Juan gave an amazing tour of the sacred valley! We were so happy to spend the day with him and learn about the historical sites.

Itinerary
Day 1
1
Your day begins with pickup from your Cusco hotel at approximately 7:00 a.m. Travel by comfortable tourist vehicle into the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Meet llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos up close. Learn about their importance to Andean culture and traditional textiles, with time to take photos.
Stop at the Taray viewpoint for sweeping views of the Sacred Valley, the Urubamba River, green farmland, and the surrounding Andes.
Explore the impressive Pisac Archaeological Site, including its mountain terraces, temples, water channels, and ancient stone structures. Your guide will explain how the Incas adapted this remarkable complex to the landscape.
Walk through the colorful Pisac Market, where local artisans offer handmade textiles, ceramics, jewelry, and traditional crafts. Enjoy the lively atmosphere and experience modern Andean culture.
Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a local restaurant in the heart of the Sacred Valley, featuring a variety of dishes prepared with fresh local ingredients.
Discover Moray’s remarkable circular terraces, believed to have been used by the Incas to study crops and different growing conditions created by the site’s microclimates.
See thousands of white salt pools covering the mountainside at the Maras Salt Mines. Local families continue to harvest salt here using methods passed down through generations.
Explore Ollantaytambo’s impressive archaeological site, massive terraces, temples, original Inca streets, and flowing water channels. After the visit, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before boarding the Expedition train.
Travel aboard the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. Upon arrival, check into your comfortable 3-star hotel and rest before visiting Machu Picchu the following morning.
Day 2
2
After breakfast at your hotel, take an early bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. Remember to bring your original passport and entrance ticket. Enjoy a 2–3-hour guided tour along your confirmed circuit. Explore terraces, temples, plazas, viewpoints, and sacred spaces while learning about the history of this extraordinary Inca city. We request Circuit 2 when available; otherwise, we secure the best official alternative. Optional hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain require separate advance tickets. After your visit, return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch at a restaurant of your choice. Lunch is not included.
Board the afternoon Expedition train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our driver will be waiting outside the station to take you back to Cusco.
Continue by comfortable van through the Sacred Valley to Cusco. Drop-off at your hotel is usually around 7:30 p.m., depending on the train schedule and traffic conditions.

Had a great time! Our Guide William Elvis did an amazing job sharing all the history of the sites and took some amazing photos for us!
The most amazing experience. The guide Juan Miranda, I can’t say enough about him. His patience, knowledge, passion, dedication and kindness were the best. He was by far the best guide I have ever had. I wish every guide was like him. The tour was so amazing and unbelievable. I would recommend this tour and this agency especially to try to book with Mr. Juan Miranda. He went above and beyond. Thank you.
We had a wonderful experience on the Sacred Valley VIP Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour. Our guide, Juan Miranda, was incredible. He has an impressive knowledge of Peruvian culture, local history, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. Every step of the trip was organized so smoothly that everything felt easy and stress-free. What made the experience especially memorable was Juan’s attention to detail, excellent planning, warm attitude, and genuine care for us throughout the tour. He always made sure we were comfortable, informed, and able to fully enjoy every place we visited. We enjoyed the tour very much, and a large part of that was because of Juan Miranda. Thank you for such a memorable experience! We strongly recommend TreXperience, and especially our guide Juan Miranda, to anyone planning to visit the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.
This 2 day tour was amazing. From pick to to drop off everything was very well organized and set up for us. Started with hotel pickup from our guide Juan and the first day we went through many stop of the sacred valley seeing everything up close and getting great photos. Our guide Juan was AMAZING. He knew so much about Peru the Incas and its history. We took care of us so well and always made sure we were okay / went out of his way to help. The sights are obviously beautiful but a good caring guide always makes a trip 11/10. We are so happy with our experience and definitely recommend.
Was an absolutely fantastic experience, the stops at different points were perfectly timed, the transport, hotel was all organised and always ready to pick us up, it took so much stress away so I could just enjoy the tour. I could not recommend this enough. And our guide Juan he was the best, never in my whole life have I had such a brilliant guide, so knowledgable, friendly and helpful, truly the best guide ever. I’d do another tour again especially so if I knew Juan was my guide. 10/10
Juan was a knowledgeable, friendly guide who was always willing to help out with questions or confusing situations!
