About Activity
Today we will embark on a 10-hour journey through the Sacred Valley, exploring its rich history, ancestral traditions, and the vibrant culture of its present-day towns. Our adventure begins at 3,200 meters above sea level at the Taray viewpoint, where we will take in a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley.
We will then ascend to the top of Apu Inti Huatana hill to visit the archaeological complex of Pisac, home to impressive stone terraces and offering a privileged view of the traditional town below. As we walk through its structures, we will discover why it is considered one of the most important sites in the valley, renowned for its advanced urban planning and its distinct sectors or “neighborhoods” dedicated to religious ceremonies, residences, and temples.
Afterward, we will visit the town of Pisac, known for its peaceful streets and vibrant market, where its millenary heritage is proudly reflected in textiles, ceramics, jewelry, and other handicrafts. We will conclude this enriching experience with a delicious lunch at Hacienda Sarapampa, a historic estate that blends history, culture, and gastronomy centered on the production of Cusco’s giant corn. During our visit, we will learn about the hacienda’s agricultural legacy while enjoying its exquisite local cuisine.
The experience includes transfer from your hotel in Cusco to your hotel in the Sacred Valley, along with a Spanish- or English-speaking guide.
