Private Machu Picchu Day Tour By Panoramic Train

This was a truly incredible experience! They picked me up at my hotel in Cusco right on time, drove me to the train station and then had a phenomenal guide (Sifuentes Sullcaccori Carlos) meet me in Aguas Caliente and guide me through Machu Picchu. The train ride was gorgeous. I met other travelers and enjoyed the music and dancing. The view along the Urubamba River was spectacular! I couldn’t imagine a better guide than Carlos. He is phenomenally knowledgeable and passionate about the area. He carted around a few dozen books and would pull one out to show old photos of the area, or pictures of various produce in Peru, I enjoyed the time I spent with Carlos and hope to return for another tour with him someday with my family! After the tour, we went back to Aguas Caliente, where I had time for lunch and a walk around the beautiful town, then took the train back to Ollantaytambo where another driver met me and drove me back to Cusco. I would absolutely book this tour again!

The tour guide was nice, but the problem was that we book the tour on 7.12 because we came to Cusco on 5.12 to acclimatise. But that was not possible, the agency informed us 3 days before that Machu Picchu was not possible to see on 7.12 in whole 3 circuit just circuit 1, where you see the machu piccu just on the top and not whole. There was other tours before available but we took this one which was more expensive because you come afternoon back to Cusco and when you travel with small kids we must always compromise. So ok the tour was ok. But not what we were expecting. Thank you for the experience.

The views were amazing. Our tour guide, Judie, did a great job of trekking up at a slower pace that helped me tremendously, 59 years old. She also took time to let us get photos when and where ever we wanted and offered to take many for us. She was very helpful and made the experience very wonderful. We loved our Machu Pichu trip!

The panoramic train journey provided incredible views, the organisation was superb as I was met at every point by a tour representative and I felt incredibly safe as a single lady traveller. My guide Martin was lovely and very informative.

Our experience with this tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! We were picked up from our hotel in Cusco in a top-notch, comfortable vehicle for our drive to Ollantaytambo. The journey was smooth, and our driver was courteous and professional. Upon arriving at Ollantaytambo, we boarded the train to Aguascalientes, where we were greeted at the station by another friendly team member who guided us to the bus line to Machu Picchu. Once at Machu Picchu, our guide truly made the experience unforgettable. She led us from the entrance to the site with a perfect pace—giving us plenty of time to take in the breathtaking surroundings without feeling rushed. Her knowledge of the rich history, culture, and significance of Machu Picchu was impressive, and she explained everything clearly and engagingly. Her passion for the history of the area shone through, making our tour informative and enjoyable. At the end of our tour, the return trip to Cusco was just as well-coordinated. We boarded the bus back to Aguascalientes, took the train back to Ollantaytambo, and then were driven back to Cusco in the same comfortable vehicle. The entire day was seamless, thanks to the excellent organization and outstanding guide. Highly recommended!

This tour was perfect! From start to finish, they took care of everything and guided us through the entire experience. They came to our hotel in Cusco the night before to go over details and the next day everything went according to schedule (and all on time!). Pick up in Cusco at 5:30AM, got to Ollantaytambo by 7:15 and had such a fun train ride on the vistadome train (the balcony train is so worth it!) reached Aguas Calientes by 9:30, then made it to Machu Picchu to meet our tour guide by 10:00. We made it back to Cusco by 7:30PM. It really took away the stress of trying to plan travel to and from Machu Picchu, including the tickets into MP. All the staff and guides were extremely kind and helpful. Shout out to Edwin who gave us an amazing private tour of Machu Picchu and also took iconic photos of us! Highly recommend this tour if you're looking for a hassle-free and memorable trip to Machu Picchu!

We booked a last minute visit to Machu Picchu and did not know that tickets for the site were sold out for the day we planned to visit. Jhordy did an amazing job getting us tickets for a few days later and took care of every part of the plan, making sure we had a ride from our hotel to the Ollantaytambo train station, train to Aguas Calientes, tickets and guide for Machu Picchu, train back to Ollantaytambo, and drive to Cusco. It all worked perfectly and he was in constant communication with us to answer our questions and help. Highly recommended!

