Amazing day out - my friend and I each got to do 9 climbs and an abseil at the crag. Chino was amazing - very knowledge and good vibes :)

Amazing trip!! This tour is professional and well organized. The food is top quality throughout the entire trek. The views along the trail are breathtaking the entire way. The packing list provided is perfect, proper laying is absolutely necessary. At that elevation the nights are cold. It is part of the experience. This was one of the best experiences of my life. My guide was so patient and extremely knowledgeable in rock climbing. He also was very knowledgeable about the local area and all of its history. We had the most amazing conversation about Eco tourism, and how every country should encourage it in order to preserve the beauty in history. Again, and recommend it to anybody.

Easy communication through whatsapp before the tour. Pickup and drive out was quick and smooth. The guide spoke excellent English and was very flexible and fun! Our group has some experience so besides guiding us climbing, he also taught us how to do knots and other rock climbing knowledge. Great day out! Also a very good pack lunch!!

Had a great day of top rope climbing with Urbano, who was professional and experienced. Both safety and vibes were strong! I was new to outdoor rock climbing so the explanations and routes were tailored appropriately with this in mind. We wrapped up at the crag slightly early so checked out a cave nearby. Would definitely recommend going with Urbano if you’re wanting to get outdoors around Cusco.

I had an awesome time doing the rock climbing day tour! All the gear was in good condition and there was a thorough explanation at the beginning about safety and ways to anchor. I did both top rope and lead with a variety of different routes, and the views were amazing. Highly recommend!

We had planned a family rock climbing experience during our stay in Cusco and we had a great day at Salkantay Mountain, about 30 minutes away. (Not to be confused with Salkantay Trekking). Urbano was our guide, he is very knowledgeable and concerned for our safety. The gear was like new and in great shape (worth mentioning due to the safety associated with it) . As a travel advisor I would highly recommend this activity for my clients looking for something different and more adventurous. Precious experience is not required as your guide will go over a safety briefing before the climb, but recommended so you know what to expect.

Great adventure. Very professional and knowledgeable instructor, beautiful equipment, and the rock itself was very nice, with multiple routes and even a propelling system. We met a very friendly dog who lived on the property, but besides that it was relatively quiet. Would totally do this again.

We (me, 8-year old and 12-year old) went for a half day trip with Urbano to a crag about 30 minutes outside of Cusco. We wanted to get out of the city for a bit and do something active. We had a blast! It was the kids' first time climbing outside and they loved it. The gear was in good shape and we stuck to easy routes that everyone could do. They even managed to find kids' sized shoes. We finished off with a rappel off of the cliff. It was a great day. Urbano was super flexible and good with the kids and he spoke really good English. All around a great outing!

First time rock climbing and our guide Urban was awesome! He made us feel safe on the climb and had good safety briefing before we started and the crack we went to was perfect for an intro to rock climbing. The view from the place was great, the included lunch was nice, also for us vegetarians. We unfortunately had some rain at the end, but Urban did everything to let us climb as much as possible. Can defenitely recommend this tour!

We are boulderers who had never sport climbed before due to unavailability at our location, so we were thrilled to finally have a chance. Our mountain guide, Vinerson, was so chill, knowledgeable , and extremely patient. We learned so much and climbed some gorgeous routes, and had a total blast. We learned a lot about proper technique and safety, and he even taught us to lead and safely clean the top rope anchors and quick draws. Thanks again, Vinerson, hope to see you again soon!!

Nice day getting to know the Cusco area limestone. We were able to agree the trip on the evening before with a very short notice. Urbano was very good in taking our previous skills into account while planning the climbing routes and activities. Safety was handled very well and the climbing gear was in good condition. Beautiful crag with nice routes!

Top notch experience! Vidal was very friendly, knowledgeable, safety oriented, fun and funny! A wealth of knowledge of the community as well. If you get the chance, try it out! Easy to understand his English. We rented gear that was in good condition. He allowed lead climbing if you had the experience as well as lead belaying. All in all, awesome experience! Had a great time with 4 friends climbing all day outside of Cusco. Very knowledgeable on climbing and taught us a couple things we hadn’t learned before starting. Spoke English very well and is a wealth of knowledge about the Incan culture and history. Highly recommend!

I did a full day of rock climbing and it has been one of my favorite experiences since arriving in Peru over a month ago. Booking was easy through the website and communication was seamless over email and WhatsApp. As for the tour, I was very fortunate enough to have Vidal as the guide and he made the tour better than I ever could’ve imagined. He is just an incredibly kind, motivating, professional, easygoing, and funny human being. The first bit consisted of reviewing equipment and safety as well as learning knots. Then, he was kind enough to allow me to climb a wide variety of routes based on my level. The location and rock is beautiful without any approach required. I would highly recommend this experience and tour agency to anybody visiting Cusco, especially if you’re looking for more unique things to do like rock climbing. The price is beyond justified for all that is included and the care and coordination of the agency. Vidal and the people behind the organization are incredible, so please support them :)!

