Fabrizio was a wonderful guide - a native of Cusco, he not only knew the best restaurants to make our stops at but he also helped us better understand the city, ancient culture and its people. We had a wonderful evening with Fabrizio and would highly recommend him and this tour.

This was a solid food tour. Since it's private, the experience is very customized. We were introduced to a wide variety of local staples and Fabrizio even shared all the names of the dishes and drinks via Whatsapp so we could remember. I would recommend this as an initial activity to get a sense of the food scene and city layout in Cusco. Don't expect visits to higher end places though, this is very much a locals tour.
I truly amazing experience in the perfect way to start a Cusco trip! Our guide Harry was very knowledgeable. Not only the food, but the history! Can't recommend this tour enough
This tour was a great way to get introduced to the local foods in Cusco, Peru! Fabrizio was a wonderful guide! Really enjoyed his company and knowledge!
We loved our tour with Fabrizio! He took us to places we would never find as tourists. Small family restaurants, markets and amazing street vendors. We tried so many delicious Peruvian foods and learned a lot about the country and its culture. Would highly recommend!!
Fabrizio was our guide and made the experience extra special. We saw parts of Cusco we won't have otherwise and ate a delicious and diverse sampling of Peruvian food. He shared some new knowledge and made the tour very fun! A real exclamation point to our trip. Highly recommend!!
Fabrizio was an excellent guide who really cared about our preferences and was interesting to talk to. Great local food options.
Excellent food and an even better guide. We stopped at 5-6 places and experienced many Peruvian dishes. I highly recommend Harry as a guide. Truly a great experience!
A nice mix of tasting walking around town from fruits at the market to complete dinner with coffee afterwards.
Awesome experience! Our guide Harry was so passionate about the local culture and we learned so much!!!
Delicious food tour with Fabrizio. He took us to a local restaurant for an authentic experience, purchased street food for us to try, brought us to a local dessert shop and walked us through the market, explaining all the different sections. The food in town was great and eating fresh fruit, cut open in front of you was amazing. Highly recommend this tour for people who want to see some of the city but also enjoys a food experience.
I really enjoyed this experience. My guide Harry took me not just on a food tour but a brief talks about historical sites around the city and some of the cultural aspects of Peruvian food. I choose to do this the day I arrived to get a lay of the land with a local since I was solo. The walking was not too strenuous and mostly flat with a few hills. My guide even connected with me on WhatsApp after to give me recommendations and to answer any questions I had while I was here.
We loved this food tour we did with our guide Fabrizio in Cusco! Not only did we sample so many delicious traditional Peruvian dishes, we also learned so much about the areas rich history, traditions and culture. The guided walk through the huge market after the restaurant tastings was so fascinating! We definitely would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cusco and please request Fabrizio as your guide! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My husband and I had a great food tour with Angelo. I would recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your stay as it was a very good introduction to Cusco. He was a really nice, friendly guy, full of energy and very charismatic and his tour was definitely one of our highlights of Peru. We started in San Pedro Mercado, tasting different juices and chocolates. We then moved on to other cafes, where the locals go, and sampled various different foods that we would never have discovered on our own. He also told us a lot about the history and culture of Cusco. I asked a lot of questions about life in Peru and he answered them all very patiently. His English was excellent and he was very easy to understand. We would have liked to have done another tour with him but sadly my husband was poorly, and then we ran out of time. Angelo also recommended two restaurants: Morena Peruvian Kitchen and Cicciolina, both of which were excellent. Angelo made the tour really fun and I would highly recommend him as a guide and we would definitely use him again.
Fabrizio was very engaging and knowledgeable. He customized the tour to our preferences and the food was varied and delicious. He was so friendly and we enjoyed talking to him. He showed us hidden gem spots with authentic food that we loved. Recommend!
There was nothing particularly bad, or great about this tour. Our guide was friendly and provided insight to the local cuisine. It wasn’t 10 tastings, more like 5. Again, not bad, not great. I would try something like this again if only for the guide around the local culinary scene.
We booked this private food tour in Cusco with Angelo, and it honestly felt like hanging out with a friend who knows the city inside and out. He went out of his way to accommodate my girlfriend’s many allergies (no pumpkin, avocado, milk, etc.), customizing stops like a fresh smoothie with tomato, orange, and some unknown Peruvian fruit — no artificial sweeteners, just pure local flavor. We tried sugarcane off the street, something that felt totally authentic and un-touristy, and a passionfruit-like fruit that was tart and refreshing. One of the more “sit-down” moments was a stop for roasted chicken and fries (photo attached), super simple but really well done. Angelo also made the experience personal — we chatted about anime, Tekken, Rubik’s cubes, and he even made me a 20-minute video after the tour showing me how to solve one. Totally above and beyond. The tour lasted the full 3 hours, and while I can’t confirm every one of the “10 tastings,” the vibe was relaxed and real — not rushed or staged. If you’re looking for a rigid checklist tour, this might not be for you. But if you want to experience the food culture and connect with a cool local who listens, adapts, and cares, Angelo’s your guy. Highly recommend.
