About Activity
Private half-day cultural and archaeological tour through the southern valley of Cusco, combining Inca engineering, pre-Inca history, and colonial art. Begin at Tipón, an impressive Inca site known for its advanced hydraulic system, where carved stone canals still carry flowing water through terraces used for agriculture.
Continue to Pikillacta, a pre-Inca archaeological complex of the Wari civilization, featuring wide urban layouts and ancient adobe structures that reflect early Andean city planning. The journey then leads to Andahuaylillas, home to the famous San Pedro Apostol Church, known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Andes,” with richly decorated interiors, murals, gold leaf details, and colonial artwork.
This route offers a unique blend of nature, engineering, and cultural heritage in just half a day.