This was a great day of fun and challenging climbing. Our guide took the beginning to do some knot practice and then we started off with top rope and then lead climb as well. I got 8 climbs in and was very grateful for the experience. I had come in with climbing experience and got to do some lead climbing and sharpen some skills. Definitely recommend as it was fun and all very safe.

There were just the two of us and the guide. We are not beginners and the guide adjusted the plan for us and we simply climbed, which was great. I highly recommend that one - good english speaking guide (Cheers Urbano!), nice rock, and the lunch was very tasty.

I had incredible days in Cusco with the service of Vidal Expeditions, we were 2 people traveling around South America and in Cusco we contacted to Vidal the owner of Vidal Expeditions, he was very fast replying our emails to book the tours, we just manage the whole steps to book two tours, rock climbing and Jampa mountain climb, they gave us a reasonable price for us. When we arrived to Cusco they contacted us and our guide came to the hotel to provide us the briefing before each trip. Rock climbing was fun, I never had experience climbing in outdoor, however Alex our instructor made of this a good experience teaching us the basic gear, knots and techniques to get good perfomance on the rock. They also had good climbing gears, harnesses, ropes and whole things you need to be safe. The Jampa climbing was my favorite, we hike between some amazing lakes mostly green and turquoise, our guide was Chino who is very professional from the beginning to end, he always looked after us, and very good photographer, he loves his job specially the mountains, his knowledge about mountaineering is excellent, the most important for him is safety. After a few hours climbing the second day at the morning we reach the summit of 5520 meters and happy to be there as the first time. I am proud of myself to climb such high altitude. and happy to have Chino and Vidal Expeditions part of this experience. They are very serious when it is about safety and work with people life.

Chino is hands down the best guide in Cusco area. He is accommodating and willing to go out of his way to make things happen. I was a solo traveler and it is somewhat difficult to find a group for some activities but Chino was willing to organize a trip for just me. We did the full day rock climbing trip and he is very professional and made me feel safe during the process. The prices of Vital Expeditions are also very reasonable compared to other agencies. I also did Rainbow Mountain trip with Chino and it's around 1/3 of the price of other agencies. Considering Rainbow Mountain is a easy trek and only takes a day, you are mostly paying for transportation. I think Vidal's price is the most reasonable price out there. I 100% recommend this agency and Chino if you are looking for outdoor activities other than trekking, such as kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, etc,.

I had an incredible day doing rock climbing in Cusco with Chino, he is really proffesional!! This is a pretty place upper part of Cusco easy going and very safe for eveyone who wants to learn about climbing activity, all the gears and equipment are very safe and climbing with Chino I felt safe in his hands...I am a person who only climb in indoors places and Vidal Expeditions where a great company where you can learn many many things about outdoor climbing since the basic climbing course and the different routes to try in their spot. If you have a day free in Cusco after some tours i highlight recommend to go with Vidal Expeditions for some outdoor activities, they always has something to offer you. If you decide for rock climbing ask for Urbano(Chino) who will provide you all the safety you need to enjoy this sport.

Nice day doing some rock climbing with Vidal Expeditions, I had chance to had Vidal as my climbing partner. We went for a nice spot located little away from Cusco and he was really knowledgeable. He firstly has taught me the basic climbing course and learned about the knots, climbing equipment and types of climbing...Whole gears were really safe and recommend brand. They came to pick me up from my hotel in Cusco and drove to a climbing spot for 30 minutes, there Vidal provide me the safety talk and show me the climbing gears one by one, the same he taught me some first aid courses and rescues. Then we began with the knots and climb some easy routes at the rock. We also tried some advanced routes, it is really difficult because need to have some very well trained and some exercises to be on shape...I am sure I will return to try again these routes after train more. If you are going to do some outdoor activity in Cusco, ask for Vidal, he will teach you the best of Cusco.

Honestly i love the rock climbing in Cusco specially with Raul, I got the day trip pack for $70, which comes with a basic beginners lesson and equipment (Climbing shoes, harness, chalk bag) it was a great experience! Rhe enviroment was super welcoming, Iam not renewing my day tour with Vidal Expeditions, This is a great place to learn about Rock cclimbing, build strength and make friends. Would recommend to friends and family, I'll probably be back with some friends.