We had a few dishes that were delicious a trip to the market. The guide wasn’t all that engaging which was a shame as I had read lots of good reviews.
This is a fantastic food experience. We did it on our first full day so that we could get used to the elevation and learn about the city. Angelo was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Great price, great food, great experience.
Angelo was a great guide. We learned much more about the city, Peru, and the history of agriculture than we were expecting. The food was amazing and the vendors we were able to interact with were great! Thoroughly enjoyed our time and after he sent us tons of great recommendations. Must book!
The Tour did not match the description, we did not go to any of the places listed on the tour itinerary nor did we eat ceviche . One of the main reasons we signed up was because we wanted to see see San Pedro Market and the guide did not take us there. Also we expected a three hour tour and it was only one hour and 50 mi utes. The Tour Guide was very well informed and we did taste amazing empanadas and picarones, but we were expecting a better experience.
I went in being a picky eater, but decided to try everything offered. Absolutely zero regrets. The guide we had was super
The Cusco walking food tour was a fantastic way to explore the city and its local flavors. It had a great balance of walking and food, allowing us to experience the sights while enjoying some truly delicious dishes. The empanadas, picarones, and wood-fired chicken with chips were definite highlights—so fresh and full of flavor! This tour offers an authentic taste of Cusco and is a must for food lovers looking for something uniquely local.
Angelo was knowledgable and interesting. We spent a relaxed afternoon, strolling through Cusco’s streets sampling local foods at the market and in eateries. I enjoyed the food and getting to know more of Cusco from a local.
Wow! We had such a great time! The food we ate was fantastic but with the educational part made it so much more meaningful. I highly recommend thus tour. If you have a chance, ask for Angelo! He was amazing.
I really enjoyed this tour. Fabrizio was my guide. He took me to San Pedro market where we had several tastings. We went to a restaurant and had adobo and chicharrone and potatoes. We sat at a restaurant balcony with sweeping views of the city and had a pisco chilcano. He showed me many of the sites around the city. He tailored the tour and tastings to my interests which made it a valulable experience. Highly recommend!
This was a great food tour! Harry was really pleasant and knowledgeable and was a pleasure to talk with. We hit spots that I otherwise would not have known about- and the food was delicious. Definitely worth it!
We did get lost , but Harry ( our food guide)was able to find us. We were reaching out to him he was already calling us to make sure we were ok. BTW he did send a text the day before confirming trip, he also sent me a text letting us know he was at the meeting spot. First question he asked was were we ok , were we feeling good with the change in altitude fortunately for us we were feeling great. It was wonderful to meet someone from my neck of the woods. I am from South Carolina. He lived in North Carolina and he has been to Charleston several times so we had a great connection the first time we met. He was very considerate of our needs .The first stop he took us to was a juice bar at Mercado Central de San Pedro. A holistic juice bar to help us with the altitude sickness with all these different flavors of healthy juices. We looked at souvenirs, snacks, holistic aids to help with certain conditions.Went over the history of the market. Food of course was delicious, he was very knowledgeable about it all . Overall great time .
Excellent service, excellent tours, great history tips and feed. Amazing guides. People i just Amazing so if planned coming to Cusco don't miss this tour
So much fun! We were where the locals hang out. It was a blast. In addition to tasting local food, the guide gave us some history of Cusco as we walked.
Our guide Angelo is well spoken and interesting. I will give him credit that he's very knowledgeable about the culture and he did interact. There were 5 of us in this tour. 1st Stop: Each of us had Jugueria (juice)-mixed with tomato(sacha tomate) /pineapple /orange juice. 2nd Stop: We sampled 2 kinds of passion fruits-one is sweet and the other one kinda sour. Good try! We had to share using 1 spoon. 3rd Stop: free chocolate samples from the market vendor that they sampled before you buy (those little round choco). 4th Stop: While walking to go to Copacabana for the empanada-he bought a toasted FABA beans on the street. He each handed us 1 bean for us to try-Dang! It was very hard! 5th stop: The Aunthentic Empanada- we all (my family) loves this-delicious!!! The dough was made of mixed sweet potato & pumpkin. I bought my own drinks. Suggestions: He should keep this for the food tasting all the time. 6th Stop: we had chicken& french fries at Los Toldos- It was okay, nothing special about the chicken. He ordered a pitcher of Peruvian red corn drink (but he told us to pay for it when we checked out. 7th/Last Stop: We had Tamales Josefina-desde 1924, he bought 3-he said to split 1 tamales to another person and he had to split one to me (interesting). So overall, didn't spend 3 hours, not 10 food tastings and drink(s). So I will say NOT worth the money we paid for.
I had a great time with Angelo. His English is very good, and he is a good conversationalist, telling about the background of the dishes, and overall engaging. He definitely got me to try foods I had not yet tried, and I had been in Peru for 10 days by then. He also gave me some good restaurant recommendations for later. I would recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip, so you can learn about what you might like to try throughout your stay. My only complaint is the website advertised 3 hours and 10 tastings, and it was more like 2 hours and 5-6 tastings.
