This is the no.1 tour for the Sacred Valley. We saw everything. Dante, my guide was perfect in every way, he was very knowledgeable and imparted so much information. I had hotel pick-ups before and after the trip. There was so much to see and do: the textile workshop, the concentric circles, the salt mines, Pisac archeological site, superb top of the range lunch at Ollytantambo and so much more. It was the best! Definitely go with this tour, the others don’t just march-up. Fantastic in every way.

In this second viewpoint, we will see the mysterious Terrazas de Moray, a unique archaeological site with gigantic natural holes.
In the viewpoint of Salinas de Maras, we will see the salt mines that the Incas used to establish trade to prosper.
After, we go to the Urubamba Valley where you can enjoy an exquisite lunch buffet for 1 hour. After this delicious lunch, you will continue to the Ollantaytambo Fortress to discover its impressive Temple of the Sun
We will visit Pisac, an incredible Inca city that constitutes one of the most important archaeological centers of the region. We will visit the beautiful temples, palaces, and well-preserved terraces built on the edge of the precipices that still conserve their straight aqueducts. This is a fast paced tour with not a lot of time at the stops. There are two unnecessary stops at "shops" for 30-40 minutes each which could of been missed to allow more time at the sites. Lunch was very average , none of the descriptions for the food were in English so we were not sure what we were eating. The guide was good , but focused alot on getting "good photos" for the members in the group . I'm there not to see it through a lens but to learn about the sites. It was ok if you like a faced paced day with little free time
A very good full day trip around sites near to Cusco. However it was over 12 hours long with long drives between the sites which was a little too long for me as it was my first full day at those high altitudes. Very knowledgeable guide who spoke good English. Leaving out one of the sites and spending more time at the others may be a more plan.
Excellent trip with several stops. Luigi was very knowledgeable and an excellent guide. Well worth it and would definitely recommend.
Our group had an incredible experience exploring the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our guide, David, was exceptionally knowledgeable, and our driver, Percy, navigated the roads skillfully, ensuring we were comfortable and safe throughout the entire journey. We visited spectacular sites, including the fascinating Maras Salt Mines and the historic town of Ollantaytambo. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to deeply experience the beauty and history of the Sacred Valley.
I did this tour because I bought the 10-day tourist ticket and this knocked off 4 sites on it. If I had to do over, I would instead do a day trip just to Pisac. All the archeological sites we went to were nice but I don't think it's worth spending so much time driving around for. One annoyance was the tour group wanted a completely useless zoom call . It could just be an email! Another annoyance was that we spent time at places designed to get you to spend money rather than the archeological sites I was interested in,
Excellent structure to the day. Edwardo informed us that he had changed the itinerary to allow us to have more time and space at both sights wr visited. Edwardo imparted his extensive knowledge and pitched the tours at the right level.
To be fair, the tour company was upfront about the length of the day and the amount of time spent in the van — so no complaints there. But several things impacted our experience, and honestly, it started before we even left the city. We were told to be at San Pedro Market for pickup between 6:40 and 7:00. At 6:35, the driver messaged saying he'd be leaving by 6:45. We had two children with us and had to run to make it. Not a great way to start a 12-hour day — and unfortunately, it set the tone for everything that followed. The highlight of the day, without question, was Chinchero — particularly the women’s demonstration of traditional alpaca textile-making at the very start. It was authentic, unhurried, and genuinely moving to witness. That experience alone reminded us why we came. As a photographer, some of my favorite images come from the in-between moments — the walk to a site, the quiet details along the way, the things most people walk past. On this tour, that was never possible. The pace was so rushed that there was no time to stop, look around, or capture anything outside of the designated stops. Those are often the most memorable shots, and they were completely lost to the hurry. The back of the van had zero ventilation and was miserably hot all day. When I told the guide I wasn't feeling well, he brushed it off without any concern. Being in the back also meant we were always the last ones off at every stop, and the guide never waited — he'd already be moving through the site by the time we caught up. Lunch was genuinely bad — not just underwhelming, but bad enough that it's worth calling out specifically. For a full-day tour at this price point, the meal should be a highlight, or at least acceptable. This was neither. The gem and stone shop was listed on the itinerary, so no surprise there — but after a long, exhausting day, it felt like a poor use of the little energy we had left. Worth knowing going in so you can mentally prepare. The Sacred Valley itself is breathtaking and worth every bit of effort to see. But the execution of this tour fell short in ways that could easily be fixed.
Nixon tours put together an incredible private all day tour for us. Our guide James wonderful! Not only did we see the beautiful landscape of Incan ruins and the Andes Mountains but also participated in workshops learning about the intricate weaving techniques. It was lifelong memories for sure.
Organization is great, they contacted us a few days before with pick up location, time and instructions. We visited many places in one day. Also, the restaurant we went to for lunch was amazing. The variety of food was great.
