He was a lovely, friendly and funny tour guide. He made sure that no one in the group blocked anyone else’s way, which we Germans really appreciate. He also took some great photos of us at the famous spots.

My family and I toured Machu Picchu with Ernesto. He met us at the bus stop, and helped us get a bus to get there. Once we arrived we had 2/2.5 hours to do Route 2. He was so lovely, and really explained everything in great detail. We got a good impression of life in Machu Picchu and Ernesto taught us lots of interesting facts about the town and Incan life. He also took lots of amazing photos and videos of us, making sure we had the best views. Great value for money, and had we gone by ourselves we would have missed so much.

We met Ernesto outside of the train station! It was an amazing tour - he knows everything about machpichu and speaks very good english. 10/10 would recommend excellent value for the money. He even knew when to walk in so we could get a coffee and then skip the lines. Great experience!

He took alot of photos of us and even went through the historical events and answered any questions we had regarding the site. Overally, it was a very delightful and fun experience! Ernesto was a great guide. We were initially thinking about visiting without a guide but we’re really pleased we went with Ernesto. There were just four of us in the group so it was easy to listen to his commentary (which taught us a lot about the site, it’s buildings snd its history) and meant we had time for photos (which Ernesto helped us with). All in all, great value for money.

Ernesto was our guide and he was amazing. He met us at the bus line and even helped us figure out the bus tickets. Once there he was very efficient at getting us in line and in asap for our time slot. He was incredibly knowledgeable and knew all the ways to make our experience not feel over crowded by other people. It was good to understand the history and nuances of the buildings while walking around. It provides a deeper appreciation for the historical site. We had Ernesto as our tour guide and he was amazing! He was able to help maximize our experience with informative descriptions of everything we walked past and was an incredibly kind and thoughtful guide. I recently took a private tour of Machu Picchu’s Circuit 1, and while it was a memorable experience, I wish I had chosen a longer circuit. The guide was absolutely fantastic—his knowledge of the Inca culture, history, and the architecture of Machu Picchu was impressive. He was incredibly passionate about sharing details that made the site come alive, and his explanations added so much depth to the experience. The circuit itself was a bit short, and although we saw some beautiful views and key areas, I felt like we didn’t get the chance to fully explore the ancient city of the Incas. I would highly recommend opting for a longer route if you really want to dive deeper into the history and visit more of the site.

Ernesto was a great tour guide, provided information in Spanish and English and gave great insight to the history of the incas If you get chance and can book in advance go for the tour of the viewpoint and citadel. Also, book online - way cheaper than booking through a travel agent

WOW! Once in a lifetime experience and all thanks to Ernesto and his amazing guide skills. We met Ernesto in the bus line in Aguas Calientes the morning of our 9am reservation for Machu Picchu. He gave us a briefing of the tour, what to expect and answered all of our questions. We felt so well taken care of and didn’t have to worry about a thing except for enjoying one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Communication before the tour was very good. Pickup from station was smooth and easy, and the guide took us to the bus stop which was good. However unfortunately our guide was not good, focussing too much on his own academic work on Machu Picchu but not providing information to us or answering our questions. The photos taken were also mixed in quality. Second half of the tour was much better as he provided a lot more information regarding the ruins which we were more interested in than his thesis.