Excellent 2 day trip. Perfect if you are trying to see everything the sacred valley has to offer. Although we explored many sites in a day, we did not feel rushed at any of them at all. Our guide Juan was super informative and helpful throughout. Only thing I wish is that communication could be unclear and spotty at times, but Juan makes up for it for being super personable and knowledgeable.
The 3 day/2 night tour covered all the best sights of Cusco and beyond. My tour guide, Juan Miranda, was incredible! He was so knowledgable, organised and friendly. He explained everything in lots of detail and answered all questions, you can tell how passionate he is about his job and Peru. Would recommend the company to anyone thinking about using, great value for money.
Had a great experience. Timely pickup and saw so many sights but felt like had a good amount of time at each. Our tour guide Juan Miranda was very attentive and thoughtful. He was very knowledgeable and passionate. I learned a lot about the history. He was very kind and carried my bag for me around Machu Picchu!
Our trip was amazing! The highlight was easily our tour guide Juan Miranda. His knowledge of all the historic sites and Peruvian history is amazing. His stories were so in depth and he was able to answer every question we had with energy and passion. He was a super clear communicator and we felt in the loop at all times! The cherry on top was he was also a great photographer and was super patient while we stopped for photos / videos!! The trip overall was lovely and the bookings were done so we were able to see the sites without too many crowds.
Juan Miranda absolutely made our trip. His knowledge, personality, and anecdotes made the trip unforgettable and fantastic. He shared so many stories and so much knowledge with us we are very thankful. Shoutout Juan for making this trip amazing! Tour guide, expert, environmental activist, and professional photographer :)! Truly would not have been the same with any other guide.
This was a trip of a lifetime! Our first day has spent in the Sacred Valley, where we visited an alpaca farm, the Pisac agricultural ruins, the Maras salt mines, Moray circular agricultural terraces, and Ollantaytambo. The second day we visited Machu Picchu. From the beginning, our tour guide Tony (“Tony Montana”) was excellent communicator. His English was excellent. He contacted us before the tour to introduce himself and throughout the tour, ensure everyone understood what we were doing and where we were going. He also brought each part of the tour to life by providing detailed insights into what we were visiting. First stop was the alpaca farm where we learnt about the different varieties of animals and have the opportunity to feed them . The visit to Pisac was enjoyable. We climbed to above the terraces to enjoy the spectacular view. The salt mines were also impressive, although it was quite hot when we were there so we were happy to retreat to an excellent buffet lunch nearby. From there we visited Moray before moving on to Ollantaytambo. By then it was getting late and we were quite tired after a very full day. The itinerary was probably a bit too full; we could have done with one less site visit in order to have more time to enjoy each of the other places. For instance, Moray is similar to Pisac and was probably not necessary After enjoyable dinner, we took the Explorer train to Aguas Calientes where we spent the night in a three star motel. However, the shower was hot, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast filling. We also really appreciated someone from the hotel meeting us at the train. We had a spectacular visit to Machu Picchu, where we were fortunate to see the sun rise over the archaeological site, via circuit 2. Tony further brought the trip to life by providing detailed insights about the history of Machu picture and how it was rediscovered. Overall, the trip was very worthwhile, good value, and the communication from both Tony and Trexperience was excellent.
Juan Miranda was an exceptional tour guide, his knowledge and skills coupled with his enthusiasm and friendly nature made the whole tour a delightful and cherished experience. I would highly recommend him and this tour. Going to Machu Picchu on the first transport is well worth it. You experience the magic and ethereal beauty of the place while set against the majestic sunrise.
We got a really nice tour with Edy the Puma. He explain everything we visit with a lot of detail and was really good for the schedule of the tour and our family. He really make our trip to Cusco- Machu Picchu one of the highlight of the trip. Thank for the expérience of the Inca world. We recommend this tour for family especially with Edy.