My two friends and I had an incredible time on this Sacred Valley tour. The itinerary was very well organized and allowed us to see so many amazing places in a single day. We visiting Chinchero, Moray, the Maras Salt Mines, Ollantaytambo, and Pisac—each stop had something unique and fascinating to offer. The scenery throughout the valley was absolutely breathtaking, and our guide was knowledgeable and funny. We learned so much while still having plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the experience. We appreciated the visits to local artisan workshops, which gave us a deeper understanding of Andean traditions and craftsmanship. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and the tour offered excellent value for money. If you’re visiting Cusco and want to experience the highlights of the Sacred Valley in one day, I highly recommend this tour.
When visiting the incredible Inca empire, the sacred Valley is a must do Inspiring and suitable for all ages.
My husband and I had the most wonderful experience on this tour. Prior to the tour the company contacted us with details about our day. Our guide was Wilson so picked us up promptly at the time of our tour from our hotel. We had a full and fun day visiting the sites of the sacred valley. Wilson was extremely knowledgeable and kind and shared a detailed history about each location we visited. Also the buffet lunch was delicious! I would highly recommend this tour!
Dante was an excellent tour guide, very passionate about the historical suites! Got to pack in a lot of sites in one day and opportunities to experience local crafts and markets.
More time spent in the bus going from one place to the next than actually spending time at the sites. We felt rushed
The covers all major points of interest in Sacred Valley. Our operator contacted us with WhatsApp messages ensuring we agreed to the itinerary and expectations, we appreciated the proactive communication. The tour is 12 hours and you spend 60-70% of that riding in the back of a minibus on mountain roads. Overall great way to see all the sights but just be prepared.
Ernesto was a great driver and even with the narrow roads I felt safe! Pamela was super nice and outgoing!
It was wonderful visiting the historical sites but the trip had too many stops at stores that were tourist traps. The booking also said drop off at your hotel but we were dropped off near the square at night and had to walk up 5 blocks of high incline and stairs to get to our hotel. Clearly a bait and switch.
It was very informative and our guide was very fun and great!
Very informative and we covered a lot of places
Would not recommend with Golden Wayki travel company. We did the full day Maras-Moray tour including Pisac, and our tour guide was knowledgable and friendly. However, the reckless driving of the tour van driver completely marred the experience. We overtook EVERYONE for 8 hours of driving, doing 100 km/h in the left lane around blind cliffside corners in a mountain pass zone that indicated 35 km/hr and Stay Right. It seemed that several times the driver fully lost control of the vehicle, careening and jerking randomly, swerving into the other lane around every turn and narrowly missing head-on collisions several times. We tailgated cars with children in the backseat and people on motorbikes. I was afraid for both them and me, and I wanted to speak up but worried that the driver would take it in his stride and drive more recklessly. Experienced lots of fast and aggressive driving in Peru but this was next level. Maybe driver was drunk? Maybe on phone? We arrived back in Cusco 1 hour earlier than the tour was scheduled to end, and sped past sights we couldn't see because of his driving. Stops that we did see were interesting. But overall avoid!
Pamela was awesome. Kept us on time and was very fluent in English. Learned more than I expected to during a very long day. (Be prepared)
If you only see Machu Picchu when you visit Cusco, then you miss out on so many other amazing sights. This comprehensive tour gives you access to many sights that are awe inspiring. It was terrific. Five sights and three activities highlight the day. Lunch was included and very good. Pam was an excellent guide with a terrific balance of humour but also keeping a diverse group on time. I highly recommend this experience. This is a fascinating part of the world.
My wife and I had a very enjoyable experience on this excursion. Our time was limited to a day, when the tour typically requires two days, but it was enough for us, as long as you know that each stop is relatively quick - around 30 minutes. Nevertheless, our guide Vanessa gave us some very useful information at each stop, bringing colour and context to each site. We had time for photos and a brief walk around each of the sites. It was perfect for what we wanted to achieve, in terms of getting a good cultural overview and historical background about The Sacred Valley on our first day in Cusco. If you like to relax more or indulge a little more in photos and have more time, I'm sure two days would work well. But for us, the one-day option worked perfectly well for us. The lunch included was simple and fine - and there was an upgrade option which we didn't take - and the communication and transport were punctual and perfectly good.
Really interesting to learn about how the ancient Inca mastered farming techniques all those years ago. Can get busy so try get there earlier.
Nice tour with good guide and many interesting and beautiful sights. I enjoyed this tour. But wish we had more time in Ollantaytambo to make the climb to the sun temple. It was not easy to climb in only 25 minutes, i made it in about 20 minutes and had only short time to enjoy the temple and view. To go down it was faster, about 10-15 minutes. Perhaps the guide could have explained some facts in the car so there would be more time at the site. The view from the sun temple is amazing
A day trip from Cusco to the Sacred Valley of the Incas is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the rich history and stunning landscapes of the region. Overall, a day trip to the Sacred Valley is a rewarding experience that combines adventure, culture, and history, making it a highlight of any visit to Peru. Definitely a day trip we all enjoyed and highly recommend this company
Excellent tour of the sacred valley. Our guide Pamela was excellent. She spoke English and Spanish fluently and gave us detailed information about each of the amazing places we visited. Very enjoyable and informative!
This is a great tour if you want to see a lot in one day and like to stay busy. Very well organized, caring guide, great price, loved Louis and the driver, o me & my mom had a great day.
