Rainbow Mountain Classic Day Trip From Cusco

We were visiting rainbow mountain on the last day of our trip to Peru Our guide for the day was Jonathan. The hike to it was challenging for us as an couple cause of the altitude and we were tired as we were close to the end of our trip. But our guide really encouraged, motivated us and kept pushing us that we can make it. He gave us constant tips and we were glad that we were able to complete the hike and take back beautiful memories. Highly recommend and thank you.

Very nice experience! The transfer and the guide were very good. It is a demanding hike but very beautiful. It would be good to have another half hour to recover and climb to the top where better photos are taken. At least with my physical condition, I didn't have the breath to do everything so fast! Always bring coca and agua florida, it saves you!

Excellent experience!! My daughters and my son-in-law went up walking, I went up by motorcycle. The landscape both on the route and at the summit is beautiful! The transfers and the guide were professional with good and very punctual transportation. The mountain looks beautiful. The sky as blue as a background for the colors of the mountain was wonderful!

It was incredible!! It is very friendly for going with children because the climb was done on ATVs. The weather was very good, but the El Niño phenomenon made it unpredictable. It snowed 2 days before but fortunately half of the mountain cleared of snow and we were able to see it well.

The logistics of the visit are very well prepared, from the hotel pickup with a very comfortable Van, the guide very attentive, the site is very nice, the walk to the tip of the mountain where Vinicunca is located (Mountain of 7 colors) is very demanding, it is recommended not to do it immediately arrive in Cusco, they must wait at least 2 days to be used to the height and try not to drink liquor or eat heavy meals the night before, the hike is 3.5 km climb that are very demanding, the weather is very cold and with a lot of wind, they must be very warm and wear glasses and gloves, also wear shoes to not slip and be able to step on pools and stones, when reaching the top, the view is spectacular, maybe take time the line for photography but worth it, the descent is just as difficult as exhaustion is felt on return, I recommend to bring energy bars and water

I was worried about making this trail because of the altitude, but I was surprised! I was able to finish without feeling bad! The guide guidelines were essential and the help with the flowering water too! Rs Being acclimatized is really essential! I felt a lot of difference when I did the 7 lagoons, where I was only 2 days away in Cusco, when I did this, which I did after 5 days in the city. Breakfast and lunch very good too! We received a blanket from the agency in the van to cover ourselves as soon as the tour began, because it was quite cold, thanks for the care! I loved and super recommend.

The plan we acquired included climbing a stretch by motorcycle cart, then climbing the mountain on foot, which involves great physical effort..... But the final view, the mountain, the wasteland and in general the whole landscape is worth it. It's a wonderful place.

The whole course is an endless beauty! I went to the horse the first half hour for 70 soles and it was very worth it, but attention: give coke gum inside, take breaks if necessary, because if you don't have physical preparation, tired yes. ドライバーとガイド、15人ほどの参加者でベンツのワゴンに乗り込みます。途中軽い朝食を取って山道を進み、レインボーマウンテン駐車場に。ここから頂上までは約７Kmのトレッキングになります。 別料金で馬を借りることもできます。頂上までのほとんどは、緩やかな上り坂で、ここが標高4,500mでなければ、お散歩みたいなものですが、クスコで高度順応してきたとはいえ、60際を超えるとキツイ...。グループから徐々に遅れますが、ガイドさんはグループのメンバーひとりひとりがどこにいるか常に気配りしながら見ていてくれて、時には降りてきて声をかけてくれました。 頂上までの最後の数百mは急な上り坂で、特にキツかったですが、ビューポイント、そして頂上に着いたときの感動は、素晴らしいものがありました。 登りではロクに楽しむことができなかったアンデス山脈の素晴らしい景色も、下りでは余裕で楽しむことができました。私たちより遅れた人もいて、全員が無事駐車場に戻るまで、ガイドさんはしっかり寄り添っていました。早めに降りた人たちは、ワゴンで休んだりお土産を買ったりできたので、文句一つ言わず、遅れて降りてきた人たちを激励・歓迎していました。 下山後、朝食を摂った場所でのランチ・ブッフェは美味しかったです。 早朝出発は少しきつかったけど、責任感の強いガイドさんのお陰で5,000mを超える頂上で素晴らしい景色を楽しむことができました。

The effort on the climb is worth it. I recommend 100% doing the climbing and descending on horseback to not get so fatigued in the end. On the other hand, 100% warm up from the cold in such height and patience to wait for the clouds to clear.

Unfortunately because of the weather and the height we did not get to see the mountain well but if we take a picture and enjoy the view, you have to have a lot of courage to do everything on foot, in my defense I got tired climbing the stairs to get to buy clothes and I took my horse, because I am not a person who loves trekking, gym or any physical activity 😅 but we will return when my bbs are bigger because I affect them very much the altitude as we do but super, chauffeur guide who was in charge of taking care of them while we climbed..

My visit to the Mountain of 7 Colors was great, considering the climatic factor, it is strong the climb, however when you reach the top you thank all the effort to get there, very grateful with Machu Picchu Tours Agency.

The tour to the Mountain of 7 colors was certainly the best experience I could have, the hike to the top with beautiful landscapes and reaching the Vinicunca mountain certainly leaves one more than delighted, our guide on this trip Carlos, is a plus in the tour makes it super bearable and makes you enjoy it more, also we take us to know the Red Valley which looks like a landscape taken from another planet. The agency staff always attentive, definitely super recommended!

We did the mountain tour in four-wheelers, an amazing experience, the very friendly guide, everything offered was fulfilled, the only thing we didn't have much luck with the weather, it was very cloudy, it snowed and rained, we had to wait to achieve some photos with the classic view, we still enjoyed it and had a great time.

The plan was great! The pickup was super punctual at 4am in our airbnb, we left for breakfast in the Vinicunca Restaurant very rich buffet style. We arrived at the start of the 7-color mountain hike and took 11⁄2 hours, it is an excellent place and the Sandro Guide very pending everyone. We also spent a short visit to the Red Valley and returned to the minivan. We returned to the Restaurant and had lunch, again super good buffet style. We will repeat this and other plans with the agency, they are very serious, punctual and professional people!!!

Robinson took a lot of time to tell us all about Rainbow Mountain and the animals that live there. We also learned a lot about Peruvian culture from him. Just a great guy who can tell he enjoys what he does. The food was super delicious.

Just amazing, definitely a challenge that one has to set out to break, the help of our Guide Carlos "Parker" was the best, the information was complete and concise, despite being about 12 people was attentive to each of us.

Although I really feel it is very expensive to go on a horse or motorcycle in both the colorful mountain and the humantay lagoon, I consider that people get a lot of advantage by using that service, in my case it was mandatory to have gone on horseback in both activities since I have asthma and it gets complicated