We did a 8 day tour of peru with TreXperience. Everything was organised by the company. We did Lima, Nasca lines, Paracas, Cusco, Machu Pichhu and back to Lima. Loved it. I must say communication with the office was a little poor in the first part of the journey but as soon as we got to Cusco, things changed. Our guide Ady Puma just made all the difference. Can't praise him enough. He is very passionate about his country, people and the rich history of his nation. He conducted the tour in Spanish and English at the same time but no one felt left out. Communication was excellent. Knowledge of events/history is very good. Kept everyone engaged. Very encouraging to keep people moving as well. He takes you to the best photo spots as well. You can take all the photos that you want, but when he gets you to a point and says free time for photo's my God the scenes come so good. He is a champ with the camera too. All the photos and videos he took of our family, came out so good. Highly recommend Ady Puma as your guide. Very courteous and respectful as well. Keep it up Ady and thank you for great time you gave my family.
Our tour for sacred Valley and Macchu Picchu was amazing. Our tour guide Ady Puma was great. He was an excellent tour guide. Definitely recommend him for a tour guide.
Our tour guide Frank was the highlight of our trip. Very very grateful and happy we met him!
This experience was a fantastic way of taking in the beauty of the Sacred Valley, learn about important Incan archaeological sites, and cap it off with the big ticket Machu Picchu at the end. We really appreciated how informed our guide Frank kept us of where we were going and what we would be doing there. He was always prepared with our admission tickets and was flexible in his plans if we needed him to be, which made for a memorable experience
Our 2-day Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour was an absolute dream. Booking with TreXperience was seamless; their customer service representatives were incredibly responsive, providing detailed answers to all our questions before we even arrived. The entire crew went above and beyond. On day one, our guide was Monica, who was an absolute superstar! She was patient, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable about the history of every site we visited. We had a packed, incredible itinerary exploring the alpaca and llama farm, Moray, the Maras salt mines, the Taray viewpoint, and the Pisac ruins before catching our train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. Even though our specific train was scheduled 30 minutes later than the rest of the group, Monica ensured we reached the station smoothly. She went the extra mile by waiting to personally welcome us in Aguas Calientes when our train was delayed, getting us checked into our hotel, and perfectly coordinating the handoff to our next guide. The next day, Renato took over for our Machu Picchu tour. Since we were a very small group, we deeply appreciated his focused attention. Renato was funny, patient, engaging, and brought the history of Machu Picchu to life—we were never bored! He also helped us capture some truly incredible photos. We were lucky enough to book the highly sought-after Circuit 2, and Renato made sure we got the absolute most out of the experience. Beyond the world-class guides, the logistics were flawless. The buffet lunch was great, the dinner selections were fantastic, and our drivers were professional, keeping us safe on the roads and ensuring we reached every destination on time. We left Cusco, Peru with amazing memories and new friends. A massive thank you to the whole TreXperience crew, with a special shout-out to Monica and Renato. If you are planning a trip to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, look no further!
I thought that this experience was worth the money to see a variety of stops on your way to Machu Picchu. I really enjoyed my guide Katie, she was very informative and helpful. The only thing I would recommend is looking early so you can get a good circuit for MP. Good experience for your money though.
Saw some gorgeous views and had an incredible time. Genuinely stunning place. Good group size. Our guide Evans was really helpful, taught us loads about Machu Picchu and was a really nice guy who you could tell genuinely cared a lot about what he does and the history behind the sights. He was a legend, would 100% recommend the trip and if you get Evans you will be lucky!
Charly was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and he went above and beyond to make it a great experience. The tour itself was good. Day 1 went by quickly. As expected there wasn't a lot of time to stroll around the sites unfortunately.
We had a wonderful time exploring the Sacred Valley with our tour guide Charly. He was incredibly knowledgeable and solved every problem we had (including finding a temporarily lost phone). We only wish we had had a more detailed itinerary before the day began, but it ended up being a wonderful time either way.
Our guide, Charly, had a vast wealth of historical knowledge and made our tours special. He solved every problem that we had. We were able to pack a lot of sightseeing into the limited time we had. I wish that we had a more detailed itinerary provided before we boarded the bus. My favorite part of the tour was the views of Machu Picchu and the photos our guides took.
Totally worth the price. Trexperience basically hand-held and took care of all our needs. It was really helpful to have people on the ground (Alexandra) who understand the crazy logistics of Peru. Our guide, Charly, was amazing! He was able to answer all our questions about history and geology at every stop, and even helped with the altitude sickness we were experiencing. He was also super communicative about all the logistics, like the morning pickups and bus tickets and entrance tickets and train tickets… Charly, Alexandra, and the TreXperience team took care of everything so we could have a worry-free vacation.
