We stayed at Altara Suites for 2 weeks. We adored the apartments as they were beautiful ,comfortable, spacious and quiet. Everything you need for a relaxed family stay. Great having a washing machine and dryer. They are at the upper end of the beach strip, but there are plenty of restaurants and amenities within walking distance. Buffet breakfast was lovely and relaxed and the staff members at breakfast were really warm and friendly - great service. If we come back to Da Nang, we will stay here again👍 Da Nang is a wonderful city!
Great location. Easy walk to local attractions. A 24 hour convenience store in the building was great.
Lifts could be very slow though. Great roof top bar and very large pool. Lovely meals pool side.
A note is that there is high rise building next door to Altara and depending on where your room is you may not have a great view. Other then that though we loved our stay.
THIS BUILDING HAS THE SLOWEST LIFTS IN THE World!!!! It’s terrible really!!! You can stand 20-30 min to way down and back!!!! That’s really true!!!!
I didn’t think it could ruin the holiday this much.
When you finally wait for an elevator, there’s no guarantee you’ll even get into it because the queues are so long that not everyone fits.
On top of that, the building staff spend all day transporting construction materials in the elevators.
And by the way, there is no swimming pool at the moment — it’s under renovation.
Renting an apartment here is definitely not worth the money. The price is comparable to luxury accommodation, but the quality feels more like cheap apartments.
There are lines of people waiting downstairs, and they even have chairs set up for them. It’s absolutely terrible!!!
People pack into the elevators like sardines. They’re so overcrowded that it’s hard to breathe.
The elevators are also malfunctioning, and sometimes you end up riding up and down between floors for 5–10 minutes. I’m not exaggerating.
On top of that, every floor smells strongly of cigarette smoke. The smell is awful.
THIS PLACE HAS THE WORLDS SLOWEST LIFTS!! You have been warned.
I stayed here for two weeks, and overall it’s a very good place in Da Nang. The location is not perfect, but it’s actually nice because the area is less crowded. The view is very nice you can’t see the full sea, but part of it and the panorama bar is incredible.
The Wi-Fi tends to slow down and disconnect during the late afternoon around 9 PM, so that’s something that could be improved. The rooms are very big and comfortable. It would also be nice if the swimming pool and gym were included in the room price, even if the cost was slightly higher, instead of having to pay every time to enter.
One thing to note is that if you have loud neighbors, you can hear them quite easily.
Very helpful staff who respond very quickly. We had an issue with a jammed door and we got offered to check out 2 other rooms immediately after. We wanted a microwave in our room, it was there before we got home 15 minutes later! Good views, good breakfast and the gym is well set up with essential equipment
