poor experience, although undoubtedly well organized. They pick you up in a minibus at the hotel, they take you to the port to catch a speedboat with two engines that fits about 25 people more or less. They take you to the island, they explain 19 minutes of history of the island and they release you for 15 minutes so you can fend for yourself around the pagoda/s, well there are two, after 15 minutes, with a whistle blow, back to the dock, they give you 5 minutes so that in some public restrooms, with the floor wet from... I don't know what, you put on your swimsuit. To the boat and still 2 stops at two boat/offices, one for those who at the last moment have decided to pay more and do sea walking (walking on the bottom with a diving helmet) or scuba diving. I didn't do any of that, just snorkeling, but a companion did scuba diving and explained to me that it was a disaster, that they wouldn't leave you alone and that they had you "tied up".... well, I don't want to be critical here, because I wasn't there. We arrived at the snorkeling area, 30 min maximum, murky water and a thousand people, of course there is murky water ..... with so many people... impossible. Then they take you to a beach bar where they give you food but first passing through the floating offices. The food is included and it is exquisite!!!! Although watch out, the drink is not included. Then a while at the beach, about 45 min and back to the origin, and back to the bus that takes you back to the hotel where they picked you up
Good organization of the tour. More time on the island would have been nice.
Super journée passée aux côtés de Tom, je recommande ! Le cadre était magnifique, la plongée se fait dans un belle endroit, le repas est très varié et le point fort selon moi c’est la récupération directement à notre appartement. Très bon rapport qualité prix, foncez !
For this price you can't expect too much and it wasn't. Snorkel site was mediocre. Cham island was okay. Tour guide was very friendly. Food was okay but nothing special. Also, as advertised, there would only be 28 participants in the end we were on the boat with almost 50 men.
I was fascinated by the rapidly developing Vietnam, its historical culture. I wanted to revisit it if I had the chance. The rush of building high-rise hotels seemed to be looking at Japan a long time ago. Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue was good. It was hot and hard. Kunihiko Kondo
Wow! What an experience. From hotel pickup to hotel drop-off = great! Miss 1 😉 and her team are great. You can communicate well and she explains well and understandably. The trip itself begins with the bus ride to Hoi An. There you have a few minutes to buy some more things like waterproof phone bags (should you have), groceries or bathing suits. Then it's time for the speedboat. 400 hp will take you to Cham Island in about 20 minutes. This ride alone is fun. On the island you are then taken to the village and given a short guided tour and then have some time to look around. Then we take the boat to a dreamlike bay - pure Caribbean. There you are asked if you want to snorkel or prefer "diving" (Extrafee 800k Dong - if you still want to have photos and videos taken, 200k extra). I decided to dive including photos without ever having used an oxygen bottle before. You then change there and get back into the boat, which then takes the divers to the dive centers (two boats) and drops them off there. Here gets a short introduction and a wetsuit. Then you get into the water where you are expected by your diving partner with the bottle. This is put on and then it starts. One should not expect free diving now. You're kept on a short leash. The partner holds you to 3 bottles all the time and swims with one through the reef worth seeing with lots of fish, starfish and sea cucumbers. If you want to go deeper, you can give a signal and it goes deeper. I think 4 or 5 meters was the maximum. So you dive for some time until you are taken to the booked photo op = a diver with GoPro. Here several photos and two videos were taken under instruction. Then it's back to base. Here you put the bottle down and still have the opportunity to snorkel freely. If you ask even without a life jacket and with fins. So you can still move freely before being picked up by Speedboat and brought back to the bay. Here you can then take a shower and then get a nice lunch. Afterwards you can swim or relax in the sea. Then move and return to Hoi An in 20 minutes. The tour then ends with the delivery to the hotel. I really, really liked the tour and I would do it again and again.
Vi hade en härlig dag. Bra resebolag och i liten grupp. Jättegod mat och trevliga människor. Fint väder
Two adults and two children applied because the children wanted to swim, but it was 80% sightseeing and 20% snorkeling. You should have checked the details before applying for a shallow beach swim and snorkeling from the boat. However, I think it is recommended if you are mainly sightseeing.
Snorkeling in Cu Lao Cham Island. It is definitely worth the excursion, as it is a lovely experience, even more if you travel in the fast boat
