Overall, the hotel was decent. I liked the room, it was comfortable, and the breakfast was quite good as well.
However, my impression was spoiled by what happened at check-out. I lost my key card and had no problem paying the 250,000 VND replacement fee. I only had Thai baht left, and the hotel exchanged it at around 700,000 VND per 1,000 THB, while the normal exchange rate outside was around 760,000–770,000 VND.
I understand that hotel exchange rates can be slightly worse, but this difference felt excessive, especially because the staff knew I needed to settle the payment before leaving and I had no other convenient option at that moment.
The hotel itself is fine, but this situation left a bad final impression.
This has become one of my favorite hotels in Vietnam 😍. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the breakfast is delicious and perfectly suited to my taste. The hotel’s interior is beautifully decorated with antique furnishings, creating a unique and charming atmosphere. I will definitely return on future visits. Highly recommended!
Liked that it's close to marketplaces and shops. The room however had a musty smell. It was clean for an old hotel, it's just really clear that the place has aged. And I think something in the room was still a bit moist from cleaning maybe before we went in.
The restaurant area and reception had great antique displays. It was like a museum.
Breakfast was so so.
Overall I think it doesn't quite live up to the 4-star rating, but as a place to stay for a quick visit and if you're going to be outside wandering most of the time, then it's good enough.
During our stay, we had an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel. A special mention goes to one of the bellboys who was incredibly helpful with our luggage during both check-in and check-out. He also took the initiative to inform us about the breakfast hours without us even having to ask. While I did not catch his name, his proactive service and outstanding hospitality truly stood out. (see attached photo) Congratulations to the team for maintaining such high standards—highly recommended!
We stayed at Dong Duong Hotel & Suites in Da Nang for 4 nights and had a brilliant experience from start to finish.
The hotel itself was spotless throughout everything felt clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The level of service really stood out, with staff going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly helpful, assisting with our bags from the car and taking them up to our rooms. Throughout our stay, they were always attentive opening doors when we left and returned, and making us feel genuinely welcome every time.
The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. It made a big difference and added to an already great stay.
Would definitely recommend Dong Duong Hotel & Suites to anyone visiting Da Nang!
