Rainbow Mountain Trek

Such an increible area of Peru, certainly shoult not leave Cusco until you have seen the Rainbow Mountain! The hike itself was about 1.5 hours due to extremely high elevation, dedinitely went a lot slower than normal. Jose was my guide and although he could have gone up much faster he maintained his pace to make sure that I was coping well. Highly recommend this tour!

Jose is a wonderful guide. This trip would not have been so nice without him. He took care of every single thing. He briefed us the night before at the hotel on what to carry and what to expect which prepared us for the trek. It was a soectacular experience. The walk was somewhat challenging but Jose´s expertise made it easier.

I was so lucky to have had an opportunity of doing this tour with Jose as my guide. Jose is exceptional. He knew a lot about the trekking routes and the community and their history and culture. He never rushed us, he always kept to our pace and made us feel that we were doing well. A great tour leader I have ever had on my trip.

They are absolute professionals who are well aware of the route and ways to recover from altitude sickness. Jose was our guide and he is a gem of a person. He kept us occupied with his travel experiences so we won{t feel the altitude. We are grateful to Jose and Andes Peru for making this a truly special one.

First of all I would like to thank Andes Peru and Jose Ttito because they were only tour company in Cusco who offered hotel pickup. The tour was wonderful. The rainbow mountains were simply stunning. Jose is a marvellous guide with a lot of patience.

Jose made this a wonderful trip. His efforts and dedication was impressive. We were a bit scared about the high altitude climbing and Jose did absolute wonders of making it an easier trek. The trek was organised extremely well. The food that we requested for was served. Just a mindblowing experience.

I thought this was a beautiful experience. Be aware that the colors have been enhanced in many photos online, but when the sun shines across the rocks the colors are definitely more visible. This particular tour was really great and totally worth it. It includes a nice breakfast, lunch and comfortable transportation. The tour operators are also very sweet and helpful!

I booked my Rainbow Mountain trek with Andes Peru Tours, Jose Tito was my guide and his knowledge and patience is worth an applause. The whole experience was absolutely a memorable one just because of having a well experienced guide. Jose was equipped with Oxy Shots just in case if a group member fell sick at higher altitude. He was calm and always maintaineed a fair paece to ensure all group members were coping well with the climb. Highly recommended.

We took this trip two days after finishing the Salkantay Trek with them. We were pretty tired - but i think doing the Salkantay Trek first helped us with any altitude issues. Our guide was Jose who also took us on Salkantay Trek, he was fantastic as usual - many travellers were driven to the mountainin a van - it was nice to have someone who could show us the way. The drive is a bit long(around three hours from Cusco - we started at 3:30am). It is also pretty bouncy - the altitude and the road can cause headache. Andes Peru Tour and Adventure provided a nice breakfast before heading up to the summit and a nice lunch after the climb. We were back in out hotel in Cusco by 5 PM. The walk up the mountain wasn´t too steep or scary. It is just difficult because of the altitude. Jose was persuuading us every time and was also prepared with a can of Oxy Shot, which gave us some confidence. An unforgettable experience with a great operator.

We contacted the agency via web, they were always in touch with us, they also answered our questions. Both the guide and the driver were very friendly and attentive to us, the excursion to the colorful mountain is an incredible experience, beautiful landscapes, you know the people of the area who were also friendly, we had lunch in a place where you enjoy an extraordinary landscape we enjoyed a typical rich CUSCO meal.
