Muong Thanh Grand Da Nang Hotel

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. We arrived early for check in on Friday August 21 of 2026, and we we're told to come back at 3pm. Not an issue. We had left our luggage there and decided to just roam around the area. We had booked two rooms and put our final deposit down on top of what we had already paid. Once we had returned to check-in (which was roughly 3:30pm). They accompanied us to our rooms. One of the rooms, upon entry, smelled immensely of cigarette smoke. I have a heart condition and let them know I cant stay in that room. Their solution to this was to call house service and have them spray the room with some type of fragrance to mask the smell/odor. I mentioned to them that this was totally unacceptable and was a poor tactic on their behalf. They then offered us another room on a different floor, fine. However that room was not even ready. At this point we just needed somewhere to rest and we had decided to pursue another hotel. This is now coming close to 5pm by the way, of nothing but excuses and run arounds. At this point they have already broken the contract. Because our check-in should have been 3pm. I understand not everything goes smoothly and adjustments need to be made. However, I feel like they just kept us there until they tried to find a solution to no avail, and at the same time he was trying to connect with the financial advisor to reverse our payment for both rooms. The supervisors name is : Dang Thien We still haven't received our refund for both rooms. We've decided to pursue this review because of that. I would not recommend this hotel, just alot of back and forth bs all while trying to keep us there and buy more time. So we kindly left and booked @ CN Palace Boutique! No issues there, they even knew our names and welcomed us as soon as we walked in. The hotel was gorgeous. We would not reccoment this hotel.

Our experience at the hotel was below our expectations. When we arrived, we had to wait three hours in the lobby before being assigned our room. The lobby was extremely hot, and there were no bellboys available to assist us with our luggage. When a large Vietnamese tour group arrived, the lobby became overcrowded and very noisy. The cleanliness also deteriorated. Several people were smoking cigarettes throughout the area despite it being a non-smoking zone. After we were finally given our room, we noticed that the hallways were also extremely hot, with little to no ventilation. Upon entering the room, the floor was still wet and had a sour mop odor. The bedding and curtains were noticeably dusty. The air conditioner’s sensor appeared to have been repaired, and its circuit board was left exposed. The bathroom sink had not been cleaned properly, and the bathtub had leaks. Overall, the room felt old and poorly maintained, especially considering the price we paid.

Worst Mường Thanh ever. I have been a loyal customer of Mường Thanh around VN but it stops here, now. Because of this location. 1. First night I came back to my room at 9:30pm just to find about 3 cockroaches going into my stuff. I demanded a change of room. They said my Deluxe King was the only room available at the moment so I have to downgrade and switch to twin bed room on another floor. It’s okay. I can manage. Better than living with cockroaches. The second room i got placed at is very old and bathtub has hole in it. Bathroom has very strong sewage smell. Room floor isn’t super clean. I have to request room service to mop the floor again but don’t think they did it. 2. This place has sewage smell. Badly. In your private room and even lobby area. Especially in the morning. Staff is nice and friendly to spray some air refresher but of course cannot stop the smell. Should offer some air purifier machine to refresh smell for guests room. 3. Too many tourists, more capacity than the hotel can handle. Breakfast in the morning often ran out of place to sit. 4. Location is about 10 mins grab ride to the beach. 5. Staff is nice but was not super helpful, probably because of too many tourists.