Angelo was an interesting and well spoken tour guide. We got to try delicious food and go to places we would have otherwise not known about. Highly recommend doing this and the earlier in your trip the better!
Angelo was a fantastic guide. The meeting point was easy to find and he was there at the agreed time. He is very knowledgeable about the local area and has incredible experience working in the restaurant business all over the world. We had a personal emergency, that had nothing to do with the tour, and were unable to complete the tour. However, Angelo was super helpful in getting us the help we needed. We were very grateful because we would have had a hard time communicating on our own in this situation. Afterwards he even offered to continue the tour even though we were beyond the time the tour originally would have ended. Angelo is very professional, friendly, and genuinely a great person who we felt very comfortable with. We would 100% recommend taking his food tour!!
Fabrizio took us on a culinary cultural adventure. He is a great communicator, professional AND personable, friendly and fun. He took us to amazing restaurants off the beaten path with generous portions of mouth watering local fare. He is extremely knowledgeable about his home town’s history and was a great resource for things to do and other great places to eat. If you go to Cusco book this tour with Fabrizio, it will be the highlight of your time in Cusco.
Reynaldo was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and interesting. What a treat it was to be able to sit and eat where the locals go and discover some culinary gems that we would never have thought to try or seek on our own.
We had a nice time with Fabrizio! We walked around Cusco and he explained a lot about their history, and he took us to some very local places, that we probably wouldn't have found on our own, and are glad he showed them to us! He tailored the food to our needs, as we don't drink alcohol. We were full pretty quickly after our first two pork dishes, so after we tried a few desserts, and ended at a chocolate shop. We spent more time together after and got coffee after :) it was a great way to explore Cusco with a local. I would recommend this tour!
What can I say about Angelo but when it comes to food, passionate is the only way to describe him. Angleo is so proud of his country, his culture and the food it produces. He is amazingly knowledgeable about not only the dishes of his country but of the restaurants, the history behind the cuisine and the cocktails and spirits of Peru as well. His tours are fun, delicious, and a great way to learn about Cusco. My girlfriend and I did both his food and cocktail tours and we ended having a blast. Don’t hesitate to take any of his tours, you won’t be disappointed.
Angelo made our trip to Cusco. So knowledgable, so fun to hang out with. We ended up taking him up on a cocktail tour too and he did not disappoint. Hope to cross paths with you again soon, Angelo! Thank you for everything!
We had a great time with Angelo. He was very knowledgeable and took us to places we would not have known about.
Reynaldo was the best guide to the foodie spots in Cusco! He took us to some incredible local spots and kept the tour fun and engaging. The food in Cusco is so so good. Don't miss this tour!
Angelo was great and tried to get me to try food that I haven't already tried since I've been here. Pretty tall order as I had tried most everything, including all the street food. He took me to San Pedro market and the San Blas market and was able to fulfill the task. I also went back to a place that wasn't open during our tour that he was going to take me to and it was amazing. Great job Angelo!
A must do food tour with Reynaldo if you visit Cusco. A very friendly person with many food stories to share along the way 😊 .He was quite attentive to the food we might have already tried and was quickly adapting to make sure that we try something new. He took us to hidden/whole in the wall spots that we might have not been able to find it on our own.
Angelo was fantastic. So genuine and proud of his culture. We relied on him to chose our tastings and he did not disappoint. Food was absolutely amazing and because of the crowds/festival he gave us more time to enjoy the local food and learn more about Peru. Angelo was so friendly and personable. He went above and beyond for us. We all said we’d can’t wait to return.
Angelo showed us some great places to eat and new foods in Cusco. We toured the central market tasting local fruits, chocolates and juices. We also made a few stops outside of the market. Every place he took us to we returned to again on our own. The tour was really fun!
Angelo was our guide. He arrived on time. Angelo showed us the best places to eat in Cusco. Great personality and lots of great stories about local food. Highly recommend.
My sister and I took a Cusco food tour with Fabrizio in May 2024. He was on time, pleasant, and a wealth of local information. Went to a "hole in the wall" restaurant for lunch. It was the best food we ate in Peru. After Fabrizio took us into a local neighborhood to a local estabilishment for three different desserts. All were great. You can't go wrong selecting Fabrizio for any tour in Cusco.
We really enjoyed the food tour with Reynaldo! He chose tasty restaurants that were clean and well kept, which we appreciated. It was fun trying so many different local foods and spending time getting to know the city with Reynaldo, we highly recommend him! Come with your appetite— you will not go away hungry, we were stuffed!
We had a great afternoon with Fabrizio. We had a very limited time to enjoy Cusco before moving on to our next destination and we knew the best way to get the most out of it would be with a local so we booked a tour. He introduced us to dishes that we wouldn't have thought to try and taught us things about the city we hadn't learned in the endless documentaries we'd watched and books we'd read. We laughed, wandered, learned, and ate. If you are looking for a fun, informed, outgoing guide you should absolutely consider booking with him.
The guide Anglo was very friendly and charismatic. He was a wonderful story teller and explained everything well. We didn’t taste 10 things. Maybe 8ish foods. Tour was about 2 hours long.