Charly was an outstanding guide: very knowledgeable, made me feel safe, and kept us on track so we experienced everything.
This was by far my favorite part of our Peru trip! Monica was so amazing and her knowledge of all the sights was unmatched, we learned so much. She made the tour very smooth and we truly had to worry about nothing. All the details were clear and upfront and she answered all of our questions and made sure we got to each location safely. She also had great locations for pictures, and now we have great memories to share and look back on! I will be talking about this trip for a long time, thank you Monica for making it so special! Can’t wait to come back and do another tour.
So many beautiful sites throughout our 2 day trip, with tour guides (Javier Sacred Valley) (David Machu Picchu), both were experts giving incredibly insightful information throughout the trips.
On the ground we would give this 5 stars plus. The guides (Dan and Danilo) were perfect. They took good care of us, maintained a good pace, kept us informed and motivated and most importantly kept us safe. If you get these guys, you will have a GREAT time. Chef at the top of the hike (Sinchi) made an amazing meal. Very fresh and declicious and my vegetarian plate was very good. How they can make all this food in that location is beyond me. Porters Mercedes and Bincente did a great job. We never *really* saw them, but everything arrived and was ready and set up. Trekking 100lbs up 2000ft is not easy work. These two are the hidden heros on the team!! TIP WELL! Communication from head office was the only problem. Getting a response from them at all was a challenge. Multiple whatsapps asking us to confirm, provide hotel details, diet, etc, went unanswered. I mean - NO answers at all. (my dietary was never provided to the on the ground team - but they fixed everything!). Conflicting messages from the office and tour guide on how to prepare for Day 2 (Start time, etc - with guide telling us to have breakfast at the restaurant they own, when in fact, we were to meet at 5:20am!). Office in Cusco was not open according to their posted hours and we had to go back twice to get an actual answer. However, as mentioned above, once it started, everything worked great. Guides, food, transport, information, views and more were all 100%
Our tour guide Charly is very friendly, funny, patient, and knowledgeable. We all enjoyed the tour and do recommend Trexperience.
Great experience. Our tour guide Charlie was great. He was kid friendly and knowledgeable. Great service.
Charly the guide was excellent. Full of knowledge, humour and an excellent photographer!
Everything was taken care of, from pick up the first morning, to drop off the second day. We saw so much in the sacred valley tour! It was a great experience and it was even better thanks to Charlie our guide for keeping things light, and moving, and making the whole experience better.
What an amazing tour, very much worth it and make sure you have the right tour guide. I would recommend to ask for Charly. He speaks English very well, explains things thoroughly without it dragging out and is so laid back, chill and with a great sense of humor.
We had a wonderful experience with Trexperience Perú on our family trip to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Our guide, Katia, was fantastic—full of energy, knowledgeable, and very accommodating of our needs traveling with a child. She was with our group of 7 in the Sacred Valley, and when the group split, she continued with just our family to Machu Picchu. She went above and beyond—helping us board the train, dropping us at our hotel, picking us up the next morning, guiding us to the bus station, and giving us a great tour of Machu Picchu. She was especially patient and thoughtful with our kid, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend!
Trexperience was amazing ! Thank you Charly for being an amazing tour guide and helped us every step of the way no matter have inconvenient. Fully had my trust in very confusing times.
The tour was excellent. Monica was a friendly, passionate and knowledgeable guide. Definitely recommend doing the 2 days instead of just 1 day, gives you more time to see more, learn about the history, and not feel so rushed. Thank you Monica and the drivers 🙂🙂
We’re so glad to check off one of our long time bucket list items with our wonderful guide Charly. He’s attentive, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the Peruvian culture and history. We had a great time and memories that will last a lifetime!
Great time-saw so much in two days. Charly was our guide and he was energetic, well informed and passionate about Peru’s cultural heritage. We had one vegan with us and there were food options for him at each stop. Worth the money to have everything taken care of.
The 2-day tour in sacred valley and Cuzco was awesome. Since the very first start Edi el Puma, our local tour guide, was great vastly explaining everything around locations, local culture and history. The whole tour is super interesting and you get a glimpse of the whole area. We also enjoyed local cuisine in different places, all was fine. Edu made it work, covering logistics and timing as the tour is extensive and you have to be careful about timing. Thanks EDI!