Our guide, Pamela, was a real pro. We got to the sites at the best times possible as she was very responsible with the time and group. We got the best explanations and the best planning. The downfall was lunch - we were offered the Pachay restaurant included, with a chance to upgrade to Tunupa, but since Pachay is highly rated we chose not to upgrade. The lunch was eventually at a much cheaper and lower rating restaurant instead and we barely ate.
Highly recommend this tour- you get to see a ton of stuff in one day. Keep in mind it is a very, very long day. They do bring you to a lot of places where they try to get you to purchase items. I didn’t mind most of them, but I did not care for the crystal and rock store at the end. I’m a stone practitioner from the United States and the prices that they wanted for those stones and crystals were astronomical. The lady at the store tried to tell me that if I purchased anything outside of the store, it was likely plastic. I think I can tell a real stone or crystal from fake easily. The shuttle was super packed not a seat left so just keep that in mind as well as you were spending about 60% of time in the shuttle. But the sites you get to see, and the sacred Valley are absolutely beautiful. It was fun to see how alpaca is used in clothing with natural dyes. I also had one of the best empanadas I’ve ever had from a local lady selling them at the alpaca store. It was super rainy, so please make sure you bring a poncho or rain gear as in the mornings. It tends to rain. The archaeological sites we visited were amazing.
Such an amazing experience! This was a full day packed with so many wonderful sights! Our tour guide Luigi was so amazing and explained everything in both english and spanish. The sites were beautiful and we spent a perfect amount of time at each with stops in between for snacks and bathroom breaks!
I highly recommend this tour if you want to see the main attractions of Cusco and the other specified attractions. HIGHLY recommend to book the restaurant too( the nicer option) you will love it. The guide Luigi was amazing and always look after me.
Our guide was good and gave lots of information when visiting different places. They all were very good and worth visiting. Food was excellent. As others pointed out i agree that times spent in the shops were too much and could have been easily spent on the places we were visiting.
Great full day experience where you enjoy a range of actives. Many thanks to Dante our tour guide for providing great insights and knowledge about each site. Highly recommend!
I had an amazing experience with Mega Expeditions from start to finish. Everything was perfectly organized by Nixon and exceeded our expectations. Nixon is always helpful and responsive. Our tour guide who was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the culture and history of each place we visited. The itinerary was well thought out, offering a perfect balance of activities and relaxation . HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I chose the full option and it was so packed, looking back, I would've been okay skipping the salt mines. Overall tho it was a great experience. May only concern was the textile cooperative we went to. I am unsure as to its legitimacy, I bought two items that are supposed to be baby alpaca but when I got home - i realized that the materials feel very different. Just be mindful before buying.
Long tiring day, but lots of places visited. Tour guide (Dante) was very knowledgeable, and share interesting historical facts in every place we visited. He kept the tour going and on scheduled. Upgrading lunch is a good option (for Tunupa restaurant).
Pam was a great guide. Very knowledgeable & informative. Spoke fluently in English & Spanish. Involved everyone in group
Pam the tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. We really enjoyed this trip. I wish we would have had more time at each sight but was not possible with how much was fit into this great day.
Pamela was an excellent tour guide. She was filled with information and facts and was VERY easy to understand. She made sure we moved at a pace that was comfortable for all involved
What you see during the trip is quite amazing, and definitely worth it, but the guide kept rushing us through it and did not give us enough time at each location to enjoy it. For example, we had only 10 minutes at Moray, one of the key sights of the trip, while we had like half an hour on a wool shop. Furthermore, the schedule was so tight that we did not get to Pisaq in time and we could not get in. At some points, the tour seemed to be designed to allow tourists to buy more things, rather than to appreciate the scenery. If we'd had more time for sights and less for shops, it would have been perfect.
Definitely worth it. It makes for a very long day so be prepared. Our tour was a bit chaotic. Would like to have been able to spend more time at the sites and less time stuck in traffic but what can you do. Lunch was excellent.
We did the faster version to get more sites in but it went by extremely fast. The sites were great to see but we were only granted about 15-20 min of free time at each place. It was just not enough time to walk to get closer views of the sites then all the way back to the van. I would recommend doing the option that visits less so you have more time. Somehow the tour still took the entire day, be prepared for a lot of driving. Beautiful sights, just rushed.
This was an excellent day, I think everyone on my tour enjoyed it. The guide was very informative at each site. We went to 5 ancient sites with other stops in between, making it a really interesting day. Although some of the sites were retail spots, they all had an educational aspect and no pressure to buy anything.
With visiting so many different attractions in 1 day, including lunch. There is not much to complain! It worths the money!
Awesome experience. The van was comfortable and clean. The excursions were great and the guide very knowledgeable. The lunch is included and the food was delicious.
We had an amazing time visiting five of Perus historic sites. Our tour guide, Luigi, was AMAZING! He had so much knowledge of the sites, kept a great energy the entire day, and got some awesome photos
Absolutely amazing tour. It’s a must to see Sacred Valley. I highly recommend this tour company as it was perfectly organized and guide was so knowledgeable.
Amazing tour, not to be missed. It will take whole day, it will sometimes be exhausting, but still one of the best experiences in Peru. Always choose an option with buffet lunch included.