SAND FLIES BEWARE. We had no clue these little bugs calls sandflies or “no-see-ums” all over the mountain. Our guide and the multiple people who helped set this up did not mention anything about bugs. I got bite all over my arms by these invisible bugs and now over a month later I’m still dealing with lesions and nasty nasty sores from their bite, they are incredibly sensitive and can take even up to a year to go away I’ve read. I’m just so shocked they don’t warn more people about this. Please just bring bug spray so you are not like me paying thousands a month later on dermatologist appointments. I think the bugs actually gave me leishmaniasis which is a disease from their bite. BEWARE.

Jhordy met us at our hotel the night prior to provide necessary details of our upcoming day. He answered all of our questions. Our guide Ronald was amazing. He was very informative and accommodating. This company is highly recommended.

we had a great time form start to finish, Jhordi met us the evening before to explain the plan of the day and then everything went exactly as planned except a delay on the train home which was nobodies fault, the driver patiently waited the extra hour or so so take us back no problem. The town of Machu Picchu was great, we had lunch and dinner there the of course visiting Matchu Picchu itself was exactly what you would expect, fantastic!. The only comment I would make and this seems to be the same for every tour operator is meeting places often dont exist, have moved, or there are multiple with the same name, make sure you know exactly where you are meeting.

Nothing but good to say. I contacted the group as soon as I arrived to my hotel to verify the reservation and immediatly they started to offer assistance to make the tour more seamless. They actually met me at the hotel and assisted me in organizing my transportation to the meeting spot which was totally suppose to be on me and completely out of their scope of responsibility. The guide we worked with was excelent, and Machu Picchu was everything we were hoping. I mentioned I was planning a trek in the Andes and they offered to help make the necessary contacts and were extremely budget conscience. Five day trek though the Andes later, and my son and I have memories we will cherish the rest of our lives. I could not have possibly had the total Peruvian experience without their knowledge and willingness to help me every step of the way. Booked this tour thru Inca Rail which was a great decision as the package included bus transport from Cusco to train station in Ollantaytambo then train ride to Aguas Calientes with final bus to Machu Picchu entrance. Tour starts at about 5am and Bus ride to train station is about an hour, train ride is about 2 hours, lastly bus ride to Machu Picchu entrance is about 30 min. Tour of the ruins is about 2 hours. Then same trek in reverse back to Cusco. Your tour also includes entrance ticket to MP. You’ll have about 2 hours after tour in Aguas calientes to eat and shop before return to Cusco. Layer up as day starts cold but MP gets warm; wear sunblock, dress comfortable and be prepared to walk. Inca Rail staff was professional. Tour guide, also included, was very knowledgeable and detailed in explaining facts and details about MP. Very happy I booked tour with Inca Rail. Aguas calientes had a great restaurant called Full house with amazing views of the mountains. Great good and drinks.

It was a perfectly organised tour and the guide was very attentive and helpful. Machu Picchu is massive and having an English speaking guide with such an immense knowledge was certainly a plus. I am very happy and totally convinced with the whole trip and totally reccomend them.

A dream come true with Fly cusco on this well organised tour to Machu ´Picchu from Cusco. We had our own guide who was very nice and knowledgable and spoke a lot about the Incas history. We discovered many sites in the citadel and learnt a lot about the use of each to the Incas. The train ride too was rewarding and so was the treansfer from Cusco and back. It was a flawless experience from start to end.

If you haven't been to Machupicchu before, I highly recommend this. The guide who greeted me was very friendly and knowledgeable. At every corner, he would tell me some interesting part of history about the Incas and was able to answer most of my questions. I don't think I would have been able to fully appreciate the historical significance of Machupicchu without him. In brief, it was an fun and instructive experience.

An incredible experience thanks to fly cusco! I went to Cusco alone and I didn't worry about anything, they solved everything for me. When I arrived in Aguas Calientes my guide Paulo was already waiting for me and it was wonderful! He explained everything to me about Machu Picchu and the Inca people, removed all doubts, all in Portuguese. And also made a lot of photos and videos. Thank you for everything!

The carriers back and forth had a very good Service and were very friendly and polite. The train presents a beautiful landscape and is very comfortable. The hotel has a beautiful room with hot water and breakfast is amazing. The guide who accompanied us to machupichu was very good, gave us very good information and was very friendly. Everything Very well organized and very nice place , the tour was private so the transport was only for my boyfriend and I, (not in a group) , the train had shows, I recommend it 100% worth , the place is far away in Transport so it is worth its price , the thing about the walk is little (I have no physical condition and is achieved perfectly) the walk goes at a slow pace (time to breathe) , why there are several stops with the guide , while giving information or explaining about the place...