This was a jam-packed, highly enjoyable and high-quality 2-day tour. All the logistical details were handled professionally, and the meals exceeded expectations. By far, the highlight was our guide/host Abelardo. He educated us not only about the sights we were seeing, but also the culture of Peru and its people, today and historically. He was warm, friendly and was able to provide extensive answers to our inquisitive group’s many questions. He made the visit to Machu Picchu so much more than just a photo op. I highly recommend this tour and Abelardo as a guide!
For my Machu Picchu tour I had the pleasure of being guided around by Charly- he made my special time there absolutely wonderful. It was raining when we got there but he patiently waited for it to quieten down so I could have the best experience. His knowledge of Machu Picchu and Peru itself was immense, he is obviously very dedicated to his craft! I learnt so much with Charly, he really took the tour to the next level and I am so grateful I was lucky enough to have him show me around one of the seven wonders of the world! Thank you Charly :)
Abelardo was a fantastic guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about each stop we made on the trip. He was friendly yet took his job very seriously. We were sad when our trip was over and we had to part ways. I highly recommend his tours. Thank you, Abelardo you made our trip! Also, love that he took so many pics for us. So many wonderful memories!
Cesar was great. The driver was great. Overall it phenomenal experience.
Our tour with Monica was unforgettable! She guided me and my two kids through Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley, and she was absolutely amazing. Monica is incredibly knowledgeable and knows every detail of the area, which made us feel completely at ease. She tailored the experience perfectly to our family, and we all had such a wonderful time. Thanks to Monica, our adventure was not only smooth but truly memorable. I can’t recommend her enough! In addition to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley, Monica also guided us through Cusco and the stunning salt beds, along with other hidden gems I can’t even name off the top of my head. Every moment was absolutely incredible. Monica’s expertise, warmth, and passion for the region made the entire experience unforgettable. She went above and beyond, and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for an exceptional guide!
2 Day Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu Tour: I wanted to share our recent experience, March 12-13, 2026. My Daughter and I will follow up with a 2nd review once we take this wonderful 2 day experience in. First, if you want to do anything Machu Picchu or Sacred Valley related, TreXperience Peru is the company you want your tour to be guided by. Communication prior and during the trip was A+. We met Charlie at the pick up point and I'm sorry I cannot remember our driver's name yet. The tour was excellent! We never felt rushed and saw a significant amount of sites in a short 2 day time frame. What can we say about Charlie our guide !!!! There are not enough kind words to express how lucky we were for Charlie. The love and reverence for his kin, the Quechua, was touching. The Inca knowledge taught us so much beyond being at the sites and getting those 'money shots'. We have such a better appreciation for Peru and these sacred areas. We love your country and will return. Charlie provided the best vacation experience my daughter and I have ever had for frequent travelers. We'll be back and use TreXperience Peru again. Thank you very much!
Fantastic experience! Our guide was so knowledgeable and so personal. He was patient when we were adjusting to the altitude and took purposely spaced breaks. He would explain things about the history or the location with so much expertise. We really enjoyed and learned so much from this experience. Would highly recommend Adelaide (sp?) for any tour!
I’ve traveled to 36 countries and done a TON of tours, and this was easily one of the BEST I’ve ever had. A huge part of that was our guide, Monica Calderon. Monica was phenomenal -- super knowledgeable, kind, patient, and just really easy to be around. She has a way of explaining things that makes everything feel interesting and personal, not like a scripted tour. Honestly, it felt more like we were traveling with a friend or family member than a guide. We did the private tour, and I’d definitely recommend it. Monica was able to adjust timing and pacing based on what we wanted, which made a big difference, especially for avoiding crowds. Getting to Machu Picchu early and experiencing it without the rush was a highlight. Everything was really well organized, and almost all the details were handled for us. That made it easy to just be present, enjoy the views, spend time with family, and take it all in without stressing about logistics. If you’re thinking about booking this tour, do it -- and if you can, ask for Monica. She truly made the whole experience.
It's our pleasure to recognize our tour guide, Abeldardo for the incredible work he did in organizing our two day trip to Machu Picchu. He took the time in explaining about the sites we visited in great detail. He was friendly with the entire team and ensured that everyone needs were well taken care off. He even took several of our pictures and helped to mJe our epic trip memorable