What a nice day doing Rock Climbing in Cusco with Vinerson, I had a free day in Cusco after visit Machu Picchu, so I decided to take a tour of climbing, after searching in google i found Vidal Expeditions and contact then for this tour. They were fast answering all my wuestion and took a tour of them, The next day in the morning Vinerson came to my hotel with his transport and drive to Cachimayo where they had a great spot for rock climbing, after 30 minutes drive we hike for 10 minutes and began our climbing, Vinerson is a excellent climbing instructor he taught me every single way (safety, climbing gears, routes, theniques, and some exercises) The route was different levels and great for beginners, We climbing about 3 hours in total, after tried many times the different routes we decide to back to Cusco. Overall the day climbing was great to learn many things about this extreme activity and if you have an excellent instructor with very patience for sure you will become a great climber, Thank you so much Vinerson and whole team of Vidal Expeditions to work with love teaching people about this kind of activities, I definitely recommend Vidal Expeditions to everyone. Love the Rock climbing in Cusco, a friend and me went for rock climbing with Vidal Expeditions, our instructor was Vinerson who has been very professional teaching us the important details about it, thanks to him we learned the varied of climbing, all the gears were 100% safe and in good conditions, nice climbing spot with a great view of Cusco city. I did the rock climbing day tour with Chino who was my instructor, he was super professional from the beginning to end. He provide me some first aid course teaching me how to act incase someone suffers injury, the equipment were great and safe for this kind of activities, the climbing spot also is safe for beginners has different routes which you can try and see how is your skill. The tour was great they complied with what was offered one day before to book the tour. However i want to recommemd to bring your own climbing shoes some times they don't have the exactly size your are. overall whole trip was great and better with Chino.

We did the rock climbing day tour with our friends from Vidal Expeditions there were very professional from the beginning until the end, they pick us up in our hotel we took our bus to the rock it was near to Cusco with nice view of the Cusco city, our guide José explain us about the types of rock climbing and the security which we need to have here, we start our climbing activity very well always next to our instructors they teach us every step of this activity it was not easy however thanks to Jose we learned many important things the best about this day it was we found many different routes for beginners and for professionals and we had options to try all of them. From the easy pickup arrangements, we drove for 30 minutes to a nearby location to get to the climbing zone: super smooth. I climbed 1 on 1 with Vinerson across 2 sport routes and the the rock was absolutely beautiful, in one side of a quiet agricultural valley. The conditions were great, and thanks to Vinerson I learnt a lot about climbing! He was very helpful, knowledgeable about the area and absolutely bang on with rope and anchor safety. Thanks for an awesome climb!

Cusco is not really known for its climbing and you’ll be surprised, amazing rocks and routes waiting to be climbed. Just outside of Cusco centre, there lies crags easily accessible amongst clay houses and all sorts of animals, llamas/alpacas...I leave it to the experts to say which is which. Chino introduced me to the local crags that I would have missed altogether. His local knowledge and the years of experiences from climbing and guiding were recipe for fun and great climbing, especially in high altitude. It’s a fine balance to make sure that I was able to enjoy the climbing for a good few hours. Thanks Chino! Hopefully back soon for more adventure :)

Me and my gf had never rock climbed and we booked with Vidal Expeditions. Chino a great rock climbing guide showed us the ropes ;) He explained all the nots, safety and how to climb some hard parts. We paid 120 peruvian soles for a half day climb (9-1pm). Gear, shoes, water included. I would recommend doing this while at Railay. It’s a great workout and the view at the top is amazing! Will come back for sure.

Willy fit myself and my mother in last minute on an afternoon climb. Neither of us had climbed before and we loved it! Our instructor, Pol, was knowledgeable, encouraging, reassuring, and patient with us. Even though it rained pretty hard that didnt stop us! Willy and Pol even helped us get back to Lima when we hadn't arranged our return trip, great guys!! Would highly recommend for an unforgettable, affordable experience!!

I booked at very short notice. 12h before. Everything worked out fine. The company contacted me via WhatsApp. The guide was very experienced and could provide many interesting insights into the local culture as he is one himself. He speaks perfect English. I would book again immediately.

A group of friends and I took the scalding tour with Vidal Expeditions, thanks to the recommendation of a friend who came to cusco some years ago, the Vidal Exp. team was always very attentive with fair prices since we contacted them one of our instructors was Vinerson who gave us a very detailed infamation a day before the tour. Transportation was private only for us who were 4 people with all the security measures in this time of pandemic. At the beginning of the tour we had our temperatures taken and passed a series of disinfection protocols before boarding the bus. While traveling on the bus our instructor showed us some details about the protocols to maintain during this activity, as well as informed us about some very important places on the route. Once at the climbing place called the rock, we were given all the equipment totally disinfected to perform this activity, being with the equipment already on our instructor Vinerson gave us a talk of information on first aid and guidelines on basic climbing, then we started our activity at the beginning was somewhat complicated but thanks to our instructor we were able to take the confidence and have fun until we could not. Particularly it was my first experience climbing a rock just a matter of having a good person to teach you the techniques and learn a lot. I don’t have enough words to thank Vinerson for the patience he had to endure us and show us his secrets and also Vidal Expeditions agency for the incredible experience we had that day, thank you very much. I recommend everyone to do this sport that is a unique experience that even more with Vinerson and Vidal Expeditions, they will not regret it. Thank you guys. Maya.
